When anyone in my family refers to the "nurse" at the doctor's office, I have a fit. They're not "nurses" and never will be.
Anyone who tells others that "they run in higher class circles" sm
says a lot. And the fact that you would call another person you don't even know a jerk also says tons about you. Sounds like WAYY too much guilt to me. Get help ASAP

So they sedated her, shaved her and THEN found a faint scar they are 99% sure is a spay scar so they aren't going to spay her now. She was almost bald on her stomach the first time they checked so I don't know how they missed it last time. Her knee joint is swollen so they are putting her on meds for that. They didn't check anything else I asked about so when I go pick her up we get to do that then. No results on the blood work yet either, if they even drew it. I'll be happy when we can go back to our regular vet.
I am so dang frustrated!!!!

I have now been on the phone with Vonage for 30 minutes and this is my 3rd phone call in as many days. I changed my billing information this weekend and when I did they put 2 test charge holds on my account of $15 each. Now my bank says they cannot release these holds, that it has to come from Vonage.
The first call, they told me within 2 hours they would have it released, to check back my account. The second call, the same scenario. Let them check with that department, please hold..... yes, they will release your money immediately. Now, third call and I have this very irritating woman with an American name (which of course is not her name since I have to listen very carefully to understand a word out of her ESL mouth) who keeps informing me there is nothing to be done and she is sorry but a supervisor is not available and she is so sorry, but no supervisor is available and if they were available they would still tell me that there is nothing they can do for me... put me on hold, play elevator music, answer again and say, I am so sorry, miss, there is noone available to take your complaint other than myself and if there were,,, blah...blah... blah
Even if.... even if.... I am sorry... as much as I want to....

I know the fustration of a car not passing inspection. My previous car, a VW Beetle, had tinted windows, and they were over the legal tint. SOoooo, nobody would give me an inspection. I paid $250 for that tint job and I loved it and said I am not taking it off. My bug was white and the dark windows just set it off. So finally we found a place that gave me the sticker. YAY!! But I don't have that car anymore. Last year I got a new car and I just sold the bug. I don't have tint on the new car though. And if I do I won't be getting past the legal limit.
Look at the bright side, at least the car is paid for. No note. It does suck you had to take it out of retirement.
If I can recommend one thing. Read The Total Money Makeover by Dave Ramsey. It won't solve your problems overnight but if you follow his advice it will in time. I know people who have and it works.
Vent all you want. I know how it is to need to vent. But beware some people on here can be pretty rude sometimes. I have experienced it myself. ;)

daughter pay for gas and insurance when she starts driving. She hasn't started driving yet because she doesn't want to get a job to pay for that privilege. That's her choice. We're also making her pay 1/2 of the fees for the state required driver's education course.

I was going for guardenship of my father - set to be filed in court on Monday and he was killed going to see this woman over the weekend. I had no qualms about having the courts to step in, wanted them to because he did not want to listen to me, his only living child and next of kin.

Could you tell me what an M-team and an S-team are? Also, do you know what an LEA is? It may be that we are in different states and the terms are interchangeable with something I have heard of (I think I read something about an SST team, may not be the correct letters though).
Glad you were able to get things to go your way! We have always been pleased in the past and our son has always progressed very well in their programs, receiving A's and B's on his report cards and major behavior improvements, but they missed the mark on this one, and when my husband signed acceptance of their plan after their refusal to try what we thought would be best for him, he told them what would happen and his prediction has come true.

the time before the first ice age. Kinda of hard to believe that we are heading to an ice age when temperatures around this part of the country can top 100+ degrees in the summer and stay up as high as 70 in the winters. Weird weather.....
Anyhoo.....I also like to melt about a half block of the big block of Velveeta and add a can of chili to it and heat through until bubbly. Really good with Fritos, too!

When I looked back at my post, I meant to say my mom is the only person we will leave a sick child with if we absolutely have to go somewhere, not that if we absolutely have to leave them with her. My mom is a retired nurse, as well as having great mom common sense after raising 4 kids with all the mumps, measles, chicken pox, colds, flu, etc that goes along with it. She's also close enough to pick them up from school if need be. It's just worked out really good for all of us. Like I said, I think she and the kids would have missed out on a lot if she had lived far away.

rude towards you by what she said. I think she was just letting you know how some doctors feel. I did work as a nurse for 15 years prior to transcription and she is right. Some doctors just hate it when a suggestion is made by someone other than themselves even a nurse, they do not like it and also will not listen or suggest the same thing. Some, not all seem to think only they know best. I do agree with one of the other posters that a good doctor is a doctor that listens to you. Good luck and I do hope you feel better soon.

She is very moody. I do keep very close tabs on my daughter. I don't feel the need to put her under a microscope as of yet, but as she gets older I may have to do that.
