In Reply to: Do you really think that antidepressants - TM

four people in the past year, who have been taking the most prescribed anti-depressants, who either took their own lives, or came really close to doing it. the one that did not take her own life was my mother. she quit taking the medication and she began feeling better. Two of the others that DID take their own lives were between 25 and 30 years old. The last was my ex husband and he was 58 at that time. There are just too many indications pointing to SOME of these anti-depressants as being a culprit in anti-social behaviour. This has been MY personal experience with people taking anti-depressants. SOME people may actually benefit from taking them, but others do not. I think SOME doctors are too quick to prescribe these medications without seeking other factors which may be causing a persons symptoms. So in answer to your question...YES...I really think that SOME of these anti-depressants do not do any good and cause more harm than good. and did I say ANYTHING about psychiatric drugs in general?? SOME people are SO good at twisting other people's words just to start an arguement. wow yourself.
