that sounds great, with apple juice,
but would you give me some idea of temp to cook at, and how long it might take to get soft? Do you wait til its done to add cinnamon and brown sugar? God bless, and have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
pineapple chunks, cloves, and coke.

Might try hanging garlic cloves from the branches, - sm
but then again, it might just keep the people away, too!
(On the bright side, at least your tree would be free of vampires.)
Granny Smith with lots of butter, sugar and cinnamon and a dash of cloves&nutmeg.

cranberry juice or pills?
I don't know if it works on cats, but boy does it work on humans. I would think the pills (if you could get it down the throat) would work better as it would probably take a ton of the juice.

berry or fruit juice for diets sm
Heard the "free trial offer" for the acai berry (sp) on line is a farce because once you give all the info and agree to the low shipping charge, you are locked into an automatic charge to your credit card of 80 plus dollars. If you try to contact them, the phone number provided is non-operational and you are stuck. Is this berry product available in retail stores? Also, anyone find any pomegrant (sp) juice helpful and who has the best price on it? Need to lose some "winter weight" and it's not even winter yet. Kind of hard when you sit all day - I know, I know - diet and exercise! Told by my cardiologist to walk but recuperating from surgery, so not that active. TIA
Does anyone make Juice Pouch purses
I have already made one with 10 pouches, which was a bit too small and not practical for me so it ended up being a container for my daughter's hair bows. They are fun to make and neat looking so I have had my girls and the girls of dd's Girl Scouts save theirs after the meetings for me so I have lots of them now. LOL. I made 2 wallets with gift cards in them for B-day presents for my DD friend's with no problems and they were a hit. Those didn't take but 5 minutes to make. My youngest dd got invited to a B-day party this weekend and I got the bright idea to make a juice pouch gift bag. I thought I would save some money buying a gift bag and usually they don't take long to make, 30 minutes.
The problem I am having now is that the sewing needles keeps coming unthreaded and they keep breaking. I have already broken 3. I did not have that problem with the others I made but this is the first big one. I never read of that problem happening in any of the tutorials I have looked at on how to make them. I am a beginner sewer so I am thinking it could be the machine. I have adjusted the tension all kind of ways and nothing seems to work. The machine I have is a 401A Singer that my aunt gave me. It is from the 1950s. The reviews I have read on this machine have been glowing. It is said to be one of the best machines Singer ever made. However last night I was ready to chunk it and get a new one. (I don't have the money really). Does anyone know what the problem could be with the needle breaking and coming unthreaded. TIA.
Cranberry juice may work better than vitamin....

Your comment about an old HS bad apple -
made me laugh, reminds me of a guy I went to school. He used to sell T-shirts at concerts (the fake one's, not put out by the performer/band); was high most of the time; now he is a copyright attorney - talk about ironic.

And my mother-in-law makes a cherry cream and chocolate cream pie to die for. We go to my parents every year and my mother does all of the baking.
I have an Apple iPod 30 GB.....
and I friggin LOVE it! I've had it for about a year or so now. My stepson has one as well. I use mine everyday while I type for work. I bought a Bose speaker dock. I've got like 1,800+ songs on this thing and I haven't even used up 1/4 of the memory on it. I bought a cable that plugs into most new vehicles so I can listen to my iPod in my vehicle.
My brother has a Zune MP3 player. He seems to like his as well but I don't know much about that brand. I just know I love my Apple iPod and my Bose speaker. The Bose speaker sounds awesome and you can take it outside for parties, etc. I is small enough to put on my desk for work without cluttering it up. Also, when I have my iPod on the Bose speaker....it charges the battery on my iPod.
You can buy cheaper iPod docks than a Bose one, but I really like my Bose!
My son loves fruit juice with vanilla yogurt mixed in, over ice.

The Apple Does Not Fall Far From the Tree
I agree with you, Unhappy Camper -
There is little accountability in today's youth as a whole. The kids that are responsible, that know the consequences and live accordingly are the minority. Teens in the military are taught accountability and responsibility if they don't already have those attributes courtesy of their parents.
Interesting article I read in my hometown paper about an underage drinking party where over 25 kids were arrested for illegal possession of alcohol. One of the cops interviewed said out of the 25 parents that had to come and pick up their children, only one, ONE, told their child they got exactly what they deserved and that consequences would result. The others were mortified that their kids were being held, humiliated, and treated like criminals, then berated the cops for having nothing better to do, etc. We wonder why there are problems? The kids want the privileges of being an adult, but not the responsibility, thanks to mom and dad. One cop summed it up precisely. He said when he was a teen, he and his friends did not fear getting caught by the police, they were more afraid of getting caught by their parents.
As a result of such parenting, or lack thereof, it would bother me to see the drinking age lowered. If they don't hold their kids accountable, how can we by allowing the age to be lowered?
What a sour apple you are! It was new to me and probably new news to sm
others....Don't spoil it for others!
I also forgot to add that I got the Mcintosh Apple one!
I even got that one in a car jar because it smells so good!
Apple, the whole board knows you are not a fan of "religion." I have sm
read many of your posts against such. That is fine. Your life. But, the person running for this great country must stand on moral principal and the greatest form of morality and ethical value and behavior is completely written in that wonderful book I follow called the Bible.

Just had to tell you that yesterday I bought the apple cider vinegar s/m
tablets for severe unrelenting hot flashes. I felt bad all day yesterday and was hoping it was not due to the pills. I only took two because of that. Went to bed early and today I have had a total of 2 hot flashes so far and it is 12 noon. I would have literally had dozens of terrible hot flashes by now. Thanks to all of you who shared your thoughts about ACV and for the dear poster who told me it was available in pill form. I honestly think this may be my answer. I feel like a new person and pray this continues. I can't believe the improvement after taking 2 tablets yesterday! THANK YOU, THANK YOU!
I've heard of tops and also heard it is a good group.

Just heard
Very sad indeed.
Never heard of it until now....sm
it sounds like something you'd find in the south. I'm not sure if I like the sounds of it or not!
wow, never heard of it, but thanks!

I heard, so sad. I liked him.
yep, once heard it said that if you
expect nothing, you are never dissappointed, so I have learned to expect nothing, and in return, I am always surprised, which makes even the smallest of niceities someone does or says much more appreciated by me. We are to be happy givers, actually expected to give until it hurts, and not to expect anything in return, amen.
You have heard exactly what I have
over the years. I have heard so much of this I probably would swat my children out of their seats at the table if I ever heard these gross sounds. I also hate to hear yawning while dictating. Reminds me of the time I used to work outside my regular job and had a physician who was a terrible dictator in the hospital and at his office (this was a group of physicians, otherwise would not just have worked for him) and one day he dictated a letter to his bank about his account and you got it, every word was letter perfect, perfectly understandable. I think most dictators find the job of doing their reports not high on the totem pole. That is why we as transcriptionists have to put up with all this crap noise they send our way. Sneezes, snorts, eating, drawing on a cigarette (yes, years ago that 1 for me), coughing, smacking, chewing, and yes, that occasional bowel movement thing-- my mother would have killed me if I ever did this!! I learned well at her knee, still am very cognizant of others in a family/social setting.
You said if you really WANT to, well heard the
same subject on weight loss from my aunt. A lot of elderly people's appetites wane and now she talks about a person, all you have to do is push away from the table. Hmmm, sounds a lot like what you are saying. If you really want to. Ok, I am trying now- I want to be beautiful, thinner, rich, and so on and so on. Hey, I really want this so I guess it can come true, right? Like I said, lot of people just do not understand. Maybe she has a good friend somewhere that will understand.
From what I have heard,
they have great personalities. I believe that smaller dogs do need to go out more frequently for a longer period, but if you work at home, maybe this won't be such an issue.
That being said, any puppy takes a lot of time and attention, and if that is going to stress you out, say you have kids and a busy life, the puppy stage can be rough. Thank goodness puppies are soooo cute, LOL. My neighbors are working with a puppy, and unfortunately they got it at 6 weeks. They were really bleary-eyed there for a while, and thought we were really smart to get an adult dog.
Make sure you go to a good breeder. This is a good place to start:
http://www.bichon.org/breeders.htm
They are not more expensive than a "backyard" breeder who is out to make a buck. The less responsible breeders tend to give themselves away by using terms to make their line sound special, but usually mean they are outside the breed standard, or breeding for looks over health. Depending on breed, they may use words like "teacup" "giant," or even "hypoallergenic." Bichons may cause allergies for fewer people, but that doesn't help if you or a family member just happen to be allergic. So what out for such buzzwords designed to sell. A good breeder is going to have questions for you about how ready you are to take on a puppy of their breed, and they will also tell you that if at any time, for any reason, you need to get rid of the dog, call them - not a rescue, not a shelter. They will always take their dog back because they really care about the dog.
If you get one, we want to hear all the puppy (or dog) stories. :oD
Never heard of this...
but will go to Lowe's tomorrow and check it out. That might be something that works in conjunction with the other ideas.
you *heard*???? LOL.........
You *heard that AL Gore's documentary had no facts in it*? And I quote you on that.
Believe half of what you see and nothing of what you *hear* - go do your own research for crying out loud!!!
At least Gore CARES!!
Has anyone heard (sm)
how the poison got into the wheat? Last I heard it was a poison that is not used in this country.
Just heard from my son
they are finally on the bus and on their way home. We live about 1 1/2 hours from Tech. There is where my son plans on going to college. He actucally told me he loved me on the phone.
I heard that
on the local news - it is utterly unbelievable!
Um, TOM? Never heard of it.
No hits on my abbreviation site, either.
No, have not heard.
Don't remember the 1997 thing either. Well if it worked back then, I would give it a go, but I feel it is a lost battle. I hate the prices where they are. $2.77 for me at the Gas N Go in NJ. $35.00 just the other day to fill her up.
