sometimes I just can't stand this anymore. Two armed robberies took place in our area this morning. High speed car chase, the back window of the vehicle with the robbers was shot out and a police officer was shot. Another police officer collided with another vehilce during the chase sending both the officer and driver to the hospital. They found the empty vehicle right near a college and several schools. Just got a text from my son (not even supposed to carry his phone in school) that their school is now on lockdown. I know he and my daughter are safe but I can't help but just watch the local news so see any new updates. My son was at VA Tech on a high school field trip in Apr. 16 and in the beginnig very little was on the news but after an hour or so of watching we found out just how horrible it really was. Just need a little support from all my Gab Board friends right now. Thanks!

Well, I AM an overprotective mom...
and I know you must be feeling really afraid right now. At least you have heard from your son and you know he is alright. The not supposed to have cell phones in school policy really chaps me! Anyway, I will be thinking about you and your family. Just try to relax - it will all work out okay.
