eyebrows
I'm 48 and never pluck my eyebrows anymore - in fact I wish I had more eyebrows! I used to pluck and shape them when I was younger and now I wish I hadn't. They seem to fade away with each passing year so I would say unless you have a unibrow which isn't particularly attractive, leave them alone.
Mama took my eyebrows.
Still laughing over that line and the look on her face.
Not to be catty, but whoa did you see the eyebrows? -sm
talk about bad, must be those tatooed eyebrows I've heard about, or else really bad clown makeup.
2 eyebrows, 2 eyes, nose, lips, and a lot of wrinkles
I would keep same color. At least in same color family.

Charges
Phone/internet with Verizon - $51 total/month
Dish Network I think is around $60/month
paypal charges
Is it to late for you to call the company and inform them what has happened to you and ask them to cut you a paper check and then have it cashed somewhere else for a small fee?
why did they opt to press charges?

The dentist we go to charges
We have insurance. Have you asked your primary care doctor if there is a clinic or something like that to take care of your husband's dental care? It's worth a shot. I had heard something about dentists in training offering cleaning and such for a much cheaper rate. I think the obstacle would be if they found a cavity or whatever. Good luck to you! By the way, we are on the East Coast, so not sure if prices vary by region or not.
Sure, like he'd press charges for assault
Doubt it very seriously. Besides, it'd be worth a night in jail to slug a slimeball like that...
The 100K came way after the drug charges
The arrest came say 15 or 20 years before the 100K and the way they spend their money that $100K probably not around too long.
How much do you pay for a haircut? SM
I live in a fairly large city and I believe I have been paying way too much.
I don't want to start any battles, but I'm just curious. What is average?
haircut
I pay about $20 for a wash, dry, style plus a tip. I guess it could be worse huh?
Haircut
I pay anywhere from $17-$22 in a small town in Northern Ohio. If you go to one of the chains like Best Cuts, Famous Hair, etc., it runs anyways from $10-$13.
What should you tip on a $65 haircut?
//
Haircut
For just a cut and a dry/style - 12.00. I usually tip about 20%.
My dentist office charges if you miss - sm
your appt. (or don't call and cancel 24-hours ahead) But they had me sign a paper acknowledging that they told me this and that I agree to the terms. This sounds totally bogus and a scam to boot. Good luck.
Mine charges $12 (shocking!!) only other profession I know of
whose wages have gone down like MTs - and you do not tip if it is the owner of the shop is my understanding
McDonalds charges a $1 dine-in fee if you eat inside.
I don't tip those who bus the tables. I don't tip the person taking my order. I don't feel the need to tip those people - they are making an hourly rate for the job they do and it does not require hardly any skill at all.
Over-priced haircut. SM
The salon and hairdresser I have been going to for years have raised their prices like crazy over the past year or so. They now charge $60 for a haircut. My hair is short, chin length.
The hairdresser used to spend about 20 minutes doing my hair, what with blowdrying and all, but now, since the price has gone up, she is spending less than five minutes. Clip, clip and done.
Can I ask her if she would lower the price for my haircut or would that be out of line? If not, I am definitively planning on going to another salon. Haircuts around here are not cheap, but $60 for short hair and less than five minutes is insane. If that was what anything was thinking, yes, it is INSANE.
$60 ? i pay 12 for a haircut w/styling. where are you?
x
I always tip 10-15%, but I have never paid $65 just for a haircut...
nm
haircut prices
$35 to $40; less if you don't have it blow-dried. For the works (cut, color, highlights), about $150. Toner may be more, depending on the salon. Tip is 20%, & don't forget the shampoo tech.
These are Houston prices.
Really think court case, child abuse charges
when another mother breastfed her child past a so called normal age. The poster says do not worry about what others think and the kids did not have to wear braces, but what about emotional issues that might come to pass with a 6 year old still on the boob? Most in this country, I am sure, would agree with these posts that you overstepped bounds in a mother-child relationship when this happened. Some things just should not happen.
$30.00 for haircut.... Upscale salon...
I usually give her 5.00, but 10 if she colors. I love her though and gave her 20.00 at Christmastime.....
How much do you pay for a haircut and what's the rule about tipping your stylist?? nm
I hope they didn't charge him for the haircut! -(nm)-
My 15-yo son shops on line at Old Navy and Hot Topic, shoes.com. And he's cool. As for haircut.
55 for cut only, 85 with color, and
''''
Oh my!! I pay $55.00 for cut and color and
5 years to the same hairstylist. I can't imagine paying $60.00 for a haircut alone.
COLOR
Hi, sorry about your hair. Try this first: Shampoo your hair with a fairly stripping shampoo (Prell is best, but who knows where you can buy it these days, so opt for that other green shampoo called Pert. Shampoo in and let it stay on for about five minutes and then rinse. Your hair should be much lighter. In a long-ago time before I did this I was a hairdresser and a colorist. Your best bet if that does not do the trick is find out who to go to in your area who does good corrective work. There is a professional product out now that really works and does not strip or damage hair. It can even remove black. You need a good colorist to apply this. Afterward you can have them reapply a color that works with your skin color. The best way to find someone is to look around wherever you go. When you see a really beautiful color that looks natural ask who their colorist is and try to get an appointment. One thing to add, I have had mine done recently (color removal) and it came out beautifully, but it was over $300.00. It was a small price to pay for me because I had colored my hair Sharon Osborne red and my natural color is blonde. It looked good on Sharon, but on me was a total disaster! Good luck and remember to stay away from "temporary" color products from over-the-counter, read all labels carefully, and stay away from metals in the list of ingredients. If you get it straightened out it is not too costly to go in and have your hair done by a colorist every 3-4 weeks as touch-ups are fairly cheap.
Just went and got a cut and color for $35.00
Haircuts alone are $18.00. I used to go to an upscale salon near where I worked and spent about $75 for cut and color. I find that I lik the job the new salon does for half the price.
$40, color and cut and IN MY HOME YET.....
However, if you get in your car and drive to any salon here in nicer S. Florida neighborhoods - you'll pay through the teeth.
Of course I tip her above the $40 she charges me for the cut and color....*S*
hair color sm
Had beautiful brown hair with natural red highlights, talked into blond highlighting, now go every 3 mos for cut and color but prices are being ridiculously increased to over $110 for this service, $45 for the cut and $65 for partial - more for full highlight. I am scared to do this alone, as I don't want to look like a "skunk" and the highlighting makes me feel better, as I'm getting older. Another subject - as you get older, people treat you like you're taking up space on the planet - rude. I don't intend to go gray. Is keeping the brown and putting in my onw highlights a fairy tale, is it that difficult? Can't imagine how I'll see in the mirror to do it alone!!! Can't afford it anymore. I think the stylist is planning to raise her prices and it will be over $150 for the whole head!
hair color
I found some really cool hair color at www.bettybeauty.com
what color shoes to buy
See what color other bridesmaids are wearing, all should be same. Beige or cream color is a good choice. Gold/silver better choice for evening & not at golf course.
Be careful of the color of the tea...
my dad drank about 1/2 cup of diet coke and he had to go back the next day for the test....they said it had to be the coke causing it to be too dark inside...but that was for a colonoscopy.
Sputum...any color - sm
Makes me feel like gagging every time I hear it
In NJ and $35 for a cut, $85 for color and over $100 for highlights, but
it can get higher depending on how many highlights. I stopped that for a while, but had to go back to just get a few on the top and sides as my color was so blah. I tip her 20% because she also washes my hair and gives a nice massage with my feet up. She also will get me coffee, water or magazines if I want them.
It's a color that's associated with sunshine.
:)
Color-Guard Cheer
DH has to wear red to work now, and I wear a lot also. For warm loads I usually add one of the oxygen products or else color-safe bleach, and for cold I add bleach for colors.
I can't use regular bleach on whites because even if I rinse the load twice, DH itches terribly.
Correction on hair color
Just read back, it should say, "I don't want to look like a skunk." The message somehow got changed and is unintelligible (donsunk)
Cut/color: $125. Tip: $25. Ability to call the best
She's worth every penny of it!
That little touch of color at my desk
would be my hubby. He sure brightens my day.
Color significance inside
Colors of the Indian flag, saffron stands for courage and sacrifice and Hinduism; the white, for purity and truth; the green for growth and auspiciousness as well as Islam.
Park by a post, order food, make money!
My office is green and have green throughout my house. It is just not working for me!
Toning down hair color
Somewhere I read you should add baking soda to your shampoo once a month to control product buildup. I wanted to try it, but I was using my Nizoral shampoo, so I didn't want to mess with that. So instead I added it to my cream rinse. Rinsed as usual.
I no longer have the brassy stripe of hair in the back; it neutralized the process some fancy hairdresser had done (after I told him to be sure he didn't get any highlighter on that area because it would get too light). Baking soda fixed his goof!
How cool is that. No more highlights for me.
no, they don't ou ever see a *horse* change color?
Wannie: You have said you married and divorced your DH x3....I can just imagine what a roller coaster that must have been. So, how did YOUR *horse* change colors? *curious* ...via therapy? Intense therapy would have done it - that's the only way....
But then if I married the same dude x3 - I would never tell the world it wasn't working out (if it truly wasn't working out).....goes along with my belief of 3 strikes and yer out.......
perhaps not for you, but for most........perhaps you just *lucked* out...and that's GREAT if he truly turned the corner and remained turning the corner....it's just one never hears that any longer...
Best of luck!!
On the subject of hair color... (sm)
Not to hijack your post, but does anyone know what will easily remove hair color from the skin? My hairstyle is very short and I always end up with color stains on my neck, ears and forehead. The remover they use in the salon doesn't do a good job. I've tried alcohol, shampoo, and even a Shout wipe! Any other suggestions?
question about hair color, please sm
I know there is a post below regarding hair color and highlights. My question is, I colored and highlighted my hair and I don't like it. Is there something out there you can put on your hair or wash through your hair to take this color out (without going to a hairdresser)? I did a lighter color for my hair (my hair is naturally medium brown with a lot gray). I got some sort of blonde color and that turned out ok, but then i highighted it and i have like bleach blonde looking highlights and I just don't think it looks natural. I think i just want my natural brown/gray look. I've been reading about the dangers of hair color and after reading, I think I just want to be natural.
Thanks!
Has anyone used this type of hair color?? sm
Henna is the name of it. It's supposed to be all natural organic hair color. Here's the web site. Just wondered if anyone has ever tried it.
