learn to brown nose, back bite and gossip. Learn to budget $150 pair of shoes on $10.75 an hour.   Sorry, but the office etiquette I learned in school and in job orientation was actually different then what I learned on the job.   


Another thing I would have to learn is when a doc passes you in the hall, be sure to flirt and be extra extra charming to the doctor.  Then when you get to the office, be sure and tell everyone you spoke to him and how nice he was to you and exaggerate any compliments he made.  Also, tell about all the mistakes he makes during his dictation, how stupid he is and how smart you are for catching it.   Make sure the supervisor hears this...especially on the how smart you are part.


 


Maybe it is different elsewhere but this is sure what it was like for me when I worked in-house.
