I have problems with FIL...sm

My husband's parents are divorced and his dad is single. Well he likes to come over occasionally and just basically make a day of it. Well I don't say anything. I figure if he wants to visit his son I have no right to say anything, but boy sometimes I wish he would leave already. He will make comments about my dogs. See I am a dog lover. I have a pit bull and a beagle in the house. Two of the biggest babies ever. So lovable. Well he doesn't like dogs so naturally if they come by him he says get your a** on. Then the other day he said don't you come over here rubbing on me you nasty mut. Then he looked at me and said why do you have such nasty *hit in your house? My dogs take baths regularly. They are house dogs who are well groomed and do not smell and have flea treatment to make sure they do not get fleas and it offends me to have someone who I didn't invite to my home and doesn't have to sit there to say something offensive about my dogs. He has went so far as to kick my dog before because it wanted to be petted. I just feel like saying hey you don't have to come over if my dogs are that much of a bother to you. Sometimes in laws can be a pain. Sometimes I just want to say look this is my house don't come over if you don't like the dogs that much that you have to comment.
