it was rough. I'd just been diagnosed with stones and then had the attack. I had to wait a few days before my scheduled surgery.
My surgeon told me his story. His abdominal pain started and 3 hours later, he was checked and his GB was already gangrenous. What if yours is?

Gallbladder
Well, I now have confirmation of what I suspected since November. I have gallstones.
I had a sonogram yesterday and it confirmed it.
I have an appointment with a surgeon. I am in no hurry to have another surgery, since tomorrow will be 3 weeks since my BR surgey - however, I have been trying to control the symptoms with diet since my self-diagnosis -- with limited success. The nausea seems to be getting harder and harder to prevent. When I have an attack of the "pain" --- OMG - I would give birth to 20 more kids to keep that from happening again. It is the most intense pain I have ever had.
I know this is very common surgery --- share your stories to help me decide how long I should wait.
gallbladder
easiest thing. in and out on the same day, felt really good the next day. i didn't really want it either but i couldn't take the attacks anymore.
gallbladder
I suffered nearly 10 years with a bad gallbladder and I know the pain you feel. I finally had a lap chole done last January and it was the best gift I could ever give myself. Quick recovery too. Get ur done!!
Gallbladder
I have gallstones. I found out around 11 years ago. I have just lived with it. Sometimes I have problems like a large fullness in the right upper quadrant. I can't eat popcorn or nuts without having problems. I know that eventually I will have to have my gallbladder out, but for now, I will live with it. I also have had kidney stones and had to have surgery to have them removed. Now a kidney stone attack is something I cannot ignore.
could be gallbladder symptoms too...nm

Need help with gallbladder pain, any advice?
I have been having a gallbladder attack since late last night. I took some ibuprofen last night, but that only succeeded in hurting my stomach and didn't even touch my gallbladder pain at all. I need to have my gallbladder out, but can't even afford it right now. I can't even afford my copay at the doctor's office until next payday. I put a heating pad on my side today, but now I'm trying to work and I am just miserable. I can't function if I take anything stronger than ibuprofen.
homeopathic gallbladder cures
There are some interesting cures for gallstones on the internet. One involves epsolm salts, apple juice and mineral oil. Google on home cures for gallstones. I dont remember the exact instructions but it involves lying on your left side and drinking lots of apple juice (which I like anyway).
Of course, my first recommendation would be the ER. However, I do like to at least be aware of various home cures.
Anyone else with gallbladder problems and decided not to have surgery
and symptoms you had and what did you do instead?
Could be gallbladder, maybe diabetes. Cut out the meat and fats for a few days and

What attack?
No one was attacking anyone's culture, that I could see. The OP was venting and I quite frankly agree with most of what's said on here.
I'm as liberal and open minded as anyone out there, but I have to tell you that it horked me off to no end when the housekeepers in the hotels I worked for couldn't understand me and what I was asking them to do for a guest because none of them spoke English. I had potential customers come up to the front desk to try to get a room and then have the nerve to get pissy with me when I didn't speak Spanish. Hello. I may be in New Mexico, but it's still the freaking United States.
I have worked for ESL doctors who were very aware that they had an accent and went to the trouble to spell words for me that they prounced differently. I loved those doctors. I have also worked for other ESLs who sped through it like many domestic docs do, had the phone or the recorder on the other end of the desk, and quite frankly didn't give a rat's butt if what was on the other end understood them or not. Those doctors got back exactly what they gave me - garbage.
I have to say, my sister told me that Slumdog Millionaire was a great movie. I have no desire to see it..................call me prejudiced, but I don't want to hear the accents if I don't have to.
Am I having an anxiety attack?
Okay, this has happened a few times now lately. I do have a lot of stress, but I don't think it is more than anyone else. I fell like I can't sit still, very antsy (sm), my shoulders and neck feel like they are being pulled/stretched. Sitting in this chair I have to keep rocking. It's the can't sit still that is driving me nuts. The more I try to stop it the worse it gets. Try transcribing with this. What can I do to get past it? I'm was trying to go to sleep and couldn't lie still in the bed. If I truly focus on something I can get a few minutes of peace, but it doesn't last. Can anyone help?
No attack on a zoo keeper
She didn't attack the keeper a year ago - she chewed on his arm when he was feeding her, in other words, being a tiger. She probably thought the arm was part of the food he was giving her. They changed their feeding technique after that incident.
A panic attack
can present as a heart attack, with the same initial symptoms of shortness of breath, chest pain, clammy and sweaty, irregular or rapid heart rate, etc. The first thing done at the hospital would be stat blood work and an EKG. Depending upon what these showed, then an MRI with or without contrast would be done. A mandatory 24 hour stay is required for all chest pain admissions. I've been working in a cardiopulmonary dept. as a respiratory care practitioner for 6 years and have seen this many many times. So if it makes you feel any better, he could be telling the truth about this.
Heart Attack!
Let's say it's 6.15pm and you're driving home (alone of course) after an unusually hard day on the job.
You're really tired, and frustrated……
YOU ARE REALLY STRESSED AND UPSET ….
Suddenly you start experiencing severe pain in your chest that starts to radiate out into your arm and up into your jaw.
You are only five miles from the hospital nearest your home.
Unfortunately you don't know if you'll be able to make it that far
WHAT TO DO??
YOU HAVE BEEN TRAINED IN CPR, BUT THE GUY THAT CONDUCTED THE COURSE DID NOT TELL YOU HOW TO PERFORM IT ON YOURSELF !!!
HOW TO SURVIVE A HEART ATTACK WHEN ALONE?
SINCE MANY PEOPLE ARE ALONE WHEN THEY SUFFER A HEART ATTACK, WITHOUT HELP, THE PERSON WHOSE HEART IS BEATING IMPROPERLY AND WHO BEGINS TO FEEL FAINT, HAS ONLY ABOUT 10 SECONDS LEFT BEFORE LOSING CONSCIOUS
WHAT TO DO??
ANSWER:
DO NOT PANIC, BUT START COUGHING REPEATEDLY AND VERY VIGOROUSLY.
A DEEP BREATH SHOULD BE TAKEN BEFORE EACH COUGH, THE COUGH MUST BE DEEP AND PROLONGED, AS WHEN PRODUCING SPUTUM FROM DEEP INSIDE THE CHEST.
A BREATH AND A COUGH MUST BE REPEATED ABOUT EVERY TWO SECONDS WITHOUT LET-UP UNTIL HELP ARRIVES, OR UNTIL THE HEART IS FELT TO BE BEATING NORMALLY AGAIN.
DEEP BREATHS GET OXYGEN INTO THE LUNGS AND COUGHING MOVEMENTS SQUEEZE THE HEART AND KEEP THE BLOOD CIRCULATING. THE SQUEEZING PRESSURE ON THE HEART ALSO HELPS IT REGAIN NORMAL RHYTHM. IN THIS WAY, HEART ATTACK VICTIMS CAN GET TO A HOSPITAL
ARTICLE PUBLISHED ON N.º 240 OF JOURNAL OF GENERAL HOSPITAL ROCHESTER
TELL AS MANY OTHER PEOPLE AS POSSIBLE ABOUT THIS.
IT COULD SAVE THEIR LIVES !!! DON'T EVER THINK THAT YOU ARE NOT PRONE TO HEART ATTACK AS YOUR AGE IS LESS THAN 25 OR 30. NOWADAYS DUE TO THE CHANGE IN THE
LIFE STYLE, HEARTATTACK IS FOUND AMONG PEOPLE OF ALL AGE GROUPS.
Pitbull Attack!?!?
This is a newspaper clipping from an attack that happened locally. When you read it you think to yourself "Oh my gosh! another pitbull attack" and it sounds like it is the dog's fault right? It is pretty convincing. THIS is what the public reads. What you DON'T KNOW is that the owner of this dog was training this dog to be mean, yes even with him having kids he was training the dog to be mean. And you ask how do I know this? It's because I was at the vet's office when they brought this dog in & this wasn't the first time they had a problem with this owner training dogs to be mean, and this was out of the vet's mouth himself. So because of this owner's training that he wouldn't admit to doing sadly there was a dog attack as a result and the dog had to be put down, but yet everybody will go on thinking "oh another vicious pitbull".

Is it fair to attack her parenting?
I thought Christians weren't supposed to judge. Is it because she *let* her daughter make her own decision to become atheist? I can't stand hypocrisy. It's what starts wars.

You say pits were bred to attack...sm
They were. But they were bred to attack dogs not humans. One thing the unscrupulous people who bred these dogs did right was breed them to not be human aggresssive. Because when they were in the ring with the dogs they couldn't be worried about the dogs attacking them. So they wanted a dog that wasn't aggressive towards humans. I have done research and read this to be true. That doesn't mean all pits are not human aggressive. There may be some that are but it wasn't bred into them.
Don't bash or attack me for that, but wasn't
AIDS a consequence of this 'lifestyle' or am I missing here something?
I would fake a heart attack before I put myself into that situation. Don't let me get sm
started on in-laws. I can't stand mine either. Ohh, it's bad. Hey, at least you have 1 who is a nuisance - I have 3! All DH's sisters...We are going to a friends (REAL friends) for Thanksgiving this year. My DH finally smartened up to their nonsense and really don't want to be around them either, thankfully. Good luck. My heart goes out to you because I know how you feel. There will be many on this board who will tell you to "go, put a smile on your face," and obviously they've never been where you and I have been. Good luck in whatever you do and know that you are NOT alone. I can't stand evil, hateful, jealous, condescending, rude people one bit. My life is too precious to deal with mess like that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

sounds like a menopause sneak attack
Your call on how to handle it, but it sounds hormonally motivated to me....the crying inappropriately about a child you are not raising kind of gives it away.
A heart attack and cardiac arrest are 2 ....sm
different things. Cardiac arrest simply means the heart stops. It can be caused by many things. Overdosing, mixing drugs, hearrt attack, etc. I have read a lot about Elvis' death. He had cardiac arrest BUT it was because of an overdose. The autopsy results today on MJ said his heart was okay as far as a heart condition or clogged arteries, etc. Something made his heart stop beating and sent him into cardiac arrest. I used to think cardiac arrest was the same thing as a heart attack. Upon reading into it further it is not. A heart attack could cause cardiac arrest I guess. In MJ's case, according to the medical examiner, he did not have a heart attack, per se. So now they will look into toxicology to look for drugs, etc. in his system that could have caused the cardiac arrest. You know, I read just today, Demerol when mixed with other drugs it shouldn't be mixed with can cause cardiac arrest. When they obtained a search warrant a few years back for Neverland Ranch looking for evidence for the molestation charges, they found syringes and Demerol then. I am willing to bet too many drugs sent him into cardiac arrest. :)
Just heard, Michael Jackson had heart attack?

If you think that one little hour or less of planning
These teachers don't get anything done on their planning period, because they're too busy calling parents who won't respond, trying to actually FIND a parent, talking to a student who is obviously having problems at home which is affecting their performance at school. They don't get paid to be a mentor, surrogate mom, social worker, assistance program, etc., but most good teachers do this becaue they genuinely care for their kids. That "planning period" is a joke!
8 Hour Sleep - sorry

I was out before 8:30 and spent about an hour
shopping- I do not like to shop at all and mostly this morning bought things for me, like some flannel PJs and some sweaters at the outlet store. The crowd not bad at all- only 1 ahead of me in the checkout. I shop over the net quite a bit but had received flyer and things I wanted I got.
AI was just an hour long
It may have run over by a couple of minutes or so.
$28 an hour, where do we all sign up? NM

yep for up to an hour they can still bite you- sm
there was a story on TV a few months back about some guy in the middle of no where, staying at a remote cabin for a week (was getting picked up at pre-arranged date a week after his drop off there), on day 3 or 4 killed a snake by the house by cutting off its head, and then for some foolish reason decided to pick up the head which is when he got bit. By some miracle he did not die, came darn close though, if his ride hadn't come he would have died though.
p.s. it should be a 12-hour fasting
blood test, and then done with the glucola stuff you drink...and checked more than one time. Also, things such as steroids can raise your BS readings. I would just about put money on the fact you are probably seeing a PA...but either way, read up on these things, webmd.com or American Diabetes Association... get informed. Everyone needs to be more proactive on their health.
We have a 48 hour turn on our Paps

You are kidding about paying $2 more an hour??
I find most Americans, regardless of their race, creed, religion, etc., etc. wanting to work. I have never had to worry if I hire the Mexicans here in town to work, show them what and your job is done. I have a lady who cleans (black) and I usually have to make a list and even then she wants to sit down most of the time. Have used all but found get my work done with south of the border folks.
20 miles is not far, 1/2 hour drive
if you can stay in his town, for now, and if it's better for the kids, and your first grader is comfortable with people working with him, and it's cheaper, maybe you can go visit your family regularly. A half hour is not far; people drive farther than that one way to work day.
also, it sounds like you agree there was nothing ever in common, it's okay, at least he is caring, and you can remain friends, and he is a good father. It's okay; you'll probably be happier in your own place.
It's a tradition with us! Only have a 1/2-hour ride. nm

I am in Lancaster about an hour from you. I just was down to the new Harrahs you have down there to
watch the sulky races. I have only seen them once in my life and it was pretty nice watching that. I am not much for slots but I like to watch the horses and I bet a whole $2 on them. Not much but more fun to watch when you have a favorite picked out. I never win anything but it is an inexpensive way to spend the afternoon every now and then. I have only been there once.
nothing-it was an hour of past scenes of
like eric and jessica.......borrrrrrrrrrrrrrriiiiiiiiiiiiinnnnnnnngggggggg. I watched the feeds last night on Showtime 2 and across the screen it said that earlier in the evening, the Jury house sat with Daniele and ED and asked all kinds of questions and then went into deliberation until tomorrow night....but from the feeds, you wouldn't have known that this occurred - Daniele/ED must have been instructed to not discuss that on the feeds...and they did discuss some of the things that they were not to discuss over the summer last night on the feeds.
New Smyrna is nice but it's an hour or so away
We have friends who live in Orlando and New Smyrna is their preferred beach. It's a bit of a drive; we used to drive up and get a room for the night so we could spend the whole day and not have to drive back.
Gain an hour of work.. for me and DH
Both work nights :)
Nope. That's more than an hour's work
if you ask me. And the services won't touch dishes. The one I had broke more stuff than they cleaned properly, so good luck.
And what I do is add a can of Cream of Chicken about an hour before sm
serving to give you a good, thick gravy - it combines the juices of the turkey plus the good taste of the soup. No one can ever tell how I got the gravy so thick and tasty (over home-made mashed potatoes) but the trick is that instead of flour or corn starch!
he wants your attention; take an hour and play with him

Too much - how bout once every half hour or so
Drives me insane, although things have gotten so bad here were we live (crime wise) and peoples home are being broken into while they sleep so I sleep at night and he sleeps in the day/afternoon. But when he is awake he comes out of his room every half hour or so to tell me the latest in news/events. It drives me absolutely crazy.
But it's better than it used to be. However, I do love my time when he's sleeping.
I live about an hour off the Gulf....sm

Exercise really helps. At least an hour a day. Gets those
