I had a lot of fun with my TS rep

My (ex) hubby and I took our 4 yo son and 2 yo daughter on the tour to get a free week in a cabin in the moutains at a lake in Virginia.  We were polite, but on the drive over, I had said something that stuck with my son.  When we got out of the car, he looked at the sales rep and asked, "is this the ?tupid tour?"  That was fun :)  By the time the tour was over and we weren't buying, he was working harder and harder, but the time we were obligated to stay to listen was up.  I lead us back out to the car and back to the sales room where I placed my changing pad, clean diaper and baby wipes on the table and proceeded to clean up a rathy messy diaper in front of the sales rep.  That ended the tour :)

Another time, we went to Orlando and did the tour to get the free breakfast and 4 tickets to Sea World.  We told the rep up front we were not going to buy - just there for the freebies.  We did the tour and at the end asked for our tickets.  It made him mad, but there wasn't anything he could do.  He even went to his manager to try to keep us from getting the tickets when he realized we were NOT going to buy.  We completed our obligations, got the tickets, and went out and had a great day!

The ?tupid tour is whatever you want to make out of it.  It is a hassle of sorts unless you decide beforehand it is not going to get to you and you are not going to cave for any reason.  We were able to vacation for about 5 years in a row when our kids were little and we had little money to spare by doing the tours.
