your kitty are going through this. It is definitely harder on you. I remember reading about someone whose dog was going through this. So sad. German shepherd it was.

If she is foaming at the mouth with distress, that does seem pretty clear what her feelings are about pills. I do remember reading about a cat that would not allow a pill to be put down, but yet would take it from the owner's hand herself if told to take her pill. She had to take it every day for years, and did so as long as she was allowed to pick it up and take it herself.

With my cats I became quite adept at placing my hand over the top of the head, just like the vet did, and hinging the head up. The lower jaw would pop open and I had control because I was holding the head so securely. Made it quite civilized for me once I learned that technique.

Again, I'm very sorry. You are the momma, and will know the right thing to do for your beloved cat. It's just a very sad time for a pet lover when the end draws near, always much too shockingly soon.
