I was told it is a Weight Watcher's recipte.
one box spice cake mix
one small can (not the large can) pumpkin mix
half cup water
I made them for dinner last night (and breakfast this morning too) and my very picky family absolutely loved them and how simple is that. Just mix the three together. I used a mini muffin pan. The are the most moist muffins I have ever had. Hope you enjoy and, again, they aren't too bad for you either.

Would have a really good recipe for pumpkin spice latte?

Does anyone know how many points this is on WW?
Pumpkin Spice Latte from Starbucks.

I use Pumpkin Spice Torani syrup also purchased at (sm)
Cash N Carry - I have a pump on the bottle and put a couple of squirts in - I only like light flavored pumpkin - but you could adjust depending on your preference. I put it in the milk before heating otherwise it cools it down too quickly. Great - now you are making me crave one too!! :)
Lookin' for a savory dinner-in-a-pumpkin recipe or a sweet one like the other one

Someone posted a recipe for baking chicken in bbq sauce and Italian dressing... SM
Does anyone have that recipe? I am making chicken tonight and need something that I can throw together and stick in the oven while I'm working. I haven't cooked in a couple of days and the natives are getting restless for a home cooked meal!
Must've posted wrong.
ss
Oh sorry I just saw you posted you've had mono....nm

Absolutely. I've known from age 9 (having grown up in --
a large family and the pandemonium that can be), that I wanted a quieter life than that. I like KIDS, but have never much cared for infants. They make me way too nervous. All that screaming they do overrides my Prozac level, and brings on homicidal thoughts. ;D
Canned pumpkin - not pumpkin pie filling but sm
take your mix, add 1 can (i think 15 oz?) and one cup of water. Mix and bake as usual. This is an old Weight Watchers friendly recipe and is about 100 calories per serving, high in fiber and DELICIOUS. Make great cup cakes too.

Scrapple and eggs, hashbrowns, muffins, bagels and toast.
Yum!
Just throw in some spice-like Hot Sauce....BAM it!
Everything nice...as in Sugar and Spice and...! good luck!

Yum - pumpkin . . .
Thanks for posting this. I'm going to try it, as I am always looking for recipes without eggs - my son is allergic to them. Recipes with pumpkin always seem to turn out the best and as you said - very moist.
Pumpkin pie
I was at the store the other day and they were baking pumpkin pies. It smelled sooo good. I've been dreaming about it ever since. If I make one I'll have to eat it by myself because no one else in the family likes them.
I love this time of year! It's cold outside, beef stew with corn muffins, football, pumpkin pie, the fireplace turned on. Just love it!
stuffed pumpkin
Anyone have a good recipe for stuffed pumpkin or anything that would go well with that type of menu? Stuck!
Thanks! I have one too for a pumpkin cheesecake.
I have tried many and this is the one my family begs me to bring for the holidays. It is the best! I use a little more cinnamon and nutmeg than recipe calls for.
INGREDIENTS:
2 8 oz. packages (16 oz. total) cream cheese, softened
3/4 cup pumpkin purée
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
2 large eggs
1 9-inch graham cracker pie crust
PREPARATION:
Combine cream cheese, pumpkin, sugar, vanilla, and spices; mix with a hand mixer at medium speed until well blended. Add eggs; mix until blended. Pour into graham cracker crust. Bake at 350° F for 35 to 45 minutes, or until set. Cool. Refrigerate at least 3 hours, or overnight.
Serve with whipped topping.
This recipe is not over the top sweet so the whipped topping really compliments it perfectly.
You have to try it!
Pumpkin disappoinment
...Know how you feel. I too got very excited and committed this year to doing an organic garden. I had my husband make me three raised beds, bought tons of organic soil, organic seeds for pumpkins, squashes, cucumbers, tomatoes, carrots, you name it. I first read all the how to books on organic gardening. Everything was coming up beautifully - thick green vines for the pumpkins. Then in a flash, everything kind of shirveled up, got weird looking, and I wanted to cry. Turns out after much research on the net I find I had a destructive bug that infected all the squashes and pumpkins with bacterial wilt. I tried to save everything, but looks like I will only have two to four pumpkins this first year. What did I learn? I neglected to look up all the things that could go wrong - infectious virus, animals, bugs, sudden hot temperature, all the stuff that was not in the books I had bought. Now I am better armed, and next year, I will be well prepared for what can go wrong. Oh, there is a book you can buy on Amazon.com called How to Grow Pumpkins, and that book has everything. Don't give up, keep trying for next year. I know what you mean about spending a fortune to buy pumpkins. I do the same thing each year and had hoped I could save myself some money.

lol gotta have that pumpkin pie!
that's great that your niece is doing that. I'm sure everyone will tell her how perfect they are, even if they are terrible. lol My 10yo "made" the pies this year. I just supervised. I was quite surprised he wanted to help. He was hesitant on making the pie crust and kept wanting me to finish it for him but I stood ground and told him he couldn't possible mess it up and that I wouldn't have given him the option if I thought he would fail. He's very proud of the pies now that they are done. Even said he'd like to try the pumpkin this year! I dont' think he's ever had a bite of pumpkin before.
Pumpkin and apple pie
And my mother-in-law makes a cherry cream and chocolate cream pie to die for. We go to my parents every year and my mother does all of the baking.

My pumpkins are gone! I planted 4 pumpkin seeds in March sm
which grew up really nice and started to grow out like vines - got pretty white flowers in them which means the pumpkins would be coming out in a few weeks.
I haven't checked up on them all week because we've had plenty of rain so I haven't had to water them. I go today with my big bucket of water and there was only dirt left with holes. They dug them up and ate EVERYTHING - the stalks, flowers, everything! I am really upset.
I have 3 boys - 2 little ones, and we live in the country. Every year I spend about 80.00 on pumpkins decorating our porch, land, etc with pumpkins. I though I'd be a little more economical and plant seeds in the spring which cost a dollar so that I could have nice, ripe pumpkins, as many as I wanted - for the fall.
I'm thinking rabbits got them. We have indoor cat/dog so it wasn't my animals. I'm not sure what to do next spring. I'm not giving up. How can I keep animals from getting to them like that???
I want to cry.......I've been going out into the field and watching them grow..they were my babies..

6 pumpkin pies, 2 vinegar pies and a chocolate chiffon pie sm
So now that I have caught your attention...just what is a vinegar pie, you ask.
In the south, they are referred to as transparent pie. You will sometimes hear it called sweet and sour pie. It is good real cider vinegar, the kind with the mother at the bottom, brown sugar, white sugar, butter and eggs, a bit of flour. It is like water when you put in the shell. You bake it for an hour and it comes out about like the goo in a pecan pie with no nuts. It is not sour a bit, nor is it sickly sweet. It is sweet with a bit of an apple bite. The kids love it and when younger son is home for the holidays, he will devour one of them at a sitting. He literally comes in and sees the vinegar pie, takes one and says: So...what is everyone else having? The other son won't eat pumpkin or vinegar, so he has the chocolate chiffon. The rest of us are pumpkin eaters.
I posted on this before regarding
confronting parents about their children. This was exactly what I was talking about, the mother took up for her child (as most do now days regardless)and I, for 1, would not anticipate with love, praising, letting him work for you, etc., etc. that this will change him at all. You know what you faced with his mother and I would put some distance between my child and him. When raising my children, if a parent came to me telling me my child had done something wrong, you better believe I would listen and probably believe that person BEFORE my child. The reason is, most times parents are not going to take their time to come and face you directly about a child's behavior. I never ever thought just because they were my children, they were always in the right, never but times have changed. I would not confront, I would not try to change, I would distance.

I have posted this before but not sure if sm
it was this board. I remember the first time Nu-Victoria saw JT when she returned from Italy. It was at the hospital when Brittany's baby was being kidnapped. I saw the sparks flying when she said his name. I thought then they should get together.
I posted this further down sm
Kristen Rose, my daughter's name. My mother, my daughter, and I all share the same middle name "Rose" and my daughter has already said she wants to carry on the tradition. I would like to add my 2 cents about different spellings. It seems that so many people want to change the original spelling of a name just to be different. My name was spelled wrong on my birth certificate "Tereasa" and my mother left it that way. You can never find anything personalized spelled that way. It was always spelled wrong in yearbooks, programs for ballgames, etc. My mother typed my wedding announcement and when the newspaper recieved it they called to see if the spelling was correct. I find it a big hassel. JMO
at least I think it's you they posted to...LOL..nm
I posted below sm
and the read the above post. I agree with most everything but you can certainly work with the child if he will be confused about the name change. Our situation did involve adoption, my little (step)brother was 5 when my father adopted him. Becuase the adoption was not final when he started kindergarten he was taught how to spell and write his original name for the first 4 weeks of school and then it changed. Due to the fact that he never had a father figure and he always wanted a big family (instant older sister and brother) he had no problem with the name change. Depends on so many factors. I feel you will make the right decision for you and your child or else you wouldn't care enough to get other opinsions. Good Luck.
Posted this a while ago and..
only got a couple of responses which were regarding his name and how he should change it. Get past the name and take a look at the clip.
Yes the man has an incredible voice, but it is humbleness and the Cinderella story that brings tears.

that I also bought my dogs from a petstore and that I had no idea how horrible the puppy mills were at the time. I just held one of my dogs today and cried thinking about his mother. I won't even buy bird food (I have 2 birds) from a pet store. My son watched the show with me and did ask where can the pet stores get their dogs from. I honestly don't know. Can they go to private breeders? Sorry if I seem dumb, it truely is ignorance on my part, just like my ignorance about puppy mills until recently.

How I posted the pic ......... (sm)
I WANT to see 'Tornado Alley' desks! hahahahaha!
I found posting a pic to be really easy. (The photo will work best if it's in jpg. format). (In order to get these instructions right, I've posted a photo I took in Santa Fe recently.)
Assuming you've already taken a pic of your desk, and it's saved in a photo file on your computer, just:
1) After the 'Post Image' box below the subject box of your post on MT Stars, click on 'Click here to Upload Image!'
2) When the next window comes up, click on the 'Browse' button to bring up a list of your computer files.
3) Find your photo (for example, to find mine, I click on Documents, then My Pictures, and then the photo).
4) Click on the photo you've selected, the the name of it will appear in the 'Select Image' box. Click on 'Open'.
5) Click on 'Submit'.
6) The picture will appear, and then click on 'Continue', which should bring you back to the text of your post. Then go ahead and post as usual.
Hope that helps. Show us that MESSY DESK! ;D
That's why I posted
There are girls who are getting sick from this. All I would like is for everyone to research this thoroughly before doing it, and please don't only read the docs articles. Of course they are going to say everyone should have it. Guess who pays them bonuses.
As for the lady who said in GA its required. I'd move out of that state before I let the government tell me what I should or should not have done medically.
Please just don't buy into the hype of it and question, question, question before thinking about it.
PS: (Im the one who posted below that she's
surprise to hear from her this morning that she's coming out to California for the rest of the weekend! Looks like just for once, I'm having a good-kharma day!
Yes, I am the one that posted
about this weeks ago. This cat is a beautiful calico. I need to take a picture of it and upload it sometimes.
