I'd say she has had enough punishments - sm
The school punished here, then you punished her by taking away her weekend treat and not allowing her to have the book. I think that is sufficient. She probably already had to apologize for disrupting the class, even if she did not I think any more would be overkill for a minor infraction. Give her a chance. Also I would not describe her behavior as acting ugly, acting up maybe, but not ugly unless she was hitting other kids or making fun of other kids. She is just a normal little girl who talked when she was not supposed to, all kids do it sometimes. Don't make a federal case about it, but do let her know she is in school to listen to the teacher and learn, and not to talk when it is not playtime.
One of the worst punishments I remember
when we bickered as kids: We had to kiss each other. How about for every time he shows violence, kicks or hits or punches or slaps, he has to do something for that sibling he has assaulted? Make their bed, fix their lunch, do their chores, be their butler type thing. For the rest of the day.
Look below, in capital letters and...
it did not take me a fraction of a second to figure out who * he * was! C'mon now.
So tacky with capital T
I would be so offended to get an invite like this, would not care where it came from. I probably would not go and if I did, hey $$$ would to me equal 3 but I don’t even think I would show up. I got invite before from relative, had not seen nor talked with them in years, invite to wedding, threw in garbage.
You will be taxed on capital gains
nm
capital gains = probably big bucks.

I'm from the capital of scrapple, Philadelphia.
I've also never hard of vinegar on scrapple. Maple syrup seems to be popular the further west you go. I definitely don't like that. I see a lot of people using ketchup, but I consider ketchup to be a waste of good tomatoes. I hate the stuff on anything. When I was a kid, whenever we had scrapple for breakfast, we'd also have big, thick slices of tomato on the plate, too. I loved that. It has to be really fresh, really ripe and tasty garden tomato. Since I haven't had a garden for years and years, I rarely have the tomato with scrapple anymore.
We paid capital gains on a rental house sm
that we sold about 8 years ago. It was approximately 23% (I think-it may have been about 20%). From the way I understood it, capital gains was based on our adjusted gross income and you pay the taxes on the profits not the whole amount. When we got paid for the house, I kept back 30% and it covered the fed and state taxes. We wound up paying about 5,000.00 between the two. Hope this helps. I'm not an accountant either, just know from experience. The IRS website has really good information there.
Pay Rate
Hi. I'm interested in finding some doctors in my area to do work for extra income at home. I have 9 1/2 years of experience and work at home for a big national. I have no idea what the going rate would be or even the basis on which to charge (line, page, ???). I live in a rural area so it would probably be low-average. I appreciate any advice anybody could give me on this subject. Thanks.
I think that is more than most - we used to be about that rate (sm)
til things got really bad in our marriage.
Rate MDs
Hey I had posted awhile back regarding my frustrations finding a decent doctor. I came across an article talking about rating doctors on the Internet and it listed the RateMDs.com website. Of course, the AMA and other doctors are all in a huff about patients, God forbid, rating them online. Anyways, I went to RateMDs.com and found a doctor I had been to had already received a poor rating! Hehe I added to it. But I also used it to help me choose a new PCP who had an excellent rating. The receptionist also told me that they have new patients on Thursday and allot more time so they can go over their medical history and issues! Wow I thought, that's awesome. We'll see how it goes. But if any of you have a doctor you hate, like or need to find a new one, go check it out!
LOL. I suppose I should have
But, thanks for the information. Much appreciated
No, but I suppose
they'll bring them in on Z-visas or whichever they are using these days to bring in workers from overseas!
I suppose anything is possible,
but shouldn't you have your thyroid checked just in case?
well, i suppose
to be an attempt to "compare".... I would just like to be able to tell my husband... be happy with what ya got! It could be a whole lot worse. He's the one complaining. lol. I agree it is not the quantity but the quality.
Wow! $700 is a good rate to go up there.
I can drive to NY and would spend more than $700 in a week. First, ask exactly what is included in the fee and ask the teacher to give you a better answer on the fundraising issue. If no fundraisers are being done, maybe you can offer to run a couple.
I think your plan is a good one. I usually come up with about a third of the cost of my kid's activities. (Only have the 16 yo left at home now.) The rest they earn by working or through fundraisers.
She'll have a great time in NYC!
We cant buy groceries on a cpl pay rate, so I'm trying to come up with one too.
Not really.
They are getting an hourly rate - just $2 is what I tip.
Yes, thanks for the info. At that rate,
we would have to clean ours every month. Taking a shower now is like getting rained on by rocks. We go through a hot water tank every 5 years. Doggonit! Guess I have to wait until we can get either a new well or a water softening system first. <sigh>
and I suppose she thinks she is...
*the moral compass*??? Whatever...they're both a joke!
And I also heard a while back that Trump probably doesn't have any more *disposable cash* as the rest of us...his personal bank balance is average, just like ours! All his money is in property, real estate, *young wives* etc...
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!
How about *she was suppose to*, when it should be supposed to : )

Oh, I would suppose they would not be concerned but
if they had a touch of this (if this is what is going on with me) the pain is almost unbearable. I did take 1000 mg of ibuprofen yesterday along with Hydrocodone, nothing helped, in agony really. I am thinking possibly my fibromyalgia has converted over to this now. I could not get in to see my physician today- know if this is what is going on not life threatening- only can cause so much horrific pain hard to make it through a day. I hear sitting exacerbates- great for a transcriptionist, huh?
I can't say that's what dogs are suppose to do......
but they do tend to pack up when rambling around. We awoke about dawn one morning with a horrible sound and realized it was several dogs on a cat. We could tell the cat had a tail and our cats are bobtails, with the exception of our very old guy. We panicked and ran outside, thinking he may have gotten out the night before, even though he seldom ever goes out anymore. The dogs took off running and that poor cat was lucky to be alive. He was so disoriented and was in shock. I realized it was the neighbor's cat and called them. Unbelievably, the vet said he seemed okay and he is back out sitting in the driveway again. But people who let their dogs out at night to ramble so animal control can't get to them really ticks me off. Dogs, even nice ones, can get very mean when running in a pack.
under rock I suppose...
sorry, just never heard that one before...pardon moi!
Do you suppose the problem could
be your detergent and/or fabric softener? You might think if it were the detergent, he would have a rash all over, but that's not necessariliy so. For example, I am allergic to tocopheryl acetate (vitamin E) on my left hand only, where I will get a red, itchy rash. Isn't that crazy? It took me years to figure it out. I can only use Curel original formula hand lotion. Another thing you might think about is the body soap he is using. Again, he could be having a reaction in only one area. Good luck.
I suppose there are extremes..... sm
in anything. I have seen gays marching for gay rights, gays influencing young children through "who they are" and other behaviors that I consider pushing "who they are" on others.
I'm not saying that Christians don't march for Christian beliefs, etc., but it just seems strange to me that when Christians ask that they be allowed to express their rights, all of a sudden we are shoving our religion down someone else's throat.
If a group of Christians wanted to open a public school system funded with taxpayers' money to segregate their children from others who make fun of them for being Christians, you can bet that there would be an outcry like never heard before. Yet, the gay community seems to think they have this right. Where is the equality in that?
BTW... Christians' homes AND churches are burned, we are sometimes assaulted for our beliefs, our children are threatened and legislation does discriminate against us, just the same as anyone else.
Suppose most of our families came from there

Hang on, though. The rate could have changed...sm
If any payments were late (or missed), the rate could have gone up astronomically for the OP. They may well have gone up and up. It's probably in the fine print of the card agreement that that will happen automatically with late payments.
And I have heard financial experts say that it's not a good idea to call and cancel a card if you still have a balance on the card, because then you have no way to negotiate with them. Though it doesn't sound like any negotiating was able to happen in this case, you're supposed to keep asking for the person's supervisor (and their supervisor, if necessay), and be persistent, until you get to talk to someone who can help you with lowering the rate and maybe waiving some of the fees.
Then I would apply for another card with a lower rate (and make darn sure you don't make any payments late or miss any payments!) and transfer that WA MU balance over (and ask if they can wave the transfer fee when you apply for the new card).
BTW, I recently applied for a credit card with WA MU because the offer was for 0% interest for 15 months on balance transfers, and the person was definitely in India. Every time I interruped him to ask him a question, it was like he then had to start over reading his "script" but I could understand him.
I asked if he could wave the balance transfer fee, and he said he was unable to do that. I didn't persist or ask to speak to his supervisor, but I should have. According to the experts, the time to negotiate is before they have your business. After they have you as a customer, they aren't so interested!
My property tax rate stays low
because there are so many mansions in my town. There is a house on the market right now for $23 million, plus lots of others in the 5-10 million dollar range. What is really sickening is that these are second or even third homes for some people. But they are paying such high taxes, it really takes the burden off us little guys who live way, way, way on the other side of the tracks.
Would you also want your income taxed at the 40% rate?
At one time England did that. The friends we had in Cananda said they were taxed to death on their income, but they were pretty pleased with their healthcare. There is no easy solution.
I got a fixed-rate mortage through
They kept my note through the life of the loan and didn't parcel it off to some other lender. I also had a decent down payment saved up which helped a lot.
I get a bit of real-estate sticker shock too when I see what friends and family have paid for their homes in other parts of the country.
I purchased my home for $86,000. The original asking price was substantially higher, but it sat on the market for quite a while and they had lowered the asking a few times. I think they were just glad to finally get it sold. I have 1600 sq. ft, 3 bedrooms, 1-1/2 baths, dining room, living room, and partial basement. It was built in the mid 70s, so the rooms are not too small like some of the older homes. But it is not as spacious as the open floor designs that are popular today.
Just closed on 4.375 interest rate! nm
It is a MEDICAL procedure. I suppose
spaying is mutilation to you too, right? I don't know if vets tell people....but they remove their ovaries for that. The horror!
If you don't want it done to your cat, don't do it, but leave others alone that need/want to have this done!
I am the wife up above. How in the world do you suppose one sm
like me survive with 3 children on 18,000 a year transcribing? Do you know how much it is to rent nowadays? Even though we own? He makes almost 5 times as much as me and yes, the paychecks are great, but I am living proof that money can't buy happiness in a marriage.
But I wouldn't even be able to put food on my kids' plate on my income.
All of you women who say to leave how do you expect us to live if we leave? I don't get it. I don't understand? I have NO family that can help me. None. I don't see it being possible.
Do you suppose your body ever becomes immune
to raw eggs? LOL. My brother and I constantly did this as children and lickily never got side. I now have to fight my children now from doing this becuase now I know better but they sometimes still sneak and get by with it. Once again no one has ever gotten sick but I know there is always a first time for everything. Just so hard to walk away from cake beaters.
Joanie, you seriously need help. You are as cruel as it gets. I suppose sm
you weren't shown much love growing up because you obviously don't know how to give it. Why would you say something so horrible to this poor mom? You just shouldn't even post period. I WAS in a good mood until I read your post. Thanks for putting me in a bad mood. Do you do that to everyone you know??
Do you suppose the cat is dead and stuffed? nm
nm
You've got to be kidding. I suppose you think
Adam's great though... He's a one hit wonder if I ever saw one because every song sounds exactly alike. Yawn.
parents are suppose to be there for their kids, but he needs to get his s**t together
What kind of man lives on mommy? I am sure you don't want your son on this path.... I feel bad for you too! People go into the reserves so they can also have another job or go to college.... this sounds like a case for Dr. Phil... in fact I have seen this on there and he told the mothers to give them an ultimatum of either help out or GET OUT!!!
Are they adults? No. R-rate means under 17 not allowed. sm
Easy answer.
I know they told me 50 and I collect now at the same rate I collected
after his death when the children were little. However, I was 49 when the youngest turned 16, so I had to wait 1 year to re-collect. The laws may have changed since her situation, but I know this is true for me and I have no other extenuating (?) circumstances.
Check out HGTV.com Rate My Space (sm)
Regular people redoing their homes upload pics and others comment on them. It's very fun to see all the rooms, and you can get some very good ideas for designing and decorating your own space.
Flate Rate Priority Mail
Yes, thanks for posting this! I did not realize that domestic rates apply (8.95) when shipping to FPO and APO. Awesome!
Don't Do IT!! Are we related? I swear
my husband and I have the same situation - except his sister is in her 40s. If they are living with him, they can take care of him. Otherwise...if they are not able to care for him, what example are they going to be for your child? What environment for you all to live in? The father made his choice, and now, sadly, he can live with it.
not telemarketer related, but someone had
Our exchange was 664 and Bambi's was 663. Every Saturday and Sunday mornings I would get phone calls from guys she had given out her number to the night before at bars. For months I would try to give them the right number, but kept getting the same phone calls. I realized she was giving MY number to the losers she didn't want to hear from.
That was when I changed my tactics. I started asking who was calling and writing down the guy names. After I got a collection of names and a guy called, I pretended to call out Bambi's name and say, "Joe is on the phone!" then tell "Joe" she was still in bed with "Frank" and would have to call him later.
About 2 months later I got a nasty call from Bambi that left me LMAO and then there were no more calls from anyone :) Karma is wonderful!
Yes but that post is more MT related. nm
x
It is probably food related.
Have you switched foods lately? Most gas is food related in dogs and cats. High quality can still give the toots.
Need advice. Not MT related
I am giving my daughter a luau for her 6th grade graduation party. This is being held at my aunt's pool on her property. I would like to put a "release form" in with the invitations stating that we (my aunt and I) will not be held liable for any accidents, etc. How would you go about wording this? Thanks for any advice.
Safety first and she is related to you
You have to put fears of rejection and people's reactions aside and put the safety of the child first. I would definitely want to know!!! On the other hand, I see people who live near me who don't watch their kids. I saw girls going in the woods every day at age 13 and smoking and drinking but the mothers of these kids probably actually know about it or don't care. If you think your sister would care, you better hurry up!!! Just tell her you don't know if it's true but you heard something disturbing and you think it's a safety issue otherwise you would mind your own business. If the kid gets hurt will you be sorry you minded your own business. Somebody better tell me if anything like that is going on . I'd be thanking you. But I do watch my teens.
I agree, it is related (nm)
x
Maybe we're related then,
because that's exactly what my sister is doing. I start googling family names and find pages of stuff, and the author's name is right there - my sister. I knew she was doing it, but it is startling to find it all on the internet. She focuses on the past more than the present. We especially find people's occupations in the olden days interesting.
