I need a fork

Now that I read this I am really hungry.  I usually use flour too and love Southern Cooking.  I love food, especially Southern and now I am thinking about bacon gravy and biscuits.   There is no White Lily flour here (isn't that a sad thing).   There are some other things you can thicken gravies and sauces with that I have tried including arrowroot and potato starch.  They work better for some things.   When I make prime rib I make a mushroom gravy.  First I just saute onion and mushrooms and cook until they carmelize and then add butter and  flour and cook until browned, then add dry white wine the juices and bubble them up on medium and then then beef broth or beef or mushroom base  to augment the amount of jucies I have and at the end I add a pint or so of cream.    Sometimes I add a little garlic, salt and pepper at the end.  This is so good that I would rather eat it than the meat!    Now I am really hungry.

After I cut up a salad with my fork and knife
I lick the dressing off my knife (even in restaurants). I can't stop myself. Life my BFF says, at least you have admitted you have a problem, that is the first step.
Poor MT..I live in Michigan, pick me up will you? I'll even bring my own plate and fork. LOL. nm
