which include one abortion, one child put up for adoption and raised 2 children. Don't ever try to tell me I don't know what it feels like to experience any of those things.

I have had 11 pregnancies have two children....sm
There really is nothing anyone can say to you to offer you comfort...the words do mean something but it is a pain unlike any other I have ever had to endure....but I do believe God has a plan for everything, though I am not able to understand it. I can still feel the pain everytime someone around me would become pregnant and I would have to put on my "happy" face for them (and I was truly happy for them) and then go home and fall into my husband's arm and cry my heart out not understanding why....most of my miscarriages were within the first trimester and there was never any reason found...hormones always checked out....it just happened. Don't blame yourself and hold tight to your husband!
My sister-in-law did just fine with her pregnancies.
First of all, congratulations! I'm no expert, but I would say just so you listen to your doctor you should be fine. My sister-in-law is morbidly obese and has had 2 very healthy, very beautiful, intelligent children. She doesn't have diabetes from her weight or any really serious health problems from it at this point, so I'm sure that helped her too. She has been thinking about getting the Lap-Band procedure too. She tried LA Weight Loss and worked her tail off but only lost about 15 pounds in the end, so the Lap-Band might be a good option for her too.
Take care and make sure to give yourself lots of pampering while you "grow" a whole human being! Congrats again and Happy Thanksgiving. :)
I was grossly obese for 2 pregnancies
and, thank God, my pregnancies were very healthy. I lost massive amounts of weight both times== with the first pregnancy that freaked the doctor out but I started off with nonstop morning sickness both tims and then I ate healthier than I ever have in my life. When I went to deliver, I was about 75 pounds lighter each time. I ate healthy and well and my babies used the rest...
My only advice would be to be incredibly vigilant about the QUALITY of food that you eat and let your doctor stay on top of your blood sugars and blood pressure just to monitor for any problems.
Let us know when that baby gets here! I'll be praying for both of you.
I don't think anybody could ever plan pregnancies and babies EVER..
but she even looks different, me & my dd were talking about that..not to mention, with all this stuff up in the air, the show just really don't seem the same. I do like watching the kids, but it's not the way it was..
