I am overweight and have a pannus which I need to keep an eye on it underneath gets quite irritated and once I started to get a yeast infection I believe. I just used the athletes foot cream on it for a couple days and it cleared right up. I hope to one day (after I lose about 80 pounds) have it removed and have an abdominoplasty.....just need to save up $7-8K for the surgery as my insurance won't pay for that, LOL.
I've definitely had a yeast infection with antibiotic use...
When I had to take antibiotics for a tooth infection, I had to also get Monostat for the horrible yeast infection I got. I don't think I've ever had one other than that, so still don't think it's linked to my liquid fabric softener.

I think it is a yeast allergy
Carbs and sugar feed the yeast in your body. I can't drink even a little alcohol without getting hungover or sick. My allergies were so bad that I used to have chronic earaches and toothaches (teethaches?). I also have an allergy to mold and all of the above make that worse. For that, I also stopped eating mushrooms, yogurt, soy sauce, vinegar. I love nuts though so I just eat a few at a time.
I have no sinus problems now except when pollen is bad and never get earaches or toothaches.

caused by the imbalance caused by all the heavy-duty antibiotics that have to be used nowdays to kill bacteria?
I am starting to see medical reports from journals saying that strong antibiotics seem to be causing the increase in serious allergies and asthma, and it's due to yeast and other fungi. Not all doctors are on board yet, but it took them along time to believe that ulcers were often caused by bacteria, so we shall see.

and many of the meds for jock itch, ring worm and athletes' foot are the same exact drug? Now the sprays and/or powders use different ones from some of the creams, but the some of the athlete's creams are just like some of the vaginal yeast creams. It's all for fungal infections, but the makers want you to buy 3 or more tubes please, LOL.

If it's yeast, Gold Bond (or the generic). Change diet to avoid sugar and white flour. Any carbs should be high fiber type. Instead of giving her yogurt, acidophilus pills are great because they don't have sugar that feeds yeast. If you are at a nature store or healthfood store, see if there is anybody knowledgeable there with other ideas.
Shampoo: OTC Nizoral is great, though expensive.

Anal gland secretion is just about one of the worse smells! OMG!!! Talk about an appetite deterrent! That smell just takes my appetite away.........and forget about eating!

You may have an infection.....
Have you tried calling your PCP and asking for some antibiotics? Ifyou have an infection or abscess, the antibiotics will at least bring down the pain once the infection is taken care of.
That being said, if there is any way you can find a dentist to work with giving you a root canal and making paymennts, it would be better to save your tooth than have it extracted. Once it's gone, it's gone.....this way you still have a tooth, which is very important for a lot of reasons.
I feel for you. My husband has had a root canal on just about every tooth in his mouth.....we knew he would need a root canal every time the pain began.
I have a question about an infection
I woke you yesterday with my entire head and face hurting. I felt sure this was a sinus infection but really didn't have anything to take except OTC meds. By yesterday evening I was having a lot of pain between my shoulder blades. The only relief I got was lying on my side. Throughout the night the pain spread through my entire back. I haven't done anything to strain my back. Basically took it easy most of yesterday. I tossed and turned all night becasue everytime I could get comfortable it would only last a few minutes. Using a heating pad seemed to make it worse. About the only way I can get comfortable is sitting up but hunched over with my arms crossed in front of me. It is possible for an infection to spread to my back like this. Help...I have to go to a funeral this afternoon.
uterine infection
Has anyone ever had a uterine infection? I had one 4 years ago and then recently I had another. I took the 10 days of antibiotics and then in a few days it started to come back. I have never seen a more persistent type of infection. When I had it 4 years ago I had to have my antibiotics refilled 3 times to get rid of it. I was wondering if anyone else has had this.

I'm not sure it would be classified as a "yeast" infection, but you can
get vaginal irritations from almost anything including the spermicide or lubricant used on a condom! Trust me, I know! Especially if you are sensitive to those sorts of thing. I have gotten "yeast" infections from changing detergents, soaps, etc.
Also, my niece, who is 17, recently dropped the "I'm pregnant" bombshell. She is allergic to latex. A year or so ago when she started dating her baby daddy she kept getting these vaginal irritations, cysts that had to be opened and drained. Nobody could figure out why she was getting these. Of she swore she wasn't having sex. Uhem, long story short, apparently she didn't realize that condoms are made of latex. When they figured it out, they stopped using them with plans for her to get on the pill, but you all know how that story goes. She never could get to the doctor, blah, blah, blah.
So yeah anything is possible, but with alternate methods of birth control readily available to teenagers today, a yeast infection from condoms is still no excuse.

Anyone else get a foot spa pedicure and end up with a fungal infection?
I am horrified to say the least. I never, ever go get manicures or pedicures because I am aware of all the nasty germs that lurk in places like that, but one of my friends wanted to go and I went with her. I have to say, it was a lot of fun and very relaxing, but when we were leaving I saw their health score framed on the wall. It was an 83!!! That was 4 months ago. The infection is only on my great toe on 1 foot, so for that I am glad. So now it is 3 months of Lamisil and LFTs every month.  Anyone else ever experience this?

Cold/sinus infection with beginning of period?
Okay, here's the deal. The day before my period, for the last year or so, I get a horrendously bad cold/sinus infection/flu-type process. It usually goes away about a day or two after my period. I have never ever had this happen before and its really bad this month. I have all the symptoms... stuffiness, red runny eyes, runny stuffy nose, pounding headache, throat like daggers, etc. It started as postnasal drip yesterday and I thought ohhh great... here we go. Needless to say I was up most of last night in complete tears because of the pain of it all and not being able to swallow at all. I have tried researching on the internet about this happening, but can't find any information. Has anyone heard of this or had this happen? I just want to stop it. truly, I would take the worst god awful cramps over this torture. I have had this both on and off the pill and I am only 31. Any information would be appreciated as I know what a wealth of information our community could be. Unfortunately, I am in Europe and so I can't go to my GP easily. The doctors here don’t do anything about anything unless its major either and I know they will brush it off as some silly sinus infection, but it happens every month and goes away in 3 days on its own, so it can't be a run of the mill thing. Any advice is welcome. I go home to the US in 6 months and I can wait if I have to, but maybe some angel out there knows something to help. I have tried tons of medications and herbal things/natropathic and nothing works except my period being established.

I totally understand how you may be feeling. I was only able to get pregnant one time and lost the baby four weeks into the pregnancy, but I was the most pregnant woman in the world during that time. How special I felt; how special my husband and I felt together with this miracle growing inside me. Then, our world was shattered by the loss of the child we dreamt of. It took me a long time to get to a place in my heart where I could talk openly about the loss and grieve for our lost child. We prayed and prayed that God would bless us again, but it didn't happen the way we expected. I did not get pregnant again. Our little girl in heaven would be age 22 now.
Then, at the age of 40, when we had all but given up on parenthood, we met a 16-year-old unwed mother at our church. She was raising her infant daughter by herself and living in a shelter. She had decided to bring this child into the world instead of taking the easier road and aborting her. God bless her for that. She and her infant daughter came to live with us for over three years, restoring the joy of having a child to our home. For that time, we were content being "Nana and Pappaw." Then, the birth mom got involved with a man who wrecked her life and caused her to have to give up her child for adoption. We did not want this to happen to her, but the Lord intervened and we were able to adopt her daughter as our own. She is now 11 years old, is a wonderful child, bright, loving, and full of life. Her birth mom left the man who caused all the trouble, and God blessed her with a wonderful husband and a son. We now have contact with her new family by telephone, and she is like a daughter to us as well. Our 11-year-old daughter is so amazing, and so much like us that it is almost frightening! God, in His infinite wisdom, will restore you, just as He restored us. Trust in Him and trust His timing. We will be praying for you as you go through this chapter in your life. I sure hope so... but, we won't
give up on them. We are season ticket holders (nose bleed section of course), but we love it. Our daughter loves them more than our son, she has not had the opportunity to go to a game yet. But one of the guys in front of us want to trade up some tickets so he can bring his family. He has two seats and we have two seats, so maybe that will work out for next season. It is a blast! Of course, my Dad was from Southeast Philly, so I grew up on 'em. I'm looking forward to the Phillies' games, too. We do not have season tickets for them, but I wish... if only.... .

I really don't think that for just a traffic ticket they would spend money to send some officer to another city to make good on a warrant, but you just never know. Depends on the judge who issued the warrant I guess. Your court records may be sealed, but I do believe the patitioner and defendent names are on a court dockett, and that is made public, though. If I remember right, it is posted by the court room door, but that is the state I live in. who knows. Either way, I wish you luck...with both your ticket and your child support issue! Think positive thoughts! :8]

you are probably right. This may be old news, but she looks preggers in realy life. She and JT married in real life and it all happened so quickly most of her castmates didn't know until afterwards.

Our neighbor had the same problem with a mixed breed with a bit of terrier mixed in. It took her a bit longer to heal, but she is now doing wonderful. Isn't is amazing how much we love our furry friends? They will love us no matter what!!!

be too severe. This country has to take a much harder look at this for so many reasons. We would love to think that everyone respects these beautiful creatures, but sadly not the case. In my local area alone the horror stories make me ill. I am going to put a post on about puppy mills the effect it had on my friend's dog.

Dentists where I am are few and far between and it's a real problem. When I lost my childhood filling there, the tooth was too far gone to be saved. Well, it could have been saved but the cost was as much as monthly mortgate and car payment combined, so it went bye-bye. I balled my eyes out for almost 2 days because it was then that I realized I would probably wind up toofless the older I got, as I had no idea how expensive dental care was. Having your own teeth should be a luxury, ya know?
You take care of yourself and it's good to "see" ya!

after the root canal I was great for 2 days - then pain hit again, radiating all over my jaw - still had no pain medicine - was ready to hit the streets!!! Needed more antibiotics and eventually and 2000.00 later I am okay. I did get some relief from the Anbesol stuff and ice packs on my face. Hope it's over soon.

But I just can't go in those anymore. We were just at the wax museum in Las Vegas and I just couldn't make myself go in the little haunted house there. My friends said it was more funny than scary. I have beeen getting more and more scared of them over the years but I made the HUGE mistake of going into that castle at Universal Studios and I didn't know it was a haunted house and I was TERRIFIED through the whole thing. I held on to my friend's ponytail the whole way. I think that was the last one I'll ever go in.

A Woman and a Fork
There was a young woman who had been diagnosed with a terminal illness and had been given three months to live. Therefore, as she was getting her things “in order”, she contacted her Pastor and had him come to her house to discuss certain aspects of her final wishes.
She told him which songs she wanted sung at the service, what scriptures she would like read, and what outfit she wanted to be buried in. Everything was in order and the Pastor was preparing to leave when the young woman suddenly remembered something very important to her.
“There’s one more thing,” she said excitedly.
“What’s that?” the Pastor’s reply.
“This is very important,” the young woman continued. “I want to be buried with a fork in my right hand.”
The Pastor stood looking at the young woman, not knowing quite what to say.
“That surprises you, doesn’t it?” the young woman asked.
“Well, to be honest, I’m puzzled by the request,” said the Pastor.
The young woman explained. “My grandmother once told me this story, and from that time on I have always tried to pass along its message to those I love and those who are in need of encouragement.
In all my years of attending socials and dinners, I always remember that when the dishes of the main course were being cleared, someone would inevitably lean over and say, ‘Keep your fork.’ It was my favorite part because I knew that something better was coming…like velvety chocolate cake or deep-dish apple pie. Something wonderful, and with substance!
So I just want people to see me there in that casket with a fork in my hand and I want them to wonder, “What’s with the fork?” Then I want you to tell them: “Keep your fork, the best is yet to come.”
The Pastor’s eyes welled up with tears of joy as he hugged the young woman and said good-bye. He knew this would be one of the last times he would see her before her death. But he also knew that the young woman had a better grasp of heaven that he did. She had a better grasp of what heaven would be like than many people twice her age, with twice as much experience and knowledge.
She KNEW that something better was coming.
At the funeral people were walking by the young woman’s casket. They saw the cloak she was wearing and the fork placed in her right hand.
Over and over, the Pastor heard the question, “What’s with the fork?” And over and over, he smiled.
During his message, the Pastor told the people of the conversation he had with the young woman shortly before she died. He also told them about the fork and about what it symbolized to her.
He told the people how he could not stop thinking about the fork and told them that they probably would not be able to stop thinking about it either. He was right. So the next time you reach down for your fork, let it remind you, ever so gently, that the best is yet to come!

Friends are a very rare jewel, indeed. They make you smile and encourage you to succeed. They lend an ear, they share a word of praise, and they always want to open their hearts to us. Show your friends how much you care. Remember to always be there for them even when you need them more. For you never know when it may be their time to “Keep their fork”. Cherish the time you have, and the memories you share…being friends with someone is not an opportunity but a sweet responsibility.

There are just many variations among Muslims as there are among Christians.
In response to one of the posters, this country is NOT a melting pot - it is a salad bar. Lots of different items lined up in the same place, but each stays in their own spot. The melting pot was a remark made a newspaper columnist about a hundred years ago - wasn't true then, isn't now.
If we were a melting pot, we wouldn't have to press 1 to get English - we'd all be speaking it.

the vet warned you that it will take a long time for your property to be free of the parvovirus now. That means no dogs can visit your house or yard unless they are up to date on their parvo vaccines. So NO puppies since I think parvo isn't complete until 3 or 4 months of age.
You could post this on your local Craigslist. That would get the word out to a lot of people in your area about this shelter. Maybe then some action will be taken.
My hope for you is that..
you will take time for yourself, realize that you are the most important person in your life and make you number one. I don't want to argue with you...as a fellow (kind of funny word to use) woman, I want you to be the best you can be and make sure others know how great you truly are!
