Yep, then you take a big baseball bat
naw, just kidding but this was years ago and I saw rats swollen up like overfed pigs, well not that big but you could tell the edema had really set in. Maybe since they were in the farm yard they were just left to get blow up like balloons??
Does she like baseball? sm
For my 16th, my parents took 2 of my friends and me to a pro baseball game. The B-day deal included boxes for all of us with goodies (edible and nonedible) and my name on the scoreboard. The seats were not good, but a Montreal Expo outfielder (Andre Dawson) yelled out "happy birthday" to me. Best of luck!
I have baseball memories with my Dad
My favorite activity as a child was stick/hose ball. My Dad would cut up old hose and pitch them to us. There were some woods behind the house, so it didn't matter how hard you hit those pieces of hose. What fun!! We used to go crabbing in the summer and built gigantic snowmen in the winter. I was in the middle child with an older and younger brother, so I learned to play a lot of football, baseball, and yes, believe it or not, we used to play guns! Fake ones of course! Times have sure changed!
for all you baseball fans out there...sm
Boston did rather well...At any World Series ya get a really exciting experience, especially if you're in the nosebleed seats. Cat

steroid use in baseball
Can anyone tell me why Congress is using taxpayer $ to investigate steroid use in major league baseball, especially on those who used steroids before they were banned. Why doesn't baseball clean up their own mess?
Do you eat in the bathroom?
That is disgusting. I never eat in the bathroom and would never expect my baby to either. I don't get the breastfeeding hangups some folks have. I always nursed in public. I didn't take my shirt off, but I didn't suffocate my baby with a blanket either!!
We made the decision to breastfeed, not bottlefeed, so I didn't own a pump, why would I go through the hassle of a bottle if the breast is right there?
Keep nursing in public moms!! I don't nurse anymore (my babies are 11 & 14 and even I would find that gross!)
bathroom, sorry!

In the bathroom I
I went out to restaurant last weekend and the place was packed with prom goers.
The girls were in the bathroom and one girl was complimenting the other girl on her head band.
She said that her mother made it for her from some beading at walmart and ribbon and looked up on the internet how to design a greek style headband.
Sounds like a nice gift to me, if you knew the color of the dress.
Okay, I LISTEN FOR A LIVING RIGHT? I am a terrible eavesdropper. :)
bathroom do-over.....sm
We are getting our house ready to put on the market. I have a PINK bathroom and a YELLOW bathroom with the tiles that go halfway up the wall all the way round and matching toilets. It is a real nightmare! The tub needs resurfacing because it always looks dirty. I'm thinking about having the tub and the tile around it sprayed a neutral color, then chipping off the tiles on the wall and replacing with beadboard. Just wondered if anybody has had that spray-on resurfacing done. Is it expensive and does it hold up very long? Thanks.
Watch a baseball game. sm
A lot of pro sports people do it too. Good luck, maybe he will stop.
We all have troubles with kids. My 21-year old son was on pot real bad, and he has finally stopped, so hang in there.
If he can play baseball with his vision...
he can play football with it. You need to see better for baseball.
Trust me, they don't have to be tough to play football. The first couple times they get hit, you can see how scared they are. Then the actually realize those pads really DO stop it from hurting...and some of our littlest ones turns into the most aggressive ones.
Football is hard work though, and the training is more difficult than the other sports. My husband coaches baseball, basketball and football for kids (12 and under). They do work a lot harder and they're pretty exhausted after football, but if it really is to the point where they are all throwing up and crying, you have bigger worries. You need a new program director!! I know that's not what you're asking about, but that's just not right for kids that young to be worked that hard. How can they possibly learn to love the sport from that?
Baseball "why" question
Watching the Olympics reminds me of this question....Can anyone tell me why we have a game that is called "The World Series" but only American teams compete and play????????
I was in the bathroom with a cook at a SM
restaurant who didn't wash her hands. I was totally disgusted. I loved this restaurant. I went to the manager and told her what happened. She ran back to the kitchen and screamed--loudly--at the cook in their language and then came back to me and apologized and said the cook said she washed her hands when she got back in the kitchen, but that she would make sure none of her employees ever left the bathroom again without washing their hands.
I used to work in fast food as a teenager and even if I just went in the bathroom to look in the mirror, I would wash my hands just in case a customer should come in and suspect I had gone to the bathroom without washing my hands.
So, in short...lol...that is one of my pet peeves as well!

How'd you like to have this view from your bathroom?
The presidential suite bathroom at New York's Mandarin Oriental. The 2,640-square-foot suite rents for $14,000 a night.
That bathroom's about the same size as
I had a report with a baseball stuck in a man's rectum -
when the nurses asked him why a baseball, he responded that his wife was not home and it seemed like a good idea at the time!!!
Run a hot steamy shower in the bathroom and
Put the baby in the bathroom alongside of you, of course, but not in the shower. Just try to get the baby to get the steam from the shower. I used to do this when mine were little, and it worked great.
But doesn't it stink up the bathroom?
I don't know about you, but I love my garden tub and I spend at least an hour in the bathroom every day - just showering and doing my hair and makeup. I can't imagine smelling kitty litter while I'm doing that. I realize that bathrooms are made for the purpose of excreting stool, but it seems such a waste to have a tub like that and not use it for its intended purpose.
I always use my garden tub once a week to "rejuvenate" with a long soak. I figure I'm entitled to that even with the water shortages since I save on gas by not working outside the home.
To each his own I guess!
I worked for a hospital where the major baseball team
here in town used. I had access to all patient information including the telephone numbers and addresses. My daughter, at that time teenager, begged me for the address of a certain big time player who went on to marry Hallie B but no, no- was not gonna put my job on the line. I knew DD could easily turn into your stalker girl!
Finally got my main bathroom remodeled.

There's a big difference between the Wynn and your local Wal-Mart bathroom! sm
I've noticed a lot of holes where the hooks USED to be. I don't if people are jerks and rip them off just because they can, or if it's a result of all these gigantic purses people are carrying around these days.
Ha, sounds like my sister, she gets "dishwasher's diarrhea" and heads for the bathroom sm
at clean up time!

Recurring bathroom dream & ex dream
I have a recurring dream about having to go in a public bathroom and not only can everybody see me, but I am barefoot, wearing bell-bottoms and the floor is always wet. Yuck!
I also have recurring dreams about being back with my abusive ex and trying to get me and the kids away from him. We have been divorced 22 years, but I have these dreams frequently!
Loved it!!!. nm
Ha Ha
I loved NC
I was 20 miles north of charlotte. I think NC is a beautiful state. I would love to go back some day to a metro part of NC.
We have had them and loved them...
got my daughter one when she was about 13 (she is 25 now) and she has had 3 others since. Ours were all descented, though they did still smell some, but just gave them baths, which they love! We got such a kick out of watching Tinker (our first one) run throughout the house stealing socks and hiding them under the couch. Never had a problem with them, they sleep most of the time, ours were never aggressive towards us. Our cat and ferret got along wonderfully. Just like anything else in a cage, you have to keep it clean, but that is to be expected.
Me too and I loved it. nm

Loved my mom, but.... sm
Sunshine, when I look back, I wish I had not taken what my mother said as gospel. I would have used my own discretion as to right and wrong behavior and SHE would have to grow up and accept it. You know in your heart what is right and wrong or you would not have asked us for advice. Your Mom needs your love, but you also need to be your very own person. You have a new life now which includes your husband. Do it for him, go with him and if they don't want to go along, tell them you will look forward to celebrating with them next day. In the meantime, they can "be your guest and have a good time until you get home." You take care, be strong!! All the things Mom teaches us are not exactly the right thing to do. Be fair.
Loved it!
These things happen all the time and we have to laugh at it. Just read your local newspaper for more. We are wordsmiths, so we have to have a little humor now and then. We were celebrating a birthday, an anniversary and something else all at once, so we asked to have "Happy Occasion" written on the cake. We had a terrible time getting "occasion" spelled correctly by those behind the counter. Blame the school system, not the cake decorator.
LOVED IT
although it was sad, it was very funny in parts, and had an awsome ending, can't believe the reviews were so bad, favorite movie since The Holiday. Loved seeing Denny from Grey's Anatomy in it. And yes, I need a poster of Gerard Butler now on my wall, LOL!!! My new fantasy man.
Loved it. Thx

Yes and I LOVED IT
I loved that show--how you doin.. Heehee
My dog is very much loved thank you ---
what I mean is that I will never, never get rid of him so that no matter how much he irritates me by marking up everything I have in the house, chewing up my things that he can get to, scratching up my hardwood floors, pulling down my curtains when he wants to play, then I have about 10 more years of headaches because I love him dearly and he is not leaving this house!
So don't feel sorry for my ball of fur - he is very spoiled and very much loved!
I loved 4H
But could be because my best friends mom taught it and we were all together all the time. I have to admit the most I remember about 4H was learning to can food, basic nutrition, I knitted my first pair of slippers, but at 48 its been over 30 years, so I don't remember much, just that I had fun and learned stuff. Here in our town (now on the west coast) they do have 4H groups around. But nice to know there are other 4Hers out there.
P.S. - Not sure if you remember that girl scouts went like this - brownies grade 2&3, junior grade 4, 5 & 6, cadettes 6 & 7, seniors 8 and maybe 9 (can't) remember. Now there are so many branches and I get offended when they call say you have brownies and then girl scouts. I consider all levels girl scouts. Well its been over 20 or so years since I've been in girl scouts too so lots have changed.
loved it!
Thanks and Amen!
I did and LOVED it
I just love all of them, and thought they all looked great. I still watch their original MTV series DVD and laugh myself silly.
I'll keep watching it (provided I remember when it's on...I have a terrible memory about that kind of stuff!).
That made my day, I loved it !!...nm

ooh, your's too - I LOVED YOUR POST....
I too have friends of ALL denominations - so whose is right?? I think much of it is myth....the adam and eve story whereby if woman was made from his rib, then men should have 1 less rib than woman, right? WRONG....my plastic surgeon (who I work for) confirmed that both men and women have 12 ribs.......
so that adam and eve story was shot to you-know-what once he said that to me....
oh and he's a religious Jewish person *LOL*
I loved reading this. sm
I also read it on the Comedy board and shared it with my Bible School class. Will share wtih my adult Sunday School also.
Loved the original. sm
I haven't seen this one yet, but I will. A couple of columnists have said that it is not as good as the original. One said J. Travolta was fabulous but the rest were just okay and not as good as the musical. Someone else said it didn't seem to live up to it's hype. I guess to each his own.
If you really loved me, by Ann Rule. sm
she writes true crime books, really excellent writer, one of my favorites. However, I need to mix it in with chick lit, recently finished The Devil Wears Prada. Had the Nanny Diaries on my mp3 player (I thought the stories had a similar tone). Also like Michael Lee West book Mad Girls in Love, because it takes place in Tennessee, and she had some familiar places in it. Want to read some of her other stuff.
I loved them both, but get the books
and then nobody will have to talk you into seeing the rest of the movies, LOL.
Plus with the movies you don't get into Harry's head as much, and that's where you get to know Harry. I can only imagine that people who only see the movies don't know him nearly as well as the readers do.
just curious - did you see any of your loved ones? sm
i too kinda believe in reincarnation. mom my swears my daughter is my sister reincarnated. odd, but lots of similarities.
I loved the first couple of those they did but since then
it has gotten just too cutthroat for me, and the people they have on there are not likeable enough to make me want to root for any of them.
Loved, I agree (nm)

Loved all these fun movies sm
You had Joe Pesci correct. I am not a person who swears a lot but he swears so much, it gets hilarious. Of course, I watch him with no kids around. He swore so much in Casino that I was laughing all by myself. Husband and I are getting older, so we joke about Python's skit - Bring out your Dead! But I'm not dead yet! So hilarious! Thanks for the laughs. No offense meant by the swearing, I just love Joe Pesci, loved him when he was ordered by the court to live in his own slum houses. I am sure he's a much nicer guy in person. Thanks for the memories.
Wow! I loved all the replies!
What a bunch of great things everyone did! Really cool. I don't mean to brag about us MTs, but I do think we are a cool bunch...lots in common too! From loving Wii and video games and fun and intelligent TV marathons to everything else listed. It is so nice to know we all have so many things in common and that we are all "out there" keeping each other company! I remember being an MT not so long ago before the I-net, and not even really knowing anyone quite like me.. now I don't feel so alone rather feel quite in good company! Thanks for writing and keep letting us know what you did, and or are still doing. Kind regards and thanks again the Holiday MT. :)
My dad has always loved butterscotch, so...sm
I thought this sounded like a good desert to try for him. It has been a long road for me and my dad, but now that my mom has passed he has been a real "rock" in my world and I am so grateful to have him. Hope he likes it! Thanks.
loved the game
I watched and LOVED the game - I really didn't care who won - I rooted for both times - love both quarterbacks. . . totally enjoyed the whole thing - even most of the commercials. . my fiance isn't much of a footbal fan, so I mostly watched by myself - used the game as an excuse to have lots of snacks.
