These are the ones I contract for. I could be out and about every single day if I took all of the jobs they assign.

Mystery shopping...Has anyone taken part in any of these jobs with a reputable company?
Mystery Shopping
How are you paid? Is it a reimbursement thing? Also, did you pay a membership fee? Thanks!
re:mystery shopping
I belonged to a few. I rarely did the shops. Some only pay like 10 or 20 dollars. Some are not fun. Many were too far away. And a lot of gas stations for some reason, for example you had to take pictures with a digital camera of the inside if they had a store, certain areas outside, the bathroom, etc. One was a vacuum shop - I don't even remember what that one entailed, didn't do it. The restaurant ones are nice, free meal for 2 usually, but of course not too many of those! Free membership for the ones I joined. Definitely not a dream job to make lots of money. Could be interesting though and get you out of the house.
Mystery shopping companies
Mystery shopping...Has anyone done any work with reputable mystery/secret shopping companies???
PS Everyone intesterested in mystery shopping. I never come sm
to this board, in fact this is my first time in months, so just know that if you have anymore questions after the one I answered below this it probably won't get answered and it's not okay to email me about this because the only email I have is used for work. Sorry!

Adam Walsh mystery solved
The guy who did it confessed on his death bed. It was the guy John Walsh always thought did it. I'm glad they will finally get some peace now cause 26 years is a long time to wait.
Check into mystery shops. I have recently sm
signed up for some. There are legit ones out there. Although the pay isn't always great, every little bit can add up. Just NEVER pay a fee to sign up, those are not legit. The legit ones are free to sign up. Like I recently signed up to inspect Exxon gas stations. The pay is only $4 but it only takes maybe 5 mins max. You have to purchase at least $1 in fuel and up to $1 instore product, which both are reimbursed, and then the $4 pay. I found 15+ stores in the same location, etc. So basically I have myself assigned to do 40 stores, 20 each day x2 days. My profit will be $160 and although I am out money for gas and the purchases those will be reimbursed so I really will clear $160 in two days as I will be getting my gas to do the shops reimbursed.
Also, Wal-mart/Sam's hires door greeters and those food sample people who cook and demonstrate with free samples. A lot of those folks are close to your husband's age.
Anybody watch Mystery Diagnosis on Discovery Health?
Amazing how people go for YEARS without the correct diagnosis or being treated for something they don't have.
We play bingo and give out mystery gifts to the winner. Very simple..
Every person who attends the party, bring 1 gift..they are all put under a little table tree and when someone wins a round of bingo, they select gift from under the tree. It can be a lot of fun if you get fun qwirky gifts. We all have a laugh at some of the gifts.
Shopping
No, no Christmas shopping here. We are Jewish so that would be kind of weird. :) Channukah a minor Jewish holiday, and celebrated quietly in our home with small gifts each night for the little one (she's 4) and the other two (15 and 17), they get one medium to large gift (i.e. ipod, dvd player.)
I'm glad I don't have to deal with all the "hoopla" that seems to surround Christmas. How do you all focus on the meaning of your holy day with all the..stuff??..that seems to go along with Christmas?
Well, not actually shopping but tell you what I have done
I am on a mission and I mean get on the train or get left behind. I have the dinner for everyone here this year. I have painted rooms, bought new furniture, had new tile put in 3 rooms, getting new counters for my kitchen, got new carpet put in master bedroom and closet, bought new China for the dinner- I started all this in January knowing full well what I wanted to accomplish. I am an Aries and believe me when I tell you, I want things done yesterday. I should have all I want accomplished by that time. I have a honey-do list for hubby- he has put off a few things but better get with the program.
No - she went shopping.
She's a shopper. :oD
But she can also wear it to a Renaissance Fair. Not sure if this is the one she goes to, but something like this.

Shopping
As a good start to ending this bad habit, maybe you could return some of the outfits that have the tags on and just keep one as that "someday" outfit.
As far as food, do you make a list when you go out shopping? Maybe you could make a budget/grocery list and do your food shopping that way. It may be easier for you to control your bad habit if you go this route.
Hope some of these ideas help you.
Do your shopping online.
I've been doing all my Xmas shopping online for 6 years now. Way better than dealing with the crowds at malls and stores.
secret shopping
Do you make pretty good money doing this? Is it worth taking the time or do you just do it for fun? I went to the website you listed and am seriously considering joining...more info would be very much appreciated...
Internet shopping
Does anyone else who works from home use the internet for most of their shopping or to surf the web during work? I had a MT service owner who complained to me that he had a hard time getting his "girls" to work since implementing the internet - that they spent their work time on QVC or HSN. I never thought about going to other sites (other than for references) while working, but apparently this is a big pull for some of us - I just can't imagine having time to shop while trying to work.
I'd take a friend shopping with you.
She can help you try new things that you might not think to. I did this for a friend and she got a bigger reaction than the bride, LOL. Okay, that's because she'd lost 100 lbs, but everybody was excited about the dress we chose. She hadn't lost all her weight yet, and she might have rejected the dress just because a back slit showed her calves, which looked wonderful, but she didn't know it. Then we picked out jewelry. A salesman was also very helpful. She was stunning and it was so much fun.
Well, I have a large shopping bag (sm)
hanging in the spare room closet and have about 4-5 little stocking stuffers already purchased and in there. Does that count?
Going to shopping at IKEA
so we can start organizing my daughter's unbelievably messy room
Mattress shopping
Anyone have an opinion? Pillow top? Memory foam? I currently have moderately priced pillow top that I bought last winter that just goes on top of the mattress. I have been able to fluff it up until just recently, but there doesn't seem to be any more fluffing to be done.
Mattress shopping
Hi, had a pillow top (trying to give away, are you close) and husband hated it. I liked the snuggling sensation but he just complained and complained. Finally had to shut him up and bought a standard mattress. UGH Kept the mattress in a latex wrap the entire time, it is looking for a new home before going to the dump.
Christmas Shopping
If anyone here is interested in some fun Christmas shopping with an MT who has a store on eBay, please use this web address to go right to my ebay store: sallyglamourgirl.com
If you buy anything from me either in the store or at regular auction and let me know you're from this board I'll give you 15% off! Happy Holidays! Love being an MT for over 13 years, but also love eBay:):):)
Agree! Won't see me shopping on any Fri. or Sat. until after

Has anyone gone shopping yet today?
It is 8:00 a.m. EST and I have not yet attempted to even go shopping. I usually love the day after Thanksgiving. But I don't really even feel like going... Maybe it is that we have less money this year with the price of gas going up. Maybe I ate too much turkey... I really do want to get that "excitement" of looking forward to this crazy Black Friday, but all I feel like doing is cleaning the house. Anybody else feel like this? And if you are having a great time today, please explain so I can get some of that Holiday spirit! Thanks in advance.
No shopping today
However I did notice the malls are opening at 4:00 a.m. (??) and I think my daughter is going. I don't intend to go anywhere near there this weekend! Probably just to to the movies and chill out at home with my dog! (and try to get over eating too much 7 layer salad on Thanksgiving!)
NYC. Best shopping in the world.
nn
Tax free shopping
Thanks for the information. I haven't checked yet to see if NY is included, but I know we do have them every year. We usually go, we have what I think is a higher tax than most states. I know the poster below equated it to shopping the day after Thanksgiving, but I love it. I find it challenging and for me it's the start of Christmas shopping for the family.
Thank you - we will be out shopping this weekend - nm
.
But if I go shopping after eating,
I'm full, nothing sounds good, and I end up with no food!
holiday shopping
Did anyone see on the news the WalMart employee trampled to death by the mob storming the place when the doors opened? What a sad commentary that is on society. I will be saying a prayer for this person's family.
Speaking of shopping........
Anyone remember how the old stores were when there were 'Main Streets'? Remember the wood floors and the merchandise in wooden bins on tables? Remember the cookies and candy they sold that was all encased in glass? No escalators, and only the best stores had elevators? Elevators with a man asking 'what floor'?, elevators that creaked and had criss cross bars across the front, instead of doors that closed? Evening in Paris perfume for our mom's at Christmas, Old Spice or hankies with his initial on them for dad? Remember when all you could use was cash? And of course, those wonderful lunch counters? I remember one of them sold sardine sandwiches! Anyone remember?
Shopping at Walmart
We shop at Walmart every week. Everything is much cheaper there and as the other poster said, I go there to save money. Our store is clean and the people are friendly. There is a Target directly across the street from our Walmart and there is hardly ever anyone there and the Walmart parking lot is mobbed.
went out shopping before I realized
I had two different shoes on - one tan, one black. What to do?
went out shopping before I realized
I had two different shoes on - one tan, one black. What to do? But my friend has a worse one. After going to the ladies room her skirt got stuck up into her panty hose so everything was showing in the back. She was out on a street when a guy in a pickup truck alerted her to the mishap.

Anyone started their Xmas shopping yet?
I was at the mall last night and noticed how every store already has their Christmas decorations up. I hate the Christmas season and love it at the same time. I love the beauty of it and hate the commercialism and stressing about what to buy as gifts. Besides, my kids have everything they could possibly need anyway !
Tip for day after Thanksgiving shopping deals....sm
check stores on-line as a lot of them are having on-line specials that are as good if not better than in their stores. For example, I bought a 32 inch LCD TV with dual tuner, extended warranty for 2 years, free shipping and grand total with tax of $717 - on-line offer only, on a major chain's website. Happy shopping!
What is your cell phone co.? I'm shopping around sm
Our family uses TracFone. My daughter is trying to convince me to go to something different. I need to keep costs down, but would like any info on something that includes texting and some free anytime calls. What are your experiences and what does it cost you a month for a family plan? Thanks.
grocery shopping with kids
I used to go to the frozen food section first, grab a box of popsicles and give them each one. It kept them happy and more importantly kept them from screaming because they had to eat those popsicles fast before they melted!
Nope, the shopping can bring you down if (sm)
you go to the wrong place and the people are grumpy.
I normally kind of like to see the people out and feel like I'm participating in something big, I don't get married to the idea of getting a lot of stuff, and today I was glad I didn't, because I got up and went to Kohl's (5 mins from my house) to get an item I saw in the flyer and couldn't find it! Searched all over the store. Then I realized the checkout lines were by this time all the way to the back of the store and I thought, eh, heck with it, and went back home!
I did try to smile at the other folks I saw, and I tried to think of just being out in the nice clear cold morning for a change as I'm not typically a willing early riser. Got to see the morning star and all that.
Hope you're able to find your happy place today!
I did black Friday shopping ONCE and never again.
I had three young kids in tow, which was my first mistake. It was OK. We did have fun with all the little freebies and eating breakfast out. However, the crowds and rudeness just ticked me off. The stores are always out of the good deals by the time we get there. The rest of the deals are no better than I can find any other day. And the people shoving each other around just to get something free, which most of the stores don't give nice freebies any more anyway. We usually never have money at Thanksgiving either.
It's snowing here today, so I'm in homebody cleaning mode, too. I've got a fridge full of leftovers from turkey day. The kids are playing board games and DH is puttering around the house. They're playing Christmas music on the stereo. I've got plenty of extra work I'm doing to earn money for Christmas. Yes, it's a good day to be home.
Actually going house shopping on Sunday
Buying a new house!
Copying to shopping list...
Especially this first one, Beef & Cheese Lasagna. I'm sure I'll be using the 'leftovers' as well, but when I read this one, I was really sorry I didn't have more time and all the ingredients. Thanks for this one!
I like to get my Christmas shopping done early.
So, I am happy to see it out early.
How terrible that you would feel that way -- Halloween wasn't out yet (which is not an ongoing gift-giving, love-based holiday) and you are irritated over that while Christmas was.
Shaking my head over that.
Early X-mas shopping at walmart.com..sm
Does anyone know if the specials that Walmart offers on black Friday in the stores are also available online? I am working Friday and I do not want to go to Walmart at 5 am just for 3 or 4 items, but on at least one item I would save 30 bucks. I do not want to over extend myself by getting up and going to Walmart and then coming back home trying to get in the work mode. I am usually so frustrated by the crowds and disrespectful people that I am irritatated when I return home.
Black Friday Shopping
My husband got up really early and went to Target. He said it wasn't bad at all. He got my daughter two seasons of House on DVD and got my other daughter one of those Crayola Light Up Boards, all were on sale. Then we went out at about 9:00. We went to Kohl's, and the line, literally went around the whole store! Needless to say we didn't need anything that badly (I bet the wait was 4 hours, no kidding). Then we went to Target again and looked around (actually not very busy at all). Then we went to the Mall and got a slew of Twilight stuff for my oldest daugter and picked a few other things for my oldest. Then we ate lunch went to Walmart and just got home about 3:00. Now my husband is finishing up the Christmas decorations outside and tomorrow is tree day. I love shopping on Black Friday. And with the exception of Kohl's are wait was 5 minutes or less.
