I hope your family stays safe. It looks really bad.

I hope they decide not to ride it out though. I have been watching on TV all day. Senator Kay Baily Hutchinson was just on Fox News and she believes Galveston is going to be underwater due to the storm surge. Not sure where your family is, but hopefully they thought better about staying and left.

I really liked Danny at the beginning of the season, but not so much now. I wish he would have picked a different song for his choice because I hate the one he did, to the point that I couldn't even listen to it even with him singing. Adam irks me beyond belief. Kris' first song was not his best, but that was due to a poor choice on Kara and Randy's part, and his second song was incredible. As far as dialidol, they stink at making any real predictions.
Hope you are safe in the Midwest with the terrible storms..
that are ravaging the area. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your families.
I hope your family is okay with it, LOL
You know how some people are very attached to traditions, at least on hubby's side of the family. They want everything THE SAME.
Hope we have a girl in our family too
After having 5 grandsons, which I adore, I sure would like a sweet little girl to come into the family. I keep hinting, maybe one day. Congrats on your good news!!!
My property tax rate stays low
because there are so many mansions in my town. There is a house on the market right now for $23 million, plus lots of others in the 5-10 million dollar range. What is really sickening is that these are second or even third homes for some people. But they are paying such high taxes, it really takes the burden off us little guys who live way, way, way on the other side of the tracks.

Revlon in the black tube stays put,
but then I put something glossier over the top because the look isn't as see-through as the style is now. But it doesn't feel drying; just not ultra-moisturizing.
That wasn't even the point of the OP. She wanted to know about in-laws or anyone else just walking in without knocking. My family and friends don't have to knock before they come my house. That was my point.
I live in a rural area that I grew up in, everyone knows everyone else. I have a nice, loud watch dog who lets me know when anyone is around. The windows are locked. The doors are locked at night and when we leave the house. I know what kind of a world we live in. The Pony Express brings the paper every couple of weeks back to the sticks. I try to stay informed.
Better Safe Than Sorry
Better to be safe than sorry, especially with beef -- that can be a very bad GI problem if the beef has gone bad with bacteria.
Happy New Year!!
is there nothing safe?
How can any of you get so excited and downright mean about something as basic as a vitamin question? Gee whiz, it's just a discussion board. So contentious.
Can't make them safe.
A 14 year old I know was killed on his bike a few weeks ago. You can't make them live in a bubble. I will pay for my kids insurance and their cars. Of course they will have rules, although our state has plenty as it is for young drivers. I will teach them to be responsible drivers, walkers, bike riders, etc. Just because life can be hard, doesn't mean you have to make it be harder. I moved out of my parents house just before my 15th birthday and took care of myself. While it can be done, it doesn't always have to be.
If they kids are safe there - just let it go.
Some families do holidays as major events. If the stepmom and her family are half descent people and the kids are safe there then don't worry about it. :)
A little on the bossy side with my dogs, but...LOL! She's here and everyone is getting along for the most part.
She needs to learn about safe sex. Either you SM
discuss this with her or, better yet, see doctor and have her given some form of birth control. I think this is imperative. If she is having sex, I don't think she is going to stop. You somehow have to convince her to act responsibly. Condoms would be the best thing.
Wow, this just blows me away. Last year or early this year a mother aged 17 or 18 gave birth to her 2nd child without parents or anyone for that matter knowing she was pregnant. She walked into an Omaha Hospital and left her child in a restroom and walked out. Please note at that time Nebraska was the ONLY state which did not have a safe haven law on the books. It was pushed through shortly after and is now a law FINALLY. Which is good because now mothers, who do not want to or cannot take care of their children have a safe place to take them without being in trouble for doing so.
Well, to my understanding this law (NE only), does not have an age limit as to how old the chid can be when dropped off at the hospital. Other states have it cut off at 14 but none have ever seen a child OVER 3. This information came from a radio show about the new law yesterday. Since the law was put in place a mother dropped off an 11 year old, a different family dropped off a 9 year old and this mornings news has the following
OMAHA, Neb. -- The state has taken temporary custody of a teenage girl who was dropped off at an Omaha hospital Saturday under Nebraska's new safe haven law.
A representative from the state Department of Health and Human Services said the girl, 13, was left at Immanuel Hospital around midday. No other details were released.
The girl was the third child dropped off at Nebraska hospitals in the past week.
The state's safe haven law took effect in July and allows parents to abandon children at hospitals and other locations. The law does not set a minimum age after which a child can't be left without prosecution.
Does anyone have any thoughts on this? I agree with the law all the way. I am just concerned about the after shock of having an older child dropped off at the ages stated above, what kind of damage is that doing to the child? I do not agree with child abuse and know that older children are abused all the time but is there not another way we could deal with this?
Just wondering what everyone else was thinking.
It is already from a safe contact
I can open all mail, but where pics should be (and were before hotmail changed the look) are just boxes. It isn't just from one contact, but from all my contacts that I used to receive pics from. Now what? I sent an email to the contact site, but they have not answered me yet.
Family is great but I am never back in my hometown where family is... So I always have extended fami
You can always pick your friends your stuck with your family. An Xmas for me is where my husband and kids come home to. It is what you make it!
This one is completely fail-safe:
It's expensive. It's bad for your health. DUI's are expensive. AND, in 2008, if you're DUI and kill someone, you can be charged with MURDER, instead of merely vehicular manslaughter.
So I'm havin' a Coke, staying sober, and hopefully I'll live to enjoy yet another year.
my kids had a safe haven to come sm
home to and they knew it and still know it. They have come back twice when times were tough and we didn't charge them a dime until they got on their feet in a couple months. I just think is an injustice to not charge them at all and let them go and do as they please when working and not going to school. You don't get to blow your money as you please as an adult, why should they if they are not in school?
Summer. Friends or family? Family. Tired or Awake?

Abstinence is not Birth Control, it is SAFE SEX.
Abstinence is truly the only SAFE SEX....but it is NOT considered birth control........

Good grief, they deserve a safe sm
plce to live! They are not going to remember the big house, etc when they are grown. They WILL remember the abuse you subjected them to and did not get out.
Why not stay safe AND support the US economy
San Diego, Santa Barbara, Santa Monica/Venice Beach, LA Jolla, Pismo Beach, etc.
Also early spring is the best time to see the Grand Canyon, Southwest, etc., before it gets hot, and the hordes of tourist busses arrive.
So you think cell phones are safe? This is troubling! This is probably what it does to our brain power - like putting your head in a microwave,
everyone on the plane wasn't hovering around this woman while she nursed...good grief!
Mind your own business and you'd never even know the baby was being nursed...dang!
By the way, at Disneyland.. how many butts and boobs did you see hanging out of shorts and tops? Did *yo momma* report them to the security and hold them hostage while they were told to leave? Huh? Doubt it!
Hope you are doing well... sm
I totally understand how you may be feeling. I was only able to get pregnant one time and lost the baby four weeks into the pregnancy, but I was the most pregnant woman in the world during that time. How special I felt; how special my husband and I felt together with this miracle growing inside me. Then, our world was shattered by the loss of the child we dreamt of. It took me a long time to get to a place in my heart where I could talk openly about the loss and grieve for our lost child. We prayed and prayed that God would bless us again, but it didn't happen the way we expected. I did not get pregnant again. Our little girl in heaven would be age 22 now.
Then, at the age of 40, when we had all but given up on parenthood, we met a 16-year-old unwed mother at our church. She was raising her infant daughter by herself and living in a shelter. She had decided to bring this child into the world instead of taking the easier road and aborting her. God bless her for that. She and her infant daughter came to live with us for over three years, restoring the joy of having a child to our home. For that time, we were content being "Nana and Pappaw." Then, the birth mom got involved with a man who wrecked her life and caused her to have to give up her child for adoption. We did not want this to happen to her, but the Lord intervened and we were able to adopt her daughter as our own. She is now 11 years old, is a wonderful child, bright, loving, and full of life. Her birth mom left the man who caused all the trouble, and God blessed her with a wonderful husband and a son. We now have contact with her new family by telephone, and she is like a daughter to us as well. Our 11-year-old daughter is so amazing, and so much like us that it is almost frightening! God, in His infinite wisdom, will restore you, just as He restored us. Trust in Him and trust His timing. We will be praying for you as you go through this chapter in your life. We are also in the State of Georgia, and you may email me at any time, should you need to talk to someone who has been there, and reassurance that God loves you and there are a lot of people out here praying for you. May God richly bless you throughout the holidays, and may you find His peace which passes all understanding.

Like the other MT said . . . I believe that there is a love match for every person on this planet. This could be the "one". Follow your heart. It is better to have loved and lost than to never have been loved. (Someone really great said that!) Take it slow and enjoy the ride. Have fun!
I sure hope so... but, we won't
give up on them. We are season ticket holders (nose bleed section of course), but we love it. Our daughter loves them more than our son, she has not had the opportunity to go to a game yet. But one of the guys in front of us want to trade up some tickets so he can bring his family. He has two seats and we have two seats, so maybe that will work out for next season. It is a blast! Of course, my Dad was from Southeast Philly, so I grew up on 'em. I'm looking forward to the Phillies' games, too. We do not have season tickets for them, but I wish... if only.....
I hope you are right..sm
I really don't think that for just a traffic ticket they would spend money to send some officer to another city to make good on a warrant, but you just never know. Depends on the judge who issued the warrant I guess. Your court records may be sealed, but I do believe the patitioner and defendent names are on a court dockett, and that is made public, though. If I remember right, it is posted by the court room door, but that is the state I live in. who knows. Either way, I wish you luck...with both your ticket and your child support issue! Think positive thoughts! :8]
Hope it is JT's but, sm
you are probably right. This may be old news, but she looks preggers in realy life. She and JT married in real life and it all happened so quickly most of her castmates didn't know until afterwards.
I so hope your dog does well sm
Our neighbor had the same problem with a mixed breed with a bit of terrier mixed in. It took her a bit longer to heal, but she is now doing wonderful. Isn't is amazing how much we love our furry friends? They will love us no matter what!!!
I hope you are right. Nothing would
be too severe. This country has to take a much harder look at this for so many reasons. We would love to think that everyone respects these beautiful creatures, but sadly not the case. In my local area alone the horror stories make me ill. I am going to put a post on about puppy mills the effect it had on my friend's dog.
I certainly hope not...
But I think she's way too selfish to get married any time soon. I see them breaking up when he gets ready to get married (he's only 20), cause she's too wrapped up in herself to be a wife...or am I just wishful hoping???
hope
Has your daughter changed her mind yet? The Navy sent my son's friend to Behran way back when the war first started. The other poster had marhvelous good luck with her husband and her sister and their Navy experience.
Dentists where I am are few and far between and it's a real problem. When I lost my childhood filling there, the tooth was too far gone to be saved. Well, it could have been saved but the cost was as much as monthly mortgate and car payment combined, so it went bye-bye. I balled my eyes out for almost 2 days because it was then that I realized I would probably wind up toofless the older I got, as I had no idea how expensive dental care was. Having your own teeth should be a luxury, ya know?
You take care of yourself and it's good to "see" ya!
