If you are serious contact the seller/bank- sm

and make an offer. How low they will go depends on how long they have been trying to sell, what they have invested in it. IF the previous owners owed a lot on it, the bank will probably still want fair market value. Years ago I thought about buy the house next door to my parents (about 3500 sq ft with a huge 2 car garage and an old pool that either needed to be filled in or total destroyed and redone), I went through it with the relator. The house was about 30 years old then, the previous owners and their 6 kids had basically destroyed it, burned/scratched up hardwood floors, broken doors, windows, etc. the kitchen was original from 1964 as were the bathrooms, etc. It needed lots of work, a new roof, you name it, it needed it. The bank would not take less than $200K-- I was not willing to spend that kind of money on a house that needed at least $100K worth of work on it. They eventually got some sucker to pay it though; and boy did they spend some cash on it. Looks great now and work about $400K at least, but they probably spent that much to fix it and buy it. --- one note of caution when you buy a forecloser though, I believe previous owner has a year to reclaim the property-- if they show up with back payments in hand, etc. they can take the house back from you, improvements and all and you do not get a penny back. So be subtle in your home improvements or wait a year to do anything major.

You contact first the seller on ebay
and then ebay directly if it is not resolved.
It is mainly the fact that the seller will not..sm
respond to any emails. All he has to do is respond and say yes it has been shipped. It leads me to believe he is avoiding me.
I think I would make one more attempt with the seller..sm
and if no compromise can be made, then I would contact E-bay.

Personally, I wouldn't buy anything from E-bay, just for that reason, but that is just me. I am not a very trusting person. I hope you get your money back.
I think it is true that the seller has to disclose this
fact.
This way the buyer can decide if he still wants to buy and live in this house.

Assume he buys the house, then neighbors tell him the story. He might freak out and not want anymore to live in this house.

Some people are superstitious and believe even in ghosts or that this house may be haunted.

I think there is even a law in real estate that demands that the seller discloses all flaws of the house and does not keep anything hidden.

Honestly, I myself would not buy a house where somebody committed suicide or was murdered.
I remember when we bought a house, the agent even told us that the father of the owner had died in this house, a natural death, and he showed us exactly in what room and where.

I thought it was a strange disclosure, but it is obvious the law.
Is he a high-volume "power seller"?
A lot of the "Power Sellers" who do mega sales often don't respond to emails of any kind, even a question about the item before you place a bid. If he has tons of feedback and lots of items listed for sale, he might be one of those types of sellers.

It's frustrating to pay for something and then endure the long wait for it to arrive, so you have my sympathy. Hopefully it arrives soon :-).
I pay most through my bank
Most banks offer a bill payment option.  I get to pick and choose when and what and how much.  I love this option as I generally seem to forget to buy stamps!  Out of all my household bills, only one is not paid online and it is simply dropped off.
Does anyone not use a bank?
I'm getting so sick of fees and am tired of trying to second guess my bank.  Does anyone not use one or not have a checking account?
use a bank
I would recommend trying to find a credit union. They are more user friendly. I have been using one for over 15 years now and never looked back. There are Very few, if any fees and good service. Hope this helps.
bank
I have used a credit union for 31 years.  If you can find a credit union in your area, it is the best way to go if you think you have to have a bank. I only have a savings account at a credit union so I can cash my check for free, but I still have to deposit some of it or they will charge me.  Otherwise, Wal-Mart will cash your check for a fee and you can buy money orders for like 35 cents a piece at Wal-Mart.  that works for me cuz I only have 6 bills, mortgage, gas, lights, water, car insurance, phone to pay.  Or listen to financial guru's like Dave Ramsey and see what they have to say about it.  Also there is checkfinder.com.  They have some rules but may be the best way if you feel like you have to have a bank/checking account.
If it is like my bank they will cover you up to $500 -sm
and you have 3 days to payback the bank, which you already did. You did not have anything bounce, so no one will have notices saying not to accept your checks. The bank will be charging you though for their service of covering for you, so you may need to put in another $100 or so to cover that before Friday, check with the bank. You can probably manage your account on-line, check into it, great way to make sure you don't over draw yourself. I try to keep $1000 in the savings account for such emergencies, also with my bank they will automatically transfer the money in from savings to checking if I do overdraft for no charge since I have the money there.
You should have just cashed it at their bank - sm
I know in the past that a bank had to cash a check drawn on their bank; they may charge you $5 to do this if you do not have an account there (I have had that happen recently. Did that years ago when an ex-boyfriend owed me money, took me 2 months to beat $150 out of him; day I got the check from him I took it to his bank and cashed it to be on the safe side.) I have no idea what they do if the funds are not there, but was under the impression they had to cash it no matter what. But if you deposit it, and it bounces you will not see a dime of it and the bank will charge you a couple bucks for their inconvenience. The store will get slammed with a bounced check charge though. The bank should mail the check back to you if it does bounce though so you can re-deposit it at a later date hopefully when the funds are there; at least that is what mine would do when a former employers checks to me would bounce from time to time (and I would be charged $3 for it bouncing which stunk). If you deposited before 2 (sounds like you did not though) you will have the money tomorrow, if it was after 2 then it wil be there on Friday; check in the morning of whichever day is applicable and you will have your answer. Good luck.
I really do not resemble a bank so therefore
do not loan, give money away. The best way you can lose a friend or family members is when money gets involved. I, in your instance, would put distance between me and the other person, sounds like just using a good thing.
I said closing the bank...
…NM
Yes, and we have separate bank accounts ;)

Anyone who has banking with Bank of America
you might want to know that the CEO of this bank has decided to let illegals have accounts here in the United States. No matter they are here illegally. I am in the process of changing banks.
Used to work in a bank, under some circumstances...
they will waive the fees, as another poster said, call them and explain the situation. I would do this occasionally after looking over the person' s account and taking a few things into consideration. Overdraft protection, as stated before, is a great idea too. I keep a $400 to $500 cushion in my account; as far as I am concerned, when I only have that much in there I consider it $0. BTW, how can you not know when DH gets paid? Is he on commission or something? Good luck, call the bank, they should be able to help you.
Also at my bank if you have direct deposit
of your paychecks you can get a direct deposit advance on your check and that does get posted to your account immediately. Has saved my butt more than once! LOL
My bank has free on-line pay so I pay all
of them except 1 that I have to send in the paper account info on. I also like on-line paying because I can set up my payments in advance for the due date when the bills come in and don't forget to send something in.
New Bank Policy on Credit
I went to the bank today to apply for a new line of credit... they had this sign posted outside the door.
Check to see if your bank has any programs
Wachovia has a "way to save" account. Every time your use your debit card, they take $1 out of your checking account and put it in a savings account. We have been doing that for about a year now and have built up about $1500. It's nice because it's automatic and you don't even have to think about it.
I have 4 bank accts and pay no fees at all.

"I ran over your mother in line at the bank
That was a cute game!
he did not handle money at his last job with a bank.
Just because a person has bad credit, does not mean he's dishonest. He did not bounce checks. He did not live beyond his means. He got caught in a layoff. It's a huge stretch from being jobless to embezzlement for crying out loud. There are many jobs at a bank that do not have anything to do with money.

The way things are going with this economy, some of you might be in this situation. I'll be sure to thumb my nose at you when you start wondering what happened.
Is there a debit card available where a bank
?
How can he check bank accounts
I have my own accounts, that is right, mine, not his. He is not allowed to see my accounts. I have more than him and I do what I please with MY money. I made, received, and had before our marriage so literally it is mine.
file garnishment on bank account
so it hits his account the same day he deposits pay checks (usually Friday).
Lawsuit! How to find a company's bank?
Ok, this is it and hope you can help me. I purchased a dinette suit 04/01/2006. The company said 4-6 weeks before delivery. Paid $640.93. I never got my furniture. I called, got very few calls back from them and finally decided last July after asking for my money back to file a lawsuit. The company did not answer the first filing in 45 days and then had to put in for a default. Just went to court today finally and got a default. By the way, the company did not appear in court!! Now I can go for a garnishment of the company with this documentation but do not have a clue as to where I would find out which bank this company does business with. If anyone able to give me any insight on this, I would appreciate it. Thanks.
no, nobody knows but the bank, they will cover checks you wrote

Either the bank or Military Surplus store.

There would be only two reasons for me to run away from my home.  One reason would be voluntarily, as in winning the lottery--hence the bank.  The other would also be voluntary but there would be retribution involved--hence the Military Surplus store.

Either online or by phone with bank card. sm
I can't even remember the last time I mailed a check to anyone.
I'll bet Bank of America isn't liking this

In a revealing example of what she says the average homeowner faces, a California Congresswoman spent more than two hours on the phone trying, without success, to find someone at the Bank of America who could help a struggling constituent modify his mortgage payments. ABC News "Nightline" cameras were rolling as Congresswoman Maxine Waters (D-Ca.) was repeatedly put on hold for long stretches, disconnected, transferred to extensions that did not work and ultimately switched to a recording which directed her to the bank's website.

"The average American trying to negotiate a loan modification will not be able to get it done," said Waters. "It will be impossible for them to get in touch with the right person, and even if they get in touch with a so-called counselor, they have a cookie cutter kind of direction that they go in."

Heard several weeks ago about bank scam
My husband received email the other day from Bank of America asking him to update his files, which of course includes social and the like. We had heard and funny because he does not even have an account there. I also received a call from a person who said she represented BOA wanting to know how I was enjoying my acct. Told them working, no time to talk.
Contact
the attorney general in your area. You should not be responsible for these charges. You are a victim - not the bad guy. Find a new phone company if this one will not work with you to resolve this. Good luck!
I would contact them...
and talk it over. Banks and finance companies will say that the worst thing to do (in most cases) is file bankrupcy right away without talking it over with them first because they do want thier money. The majority of places will try to work with you. Been in those shoes. I consolidated mine, took me a little longer to pay it off but it was easier to pay 1 amount than all 3 and not cringe each time the phone rang. Had one card that said. Okay pay this amount for 3 months with no late fees (virtually nothing)and then pick up from there. I will live to regret that I'm sure but it helped me out at the time. Sometimes you can call and ask to skip a payment. They tack it on the end and charge you but if it helps it helps. You will sometimes find that if you ask a loan company for a "consolidation loan" they will say they don't do those. Instead give the amount for payoff of total bills or darn near it and try to go from there. I think the best thing is to explain your situation to them and ask for options or ideas or at least try to.
Maybe you should contact your vet
and ask if anything unusual happened (not that they would tell you a horror story if it did), but maybe something small happened to trigger it that they would recall.

Aside from that they might have come across this type of thing and know of some ways to sooth the puppy.

Your son doesn't have anything on him that a dog might smell and freak out about, does he?

This will sound corny, but maybe your son could think of something really sad and lie on the floor crying. Maybe the puppy would see his vulnerablility and empathize with him and lose fear.

Did you talk to a bank or mortgage company and see if you can get pre-approved? Seems
s
Talk to a local bank or credit union.
That is a HUGE downpayment and that will more than likely offset any bad juju as far as credit rating.  You may be pleasantly surprised...we were and we also had crappy credit but because of the large downpayment, that worked in our favor and were able to get an incredible rate with a local bank.  Above anything else, avoid those pieces of crap you see advertised on TV and on the computer.  Nothing but predators that should be smacked upside their heads with a 2x4.
Change your bank account on file with Vonage Right NOW!
nm
Probably not but maybe they'd contact them to be on the show! ; )

I would say either try a contact person where the
contact may be someone in the Social Services for your state.  Maybe even the Division of Child Welfare.  I would look in the phonebook under government agencies.  I bet a social worker may be able to help or guide you in the right direction.  I knew someone who had a child with cerebral palsy that took the insurance offered from the employer, but was able to get Medicaid for the child as a supplement for things the primary did not cover.  I am not sure if this is state-by-state though.  Hope this helps.  Good luck to you and your daughter as her children do need health insurance.
Maybe you should contact the company...
nm
I would contact you doctor.
.
Definitely contact your doctor sm

You didn't mention where on your back the mole was, but particularly if it was on your upper back near your neck,  I would be concerned about the swollen and tender lymph nodes.

Regardless, you need to talk to your doctor. The lymph nodes could even be a completely separate issue, but it is definitely a sign that there is a problem.

Good luck!

it's better for us not to have contact with people like that
stay away from her, don't comment much to family members about it, eventually they'll get used to the way things are now.
Contact your local ACO....

Call your local animal control officer, or if you don't know the contact info for them, the police should.  It's their job to calmly address the situation.  It's not fair to you to listen to this poor animal all day long.  I would also mention that you fear for not only the animals safety, but also your own.  I'm sure it is on record anyway from the prior incident but wouldn't hurt to bring it up again.  I would definitely not approach the people one-on-one, especially given their past behavior.

I'm sorry you're going through this.

I would contact a hospice...
My grandmother just passed away, and for her last week she was at a local hospice.  They were so wonderful and caring there and really helped us all deal with her dying.  Even if your mom doesn't go to hospice care (which I highly recommend when she is very close), I would call a hospice and ask them for recommendations for grief counseling.  I can't say enough about how wonderful they were, and they really helped my mother deal with the loss of her mother.  They also provided morphine so we could rest assured she was not in pain once she wasn't able to communicate any longer.  I am sorry that you are losing your mother.  I am sure it is difficult at any age.
I would contact everyone on the IEP team (sm)
and let them know you are not being informed as you should be. Also, if they cannot handle it at your school, then he could be transferred to another school (at his current school's expense; they would also have to provide transporation). You do have a lot of rights here, and this is federally mandated, not state. Good luck.
Maybe try limiting contact to

just phone calls.  That will let her know that you are cooling off the visitation with her but not make you look ungrateful.  If she brings up never seeing the children, I would let her know politely that you thought she didn't care to have them visit since they always seem to "act up" at her house.  If DH wants to see her DH, then let him visit him alone.  Is there a close neighbor or friend that could keep your girls while you visit your aunt once in a while?  I take it she lives nearby if your boss has contact with her.  If she asks why you didn't bring the children, again - say that you thought it would be better for her if you didn't bring them anymore since their behavior doesn't meet her standards.  She should get the hint pretty quickly.

I definitely agree with you that she should not be pushing her discipline methods on you.  You are the parent and only you and DH should have any say in how you choose to discipline your children and whether or not they even need it.  I will say from experience that the previous generation seems to think we don't know how to handle our kids.  I think a lot of that has to do with the state this country is in, but I don't believe it falls directly on our shoulders.  Afterall, our kids weren't even born when things started to go downhill.  Maybe it's all the hairbrushes and flyswatters that are causing some of these problems.

It is already from a safe contact
I can open all mail, but where pics should be (and were before hotmail changed the look) are just boxes. It isn't just from one contact, but from all my contacts that I used to receive pics from. Now what? I sent an email to the contact site, but they have not answered me yet.
Contact Ebay again.
It may just be delayed shipping with all the holiday rush. I haven't shipped anything this year but in the past the post office has told me they don't guarantee the same as normal.
sort of still keep in contact, but
They didn't go to HS with me. One I've known since probably 1978 when I was 8 and she was 6 and we were visiting here on vacation, then my family moved here and she and I have been BF since 1985...only keep in touch by email and occasional phone calls.

My other one I've known since 1995 and we're in touch by email too.

Our lives are just too complicated and too far apart by distance to really see eachother, but we can catch up instantly with eachother even if it has been a while
