I know it won't be a fairy tale...but (sm)

we have fought like cats and dogs for about 15 years. For each of us, the thought of having the other not living with them is a relief. My own dad used to come for holidays with my mom and her current husband. So I am aware it can happen. I am sorry if things did not work out that way for you. And they may not work out that way for me, but I can dream of some day having peace.

Fairy Tale sm
Family has no money to fix car, lawnmower, house had to be refinanced. Good pop doesn't believe in divorce so lets wife who runs around til 3-4 in the a.m. with another guy go to Egypt alone to meet foreign guy but hubby keeps check on computer and talks to other guy involved. Hubby good guy, waits for mommy to come home. Kids have no idea - everything is wonderful in the Cleaver household, mom is on vacation. Kids don't suspect a thing, don't hear any evil, see any evil, just waiting for all to return to normal. All is well with these little kids. Yeah right! Poor babies. Jeesh! Where's this guy's backbone?
i agree not to lie, but allow the fairy tale!!
i always asked questions -- like really? you don't think there is a santa claus?? etc. Its fun for the imagination. My grown daughter now tells how she used to listen for the reindeer's footsteps on the roof -- and one night she thought she heard them!! Its a fun thing. But no, i never lied. If you EVER lie to your children, they will always question your honesty in a sensitive matter.
LOL 'Sky fairy.' I like that. Yes, the sky fairy... sm
Gets an awful lot of things wrong, doesn't he? ;o)

Funny about Tooth Fairy reveal
When I told my children I was the tooth fairy, at first they thought I meant I was the "Tooth Fairy" ... as in, I was the one leaving money under everyone's pillows. - Lol I got such a kick out of that! :)
Just goes to show you how strongly they believe in what their parents say and scarey that we have such influence (when we are so flawed).
