If you look in the government pages of your local phone book, you will find numbers for their DC office and their local offices if they have one. You can also call the White House. That number you have to call information for. You could even get the numbers online. THe area code for Washington, DC is 202.

My Back Pages and
Stuck Inside of Mobile with the Memphis Blues Again.
rub all the pages with a dry sheet. (Sm)
One sheet will do a whole book. And it really works. I had a few books that I bought on ebay that smelled of smoke. Dry sheets did the trick for all of them and the smell hasn't come back.
remember a few pages/posts back..sm
when you'd taken a break from the board and everyone was concerned, looking for you, e-mailing to see if you were okay? That's bkz we care. You've got an extraordinary sense of humor, can banter witty and always bring a smile to our otherwise hum-drum lives!
Whoever said "sticks and stones can break my bones, but words can never harm me" was the village idiot!
Don't let anyone get you down. Cat
P.S. I have ink in the cartridge and I have noticed that if it sits between printing pages then are
okay but if you run a lot at once they get really light after the first one.
I read this book also. Wonderful book.

I would take his phone away or make him pay the bills for the phone
He can use the postal service to write her letters if he wants but there is no excuse. College is not highschool and if he's gonna make a go of it...be the parent and discipline....my opinion but take the phone away.
It was our government that got those
people into trouble. Most could not afford 200K houses and they should never have given them loans. Also the fact they were led to believe they could afford them. These are people who had nothing and just wanted the "good life".
Government has nothing to do with this particular
were 'banned'. This teacher isn't teaching 'strong political views'. She's just including her class in a positive experience. There's already far too much negativity taught in school, church, and at home.
This is just another example of the government interfering where
they should not be. We women, as adults, know what is RIGHT for US. They do not. They should have no say whatsoever in this. It is called a CHOICE! As American citizens we should have freedome of choice!
It's OUR place to tell our government that
Don't forget, the government is supposed to be owned by us, US citizens. They have gotten so giddy with power, they have forgotten that. Why else do they write their own paychecks, given themselves raises, and can continue to draw HUGE incomes after they leave office for the rest of their lives, including HUGE incomes for their wives long after they are dead, free healthcare, all the perks. These are public officials. Once they are out of office, they're on their own. We have let them take control of OUR government. It's up to us to take it back. You have a phone, e-mail, petitions.......you get the message across to them. Don't wait for others to do it for you.
That is why they are here... Mexican government wants them out

If the &*%& government would let teachers...
and heck, even students arm themselves, we wouldn't be sending lambs to the slaughter like that. They would've at least had a fighting chance. If I'm going to die, give me the chance to die while fighting to protect myself and others. Why should the criminals be the only ones who can arm themselves? This is a very heated topic 'round these parts where it seems they want to take our right to protect ourselves away at every corner.
Didn't one of our fellow MTs on this board here have a daughter who got into some serious doo-doo at her school for having pepper spray on her keychain? Explain to me how THAT makes sense to punish a kid, or parent, for wanting to give them a fighting chance and protecting themselves.
there are MANY ways our government
and I believe there are many people angry about the money spent on this war.
Dear Government
Please pass a law to stop offshoring so I can have my job back!
I agree completely....government once again
xx
The big deal is your federal government....
You're absolutely right. They have some identifiable information on file about citizens, so why would they need to change anything and put more restrictions in place? I'm more confused as to why US citizens don't ask why? If they've got everything on us, then what could possibly be the reason to do this?
That should be the worst crisis in government!

The government could manufacture and sell
universial health care a hundred times over. Problem solved.
The government will pay for birth control..
go to a planned parenthood. Very very cheap. There really is no excuse for 7 kids and no job for either parent. Join the military, get a job, like you said, at Wendy's or Wal-Mart or something. I am not against a hand up, but I am very much against a hand out.
Maybe then the government should ban Coca Cola and Pepsi from
producing their product, for as we all know, sugar causes teeth decay. And how about caffeine. Look at all the deliterious efforts that are a result of ingesting that! And how about alcohol. Maybe the government could shut down all restaurant and liquor stores and set us back to the days of prohibition, when, even though imany highly intelligent people STILL found a way to produce it to drink it to excess or not. Tobacco -- we all know it's not good for use, by Phillip Morris, et all still keeps cropping the tobacco field, and being taxed by the government. If anything, that is a perfect example of why the government should make it illegal to sell tobacco, but they dont, because the taxes they place on it are astronimal and keep all the workers "for the people" with cash in their pockets...The point is our freedom of choice is being decided by those other than ourselves, and with that, I WHOLEHEARTEDLY DISAGREE.
OnStar is your choice......not government imposed
xx
She was grateful, but our government sucks 'WAY too
Also, since a bonus is really a GIFT from the company, I think it should fall under "gift" status with the IRS, and not be subject to taxes, either.
I feel sorry for people who live off the government
I have raised 2 kids that did not have to do without and on my own. I was a divorced woman and did not, thank goodness, have to rely on anyone or anything else. I am much stronger than that.
It's named Gardasil. Unless it is government or state funded.....(sm)
I can not see too many parents jumping at this opportunity. It is a noncovered service by all insurances. It is given in a series of 3 separate injections. The current recommendation is to be given to young girls between the ages of 10 to 12. So if a parent decides to vaccinate her little girl against this, I guess the "bird and the bees talk" will have to be undertaken before the little girl asks "Why I am going to the doctor to get a shot, and what is it for? (given the very natural inquistive nature of children on all subjects.)
No smoking in public places, must wear seat belt in car, must wear bicycle helmet, and some states helmet required when riding motorcycles, restaurants not using transfats in their cooking,.....WHEN WILL ALL THESE NON-SELF INFLICTED RESTRICTIONS STOP????????...IS THIS STILL AMERICA??
I am a Libertarian and pretty fanatical about "Big Government"
This whole thing is a tempest in a teapot. The government ALREADY HAS this information. WHAT IS THE BIG DEAL??
For me it is not about gay/straight - it is about government taking too much control of our children
That is a really sore subject with me!! I want everyone to live their lives and teach their children as they see fit. As far as the gay/straight issue, I have taught my children who are 8 and 11 about homosexuality, about people being different, acceptance, not to be judgemental. I just have an issue when public school teachers want to use the school as a public forum for whatever reason. In school I remember a teacher who had strong political views and she taught us daily her way of thinking. I don't think that is fair. I think certain things should be reserved for parents to teach their children.
O talks about our government being fiscally responsible and his wife is wearing $500 designer shoes.
It's not "her money to spend as she pleases." It's my money, your money, his money, her money. O better put up or shut up and that means his family too. No more big talk about the deficit, fiscal responsbility, and redistribution of wealth when when his wife is walking around in designer duds. Am I the only person that sees hypocrisy in that?
DR Book
We just got our copy this week and after the first few pages - I believe it is going to hurt!! We need it though - husband is really stressed. We have two kids in college and one goes in next year. Two oldest are getting married soon - SCARY STUFF!!
best book
Thanks for the insight. I love to read and have trouble with finding good books. Have you read The Kite Runner? It is one of my all time bests. You have to stay with it though.
In the book
The Five People You Meet is Heaven (obviously fiction) tells about choosing the best time in your life and that is what "your" heaven will be like. I love the thought of that. Am still trying to decide what I could choose.
Do you have his book?
Cesar would say that nobody has established the leadership role, so the dog has taken it. Somebody has to do it.
She's being dominant. The good news is that if you learn how to be the leader and your kids learn to act like Cesar has taught his kids, your dog will happily fill the proper place in the pack. It wouldn't matter if she was 14 years old. Dogs live in the moment. She's been learning all you've been accidentally teaching all this time.
One thing about the process is that you need to dedicate whatever time is needed; you don't give up in the middle of a lesson or you have to start over next time. Get Cesar's book or books and be the a pack leader your dog can be proud to follow. :o>
There are other methods as well, and you can get other books. Many "real" dog trainers think his tactics are way off base, but often they soften after reading his book and seeing where he's coming from. But IMO your dog is a candidate for his methods.
Nothing-In-Life-Is-Free is one popular training method.
Self-help book
This book changed my life many years ago. Read it; you will not be sorry. "Your Erroneous Zones" by Dr. Wayne W. Dyer.

The Bluejay Boarders! I do not even remember who wrote it but it was the first book I really read all by myself, first chapter book so to speak and it made me cry. To this day I cannot find that book! Anybody ever heard of it?
yes, that was book 4
She has published 6 in the series so far and #7 should be out next year. DG has said that there will be "at least" 8, so leaving open the possibility for a 9th. She also has plans for a second Outlandish companion book and a prequel about Jamie's parents, but who knows when.

Here is the site where I found the book... all the way at the bottom you can click on read all reviews & read what everybody is saying about it. I saw the movie & if this book is half as good as that movie it will be great! Everybody says really good things about the book:) may wanna check it out!
this is not a book, but
My teenage son wants one of these DVD:
Wanted, Hellboy2, and Hancock...in case movies are an option. Sometimes my neighborhood kids have movie parties and if someone gets a new one they get voted to watch theirs. It might make the gift last a little longer if they can share it with their friends.
book for you

This is a really complicated subject, even though your question is simple. You probably should go have a talk with your FIL about what he considers standard equipment for the house in your area. Good luck!
another book
I get dressed every day and keep my lace up shoes on all day, otherwise I will be tempted to nap..... After two years in my robe I was a bag lady.

book
I read a book about emergency preparedness. Wish I could tell you I had enough money to bury, but I don't!
We eat out mostly at the local pub.
We're lucky to have a real neighborhood Irish pub, and we like to meet up with friends there, listen to music, have a beer and a sandwich. It probably costs us about $30 for two of us. Since we're nearly empty-nesters, it's just DH and I who go out. Big, fancy dinners are usually just for birthdays or anniversaries.
When we're just too tired to cook, then it's "fend for yourself night" . My sons know how to cook. DH not so much. But he can make a sandwich, and there's usually something leftover that he can make. My youngest son is a good cook, and if I ask him he'll usually make dinner for all of us when I'm just too tired to bother.
Also, a Crockpot is a marvelous thing! I love it. A little planning and effort, and dinner is in the pot cooking all day and ready for dinner time.
Book online if you can...
And save your confirmation and payment receipt with your tickets. You should receive confirmation in your cabin at least 24 hours before your first shore excursion. If you don't, check with the Purser's office or the shore excursion desk.
I have traveled on Carnivel three times, most recently last month. I much prefer booking tours online instead of standing in line, and that eliminates finding out your tour is booked up once you get to the desk. Online will tell you immediately if the tour you want, at the time you've chosen, is full or not.
Hope this helps and that you have a great time. I love cruising!
Dog allergies/dog book
Don't know what kind of a dog but my sister had a Red Setter that had thyroid problems and also an allergy to wheat and so they had to buy special food without wheat which was only "Friskies" and that did help to cure the itching. Oprah had a repeat on about the Dog Whisper and showed how he cured several dogs of being aggressive around other dogs. His book is wonderful. My neighbor got it and it worked for them. Have been luck with my dog, she is now 16 which is very old for her mix -- chow/lab and she has never been aggressive. Did not have any puppy problems with chewing or barking. Of course she got her walks every day of over 2 miles at a time and I think that exercise is the biggest help. Never crated her either and if and when I get another one will not do that to a dog. Mine is now deaf and partially blind but still walks up to the park three times a day, slow but does it. Never an accident in the house. No medications except aspirin. She will probably outlive me.
So, because I have his book I am uneducated?
Hmmmmm.
I ordered the DVD and the book.
I have been applying The Secret for about 2 or maybe a little more weeks now. Also my husband and grown son are using it. We are all experiencing interesting results. I am using it to lose weight and so far have lost several pounds without dieting. My son worked on 5000 dollars and last week received 1000 and then got another 4000. My husband is using it for more energy.
OK-what is your fav book or what are you reading now
My very favorite book is Outlander by Diana Galbadon and I am current re-reading the second book in the Outlander series, Dragonfly in Amber. I would like to reread all 6 of them this summer, but Harry Potter is also coming out, so we'll see. They are all huge books.
Cesar's book
No I don't have that book but I will get it. Thanks for the info. Hopefully we can retrain her to not be aggressive. She does play and loves to play, but only on her terms. She is very ornery at times with the kids. She doesn't like them picking her up. She doesn't like being moved when she's comfortable. She can be fun and cute and playful, but I really don't like her being mean any at all, no time is acceptable to me for her to be mean. And she barks incessantly! At the mail man every day, anytime she sees anyone outside, neighbor, UPS, fedex, she goes berserk! I don't think she'd really hurt them if she could get to them, but I can't afford to take that chance either.
I am using his book as a reference also. Thank you! nm
