I think maybe the tape could be removed, but why the other things? sm

I like Halloween, too. I love, love, love the orange lights, etc. My friend has her inside and outside decorated like you would not believe. She has a big party every year, and for the kids on Trick or Treat night (hundreds come, literally) She even has the tombstones on the bank and her friend operates the steam machine!  Just as the kids approach the porch the mist comes up over the stones!   YIKES!   I go over to hand out candy. It is a total riot and they love it! Their parents take pictures!  She has funny stuff, too. It is just bright and things making noise, etc. They just love it.

For the party she even makes a meatloaf to look like a foot!  The tomator sauce is . . oh well, you get the picture.

Buy duct-tape at hardware store. Tape baby to wall
;)
My son also used duct tape
on his plantar warts on his feet. It worked great. His tape stayed on fine except when he took a shower, so we just took it off and then put back on. Took a few weeks but it was less painful than freezing. Found an article on Google when I typed in plantar warts. Duct tape-HMO on a roll.
Try a little duct tape.
If it could hold my old car together, it should work on a chair. Good luck! :-)
Video tape him.........I will keep saying it - sm
I said it before, a picture is worth a thousand words. You video tape him on one of his rampages and the Sheriff will definitely believe you and get off his fat butt and arrest him. Obviously try to do this w/o him knowing you are doing it....candid camera style.
Duct Tape is the ticket......
and leave it on for days..........do not remove it daily
Duct tape all the way baby!
My 7-year-old had three warts on each of her heels, which we tried OTC products for and they only seemed worse.  They started to really bother her so I Googled it and came across duct tape.  Then I found one that said to soak a cotton ball (or piece of one the size that you will need) in apple cider vinegar and apply to affected area.  Then duct tape over this.  We changed this 1-2 x per day due to the area that was affected.  I learned after the first one that you really need to squeeze out the majority of the vinegar, but it still gets the acid from it.  She has been wart-free for over 8 months.  If they ever come back again I will use this method again.... worked great!
That's great. I also use relaxation tape before bed
xx
I got a relaxation tape on Amazon.com. SM
They have several listed. It is actually hypnosis. You listen before going to sleep. It relaxes you to fall asleep and the positive things it says during the tape help during the day.

I know this sounds like a bunch of BS, but it really works and I am very hyper. Past my PMS years, but still hyper.
They caught the guy from the sex tape!! He admitted who he was!!!

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20071016/ap_on_re_us/sex_tape_suspect

The guy who raped the little 3 year old girl was caught - he got pulled over for something else, confessed who he was and said he was tired of running!!

Duct tape, the cure-all for everything.

Hey, I want my post removed
because it sounds dirty, LOL.
Anyone else ever had one ovary removed?
I did and I feel much better and feel like my hormones are not bothering me like they were.  I was feeling perimenopausal and feel much more clear now. I had chronic cysts and I think they were whacking my hormones up.   Just curious if this is common?
Ovary Removed
I had one ovary removed in September due to a cyst. I was told that after you remove one ovary, sometimes the other one quits working. That is what happened to me. I have been on hormone replacement since last month and I feel so much better. The lack of hormones was causing me to have lots of migraines.
Had my right ovary removed
I had an ectopic pregnancy and had one ovary removed at 48 years old (I'd say pretty close to menopausal age). they said during the surgery they found a huge amount of scar tissue they had to remove and say that could be a reason why I've never gotten pregnant, so they removed all that too. They said they were unsure as to why all the scar tissue because I've never had surgery before and periods were normal, etc. I didn't and don't feel any different than before the removal. IMO I don't think it is having the ovary removed that makes a difference but not having the chronic cysts anymore as to why you feel differnt. My doctor and his partner never told me I'd have hormonal changes, or that the other would quit working or anything different. They did tell me that my chances of getting pregnant are slim to none (which is fine by me cos I don't want any kids - especially at this age). He did tell me that if by chance I do get pregnant I will most likely end up with another ectopic. Oh joy, joy. On another note I just got the best Xmas present yesterday - my period. HA HA HA.

Anyway...I did have an ovary removed and it did nothing to affect my hormones, moods, etc.
They were removed because they became INFECTED
There is NOTHING wrong with a healthy infant or adult foreskin. It does not need to be removed.

& you can thank your lucky stars that when your infected organs were removed, they used anesthesia.
Not lonely! Consider it a retreat! Get some books on tape from

Little girl on horrific tape has been found
they are just reporting they found the little girl on that tape they've been showing on the news.  They're still looking for that demon of a man.
Definitely not a good thing to use that tape, in my opinion. But! sm
You can do a lot of other fun things! I hung a few witches, a scarecrow, a black cat, pumpkins on the brick outside and will go and get hay, etc. in a few days to decorate with.
Our neighbors used the yellow caution tape
and I thought it was a very clever idea. Their house looks great. Myabe depending on the area you live in. We are in a new housing development and they are at the end of a cul-de-sac.
tried duct tape, no go, broke immediately, thanks though, NM

PS: Yes, I kept the ovaries. But the cervix was removed, - (sm)
which was a good thing, because on routine exam in preparation for the surgery, they found precancerous changes in the cervix. So good riddance to that, too.
Some were removed last night and again this morning
and I saw 1 last night late you probably would not wish to see where BA wished all our jobs to India.
I've had a couple removed
It was well worth it. I had a huge hole in my leg from the last one but it is finally filling back in.
betcha COMET would have removed it...LOL
Comet powder cleanser would probably have removed it, rubbing alcohol, and probably peroxide....
Yeah. My dad had one lung removed because of
and my sister said that when he was in his hospital room, my mom (who always smokes) and my aunt (who rarely smoked... ever...) were puffing away, in his room!
Oh, I really think you should go to a derm for that, besides having them removed safely....sm
if any look suspicious you would have the opportunity to have them biopsied for your future health. Just want you to be careful!!!
How about a super glue/duct tape combo?
I can't tell what material the broken part is though.
True Anon, but Christ is being removed out of everything and that isn't right either.

when I removed IE 7 it automatically reverted back to IE 6...sm
everything is back to normal now.  Thanks
Mine removed surprisingly easy . . .
I was told to hold a hairdryer and get it hot and it would come off easily, but I didn't even need the dryer. Most of it came off in one sheet.
kitchen confidential...the book is on tape/maybe CD by now read by the author...sm

Kitchen Confidential (2000) is Chef Anthony Bourdain's personal and professional memoir of 25 years in the kitchens of New York. The book's full title is Kitchen Confidential: Adventures in the Culinary Underbelly, but Bourdain, who studied at Vassar College before graduating from the Culinary Institute of America, with knife-sharp prose cuts through the underbelly and straight into the entrails of New York's culinary world.

Beginning with a boyhood introduction to his first raw oyster, a "glistening, vaguely sexual-looking object, still dripping and nearly alive,' and navigating through soaring heights and devastating lows of a career simultaneously fueled and marred by drugs and alcohol, Bourdain's constant companions, this memoir not only tracks the coming of age of a now-celebrity chef with his own Food Channel series, but it maps the restaurants and kitchens that came and went during Bourdain's formative cooking years.

Though he is currently a highly-regarded executive chef at Brasserie Les Halles, Bourdain's early years were spent ricocheting from one failure to another, particularly during the period he refers to as "the wilderness years."

It is one of the central ironies of my career that as soon as I got off heroin things started getting really bad. High on dope I was, prior to Gino's, at least a chef - well paid, much liked by crew and floor and owners alike. Stabilized on methadone, I became nearly unemployable by polite society - a shiftless, untrustworthy, coke-sniffer, sneak-thief, and corner-cutting hack, toiling in obscurity in the culinary backwaters. I worked mostly as a cook, moving from place to place, often working under an alias.

Despite a total immersion approach to drugs and debauchery, Bourdain maintains his love of food and a passion for his work throughout. He is a purist with an ironclad work ethic, an ironically common badge of the addict. Bourdain's prose is peppered with profanity and he frequently refers to his customers as "rubes" and those who exist outside the restaurant industry, "civilians." His approach to writing is the same as his approach to food: clear, concise, and lacking in ephemeral B.S. He is, in short, a pleasure to read - or to listen to, as in this case.

As an audio book, Kitchen Confidential soars, because who better to deliver Anthony Bourdain's biting assessment of the restaurant industry than Bourdain himself? The sardonic tone emanates perfectly from the author's own voice. With oaudio books often not the case, but Bourdain proves equally capable behind the microphone as he is behind the laptop, lap tope chef's counter.

Pick up a copy of this book. If you spend any amount of time in New York City restaurants, Kitchen Confidential is a must-read. If you've spent any time working in the culinary arts, Kitchen Confidential is a must-read. For anyone else, Kitchen Confidential will be one of the fastest and sharpest works of memoir that you'll ever have the pleasure of digesting.

I've heard good things and about things about taking prednisone. My mom was on it for SM
for awhile and it made her look so swollen.  I sympathize with you.

I have to have a front tooth removed because it cant be fixed anymore and has had all it can have
done to it.  It was damaged when I was young along with the one beside it.  Has anyone had a front tooth removed and instead of an implant had a partial or something put in for 1 tooth.  What do you recommend other than an implant.  I have lost a lot of bone with this tooth so it would be a very long process for an implant.  This tooth has cost me a fortune so far.
Did anyone ever have a tooth removed after it was root canaled etc. and very brittle. I am
concerned about it breaking off in pieces being so brittle from all the work done on it and now is infected again.  Brother, always something.  It is a front tooth no less.
Gotta love duct tape! America's fixer upper, LOL!

I did have one surgically removed from my wrist by a hand surgeon years ago.

He did a real good job and has never recurred.  He showed it to me when he took it out and it basically just looked like a little balloon with a long skinny taiI.  I had it done on a Friday and I believe by Monday I was back at work again and in a week or so had the stitches removed.  The incision is not even a 1/2-inch long.  I took pain pills for the day of surgery and probably the next day and that was it.   Mine wasn't that large and was given the choice of leaving it alone or have it excised.  I thought that I might as well take care of the problem when it was minor before it got much larger.

Yes I had a lipoma removed from my thigh and it came back because they didnt get all the roots out.
I still have it and dont plan on bothering this time.  It might be the size of 2 grapes or something.
I have to have front tooth removed after multiple apicos on it and it just keeps reinfecting. The
tooth next to it is also not the best having had surgeries so bridging is not an option.  These teeth were broken when I was a kid.  Any suggestions other than an implant for the space.  This is quite upsetting as I have spent a fortune on these 2 front teeth.
Anyone ever have skin tags removed? Did they come back? Mine are making me crazy!! nm

Things you're afraid of vs. things you're not
I didn't used to be afraid of spiders, but I seem to have developed a fear of those little beasties. I also can't stand boats, water deeper than my hot tub and bridges. I'm also fairly convinced that UFOs, if not aliens (well, isn't anything driving those things?) are real, so that kinda scares me, yet it is strangely fascinating. I'm also afraid of El Chupacabra, though I'm very certain that's not real. It's one of those "hahahahaha" fears.

Things other people fear that I do not include snakes (awwww, they so cute! they look like they're smiling!), rats, gangbangers (except Mara Salvatrucha, move them up to my "scary" list), poverty, death, traveling at high rates of speed with almost anyone sober, bats (CUTE!!!!!), homeless people, Sasquatch, most of my male friends, bears, mountain lions.

Fear is such an odd thing, don't you think? So much of it is relative to our own experiences in life, yet at the same time some of them are downright irrational.

So, how 'bout you? What will send  you running screaming in the other direction, and what things can you take care of when someone else goes running screaming in the other direction?

Oh, just a few things : )
http://www.wakeupwalmart.com/facts/
my take on things

I went through a similar situation with my (now ex-) husband's family during the ten years we were married.

Your husband is NOT the problem, his parents are. You said that your husband tried (albeit unsuccessfully) to get along with his father. So, it seems to me that he *DID* try as best as he could. But, sometimes, no matter how hard you try, things don't work out. So you do what the song says, "You have to know when to hold up; know when to fold up ..."

Now, it seems to me that his parents are treating your children like "holiday turkeys," ... bring them to be brought to the table once or twice a year, but ignore them the rest of the year. Yes, that's pretty much what it sounds like, and my heart goes out to your children 'cause I know the pain they are suffering ... because of their grandparents.

I also suspect that the ONLY reason your husband's parents went to the event was to "stick it" to your husband, and not because of the grandchildren. When you love someone and are truly proud of them, you do everything you can to be part of their life.

The ONLY people who matter in all of this are your immediate family ... You, your husband, and your children. Do not let his parents tear you all apart. I think you all need to get into therapy (you, your husband, and the children), so you can work through this problem AS A FAMILY UNIT, 'cause you're the only family that truly matters. You're all in pain and all of your feelings need to be counted, by each other.

Take it from someone who lived it.

Try these things...
Have your husband do special things with that kitty such as giving him treats, having a catnip party, playing with interactive toys, talking gently, getting down on the floor with him at his level...Does your hubby have a big booming voice or thud through the house? One of my cats took a LONG time to love my husband because my husband tends to talk loudly and make more noise than I do. Fourteen years later, that cat still perfers me over hubby and still likes the house quiet, but there has been LOTS of improvement over the years. Be patient. All kitties, even when raised together, can have totally different purrsonalities! Good luck to you. :-)
Been there and things will get better.

Your writing my store.  I too went to court over 20 times due to custody battle with a dud.  After 4 years of being dragged in and out of court, I ended up the what I had before I started $100 a week.  I did get sole custody of my son though.  I spent probably about $20,000 on lawyers (4 of them).   I wrote a credit check for $5000 to hold is escrow because I had to sell my house and was planning on paying it after the sale of my house.  Well, the lawyer cashed my check and ended up in jail after he ripped off about $75,000 from clients.  I was out $5000.

I also had a warrant out for my arrest becuse my ex took a notice I had to go to court out of my mail box.  Being that he was good friends with the neighbors from h&#%, I did get arrested and put in jail for about 4 hours which cost me another $250 for the bail.

Keep your head up.  It will get better.  I haven't gone to court since 8/05 because both judges, the one in family court and the one in municipal court both told my ex to leave me alone.    Everytime I get the mail I'm expecting to get a notice to go to court.   Believe it or not, it wasn't so bad being in jail, a cell to myself, and away from the h$&% he put me through.

So here I am, had to sell my house, broke as anything, living in a condo, but my kid is all mine. The ex moved 2 minutes away from me "to keep an eye on me" but what goes around comes around and I'm just waiting for the day he gets what he deserves.  My son refuses to go to his house because his girlfriend also took me to court a few times.  He is supposed to pick him up on Saturday morning and bring him home Sunday night every weekend.  So guess who has to give the kid money for the weekend - me.   That comes out of the $100 a week along with lunch money, clothing, food, etc.   I literally ended up having a nervous breakdown, 6 days in the looney bin.

Keep your head up, I know exactly what you're going through and somehow it does get better.  ');>

Yes, know all the things that cause
and mine is thyroid related and menopausal so have those things linked with that. I am trying- maybe just have not "scrubbed" my head hard enough. Nerves not a problem here but well aware of lots of causes, probably been working on it longer than most.
odd cat things
my cat likes to eat toilet paper, either off the roll or from your hand. She also wags her tail constantly like a dog...with no dog in the house. She also will only eat 1 brand of food and no treats or tuna; she will eat french fries though
could be so many things
go to a doctor. but where I live, the first thing I think is Lyme disease.
Thanks everyone. Gives me some things to think about

Hayseed said, "No more breads, pastas, rice, or taters....all the things we really loved." That could be part of my problem. We've been eating a lot of pasta, rice and taters because hubby can't have dark greens, which includes salads, green beans, etc. because of gout and on Coumadin for AVR.  Don't know what else to make anymore.

We gave up coffee, now, too, because both of us were having stomach problems with it. Two cups a day was our limit. He can survive with it, I can't seem to do that. LOL

Dinosaur said, " I had undiagnosed diabetes and would just "poop" out when my blood sugar was too low (or even too high!)."  Diabetes runs in my family and I've been watching my counts for the past 10 years. So far, so good. I don't eat sugary stuff like pies, cakes, candy, soda. Don't like sweets that much.

I was checked for Lyme disease a couple years ago because I had 2 tick bites. That was negative.

The only allergy I have is my home. Ever since we moved to this house, I've had the flu, colds, runny nose, sneezing, coughing, etc.

Guess I'll have to make an appointment with a doctor and try to find out. Usually I'm one of those people who has something wrong that no one can figure it out. When I was 40, I had mono (rare for my age group) and was told I was "borderline Epstein-Barr and Guillame-Barre [sic]."

I was also checked for B12 deficiency (borderline), Anemia (borderline), rheumatoid arthritis, etc. You name it, I had the test over a 2 year period. The answer? Nada. I'm beginning to think all these "borderline" tests are coming back to bite me.

Thanks for your help. I think I will make an appointment to get checked out again.
