would look fishy, but I am fairly certain they didn't do it on purpose. Their carpeting isn't that old at all. I don't know, how else would you fix carpeting with a bleach stain when it is wall to wall, besides replacing it, KWIM? Maybe I should warn them about the possibility that it may raise their insurance premium if they go through with the claim. I guess they could ask about that. They already have crazy auto insurance premiums due to car accidents.
