and then go thru and decide if there are items that you think you might actually wear at some point or something that will give you good memories when you see it, then donate the rest to somewhere like hospice, goodwill, etc. I have had to clean out closets for loved ones such as my sister, mom, and dad who have died, and it's really hard to just throw their stuff away. Maybe he thinks that the clothes will help you to remember her..I don't think he'd be offended if he didn't see you wearing them. He might have found it much easier to give them to you, her sister, then to give them to strangers.

I'm really sorry about your loss. My sister died almost 19 years ago and I still miss her terribly.
