side effects are really my only concerns. I will have to look into it before making a decision of course. You are right about old diseases coming back though, very dangerous for people not to immunize their kids again polio, small pox, etc. Lots of whooping cough around here. While my daughter was in chemo and while she had her port-a-cath in place I had to have her school inform me if anyone came down with chickenpox as it would have had a horrible affect on her (especially during chemo) and would have landed her in the hospital even though she has been vacinnatted herself. Luckily I did not have to deal with that, though kids this year at her school have had it (her port is out now so it is safe now). But it could have been one more worry that I did not have to deal with if everyone immunized their kids for chickenpox. Every person in chemo has this hanging over their head, it's not like they don't have enough to worry about as it is. ---Now I know some people do not immunize due to religious regions and can get exemptions from them, but there is a lot of red tape to do so (a friend of mine did this) presuming your state allows this. ---I guess it is time to look into the ramifications of this vaccine though and make an informed decision.
