I had Lasik, probably around 2001

and 1 of the best things I had done. My vision before was 7 inches in front of my face, got to where glasses nor contacts were getting the job done. Really glad I did have it done- I too had sorta of a problem but finally got that straightened out and vision about 20/30.

My daughter married in 2001
She was in charge, she did it all, I bought a dress and showed up. I would not put my 2 cents in - if she had wanted she would have asked for it but her deal, her show. I got back from vacation the day before to join in the rehearsal dinner that night and the next day the wedding. When my present husband and I got married, we did it the right way, married just the 2 of us and the minister in Las Vegas.
I have 2001 Camry and it was $146 this time around (nm)

Lasik was sent from the heavens for me..
because my vision without glasses was next to a seeing eye dog- 20/400 each eye, could not see much of anything but after Lasik the eyesight is about 20/30 in both. I had that done about 5 years ago and yes I do know people who have had it and resorted back to their glasses. I was an older patient when I had the surgery and knew going into it that if I wore glasses for reading prior that I would probably need to wear afterwards, made no difference- I was not vain, just got to where I could not see the big road signs with either glasses or contacts. Even if Lasik were to fail at this point at least I have had decent vision for several years now, unlike before since a small kid.
Anyone who has had LASIK eye surgery

I'm thinking about having it done.  I'm nearsighted, in my 30s and have worn glasses regularly since about 24 or 25.  My eyesight isn't too bad without them.  I generally wear contact lenses and I'm just getting tired of the routine/expense.

So, has anyone out there had LASIK eye surgery and what was your experience?  Would you do it again?  I'd really appreciate it if you would share the cost of the procedure.  My insurance doesn't cover it.

Lasik before, cloudy vision, really bad
I have an appt to see about the eyes this week. I have had Lasik probably about 5 or 6 years ago for being nearsighted. Was told last year I had immature cataracts and the vision place asked me to return this year. Has anyone had Lasik and had to have it tweaked soon afterwards or had Lasik only to have the cataracts set in? Thank goodness I have a few hours after waking before work because if not, am sure would not be able to see the computer screen.
I had LASIK 6 years ago when I was 42. I absolutely
love it, however have had my distance eye redone 2 times and have reached the limit on that. Having touch-ups are not uncommon, but they can only do so many. Also, I had astigmatism also, so I was told that it would not keep be out glasses or contacts forever, but 6 years later (even though the distance is starting to not be as sharp) I am still not in either. It was well worth the money for me.
Has anyone had LASIK eye surgery? If so, can you share your thoughts. Thanks

Google Kathy Griffin and LASIK....sm

as I read it, Kathy Griffin had LASIK and lost 30% of her vision - go Google this - you'll find it - she had been on TV speaking about a couple of years ago........
