SNAKES!!!
Yikes...Just found a snake in our basement family room area...Had two of the same kind last year and now this one, I think it is a nonpoisonous baby milk snake, about 4 inches long... according to our State Snake Website... I just don't know how they are getting inside and now it's really freakin me out... 
How do you get snakes out of your house
Now that the summer is here our kitty is such a wonderful gift giver. We have these little garden snakes and twice she has brought one inside for us. (The second one we didn't see until about an hour after we closed up everything - makes me feel real comfortable). Anyway...just little garden snakes (nothing like a boa) :-), but we had a hard time getting it out as it was quick moving and we didn't know if they bite if you picked up the wrong end (ever try and grab a snake right behind the head as they are moving across the kitchen floor real fast heading for the living room. So....anyone have any suggesting for an easy way to catch a snake to let him back outside (of course once we have put kitty in the back room so she doesn't try to "help" us) :-)

I will tell you how its done, but you should be very very careful doing this because just when you think its a tiny harmless garden snake you could be very wrong! I don't know exactly how long you are talking about, but you need to find some sort of stick, maybe handle of a duster or something of that sort. It should be the appropriate length so that if you were to grab the snake by the tip of its tail with one hand (non-dominant) you could support the snake (again depending on the length, you dont want it right behind its head but a little farther down the back)as far away from your body as possible while you carry it out. If the snake ever wiggles off of the end of the stick thats okay, just dont drop its tail because you will have to go through catching it again. Hope that helps! Ha! It was raining snakes at my house a few years ago
It freaked me out. We have an underground house and somehow mama snake got into the ceiling and had a mess of babies. They found a space to crawl through when they were exploring the ceiling and would fall on our living space floor. I called around and found out they were harmless ringneck snakes, and since my cousin married a "reptile man", I asked him if he wanted them because he educated children in schools with his reptiles.
He took them and I got a few bucks for my trouble; i.e., chasing and catching them. A month later, there was a new roof on the place. 
I think they should go to school naked and hump in the halls.
The school nurse can observe, instruct them in the correct technique and hand out condoms.

88 yr old Woman Fights Off Naked Home Invader
TROUTDALE, Ore. -- A naked man fled the home he broke into Tuesday morning after the woman who lives there attacked his genitals, police said.
Officers arrested Michael D!ck, 46, of Gresham, on charges of burglary, harassment and private indecency.
Officials with the Multnomah County Sheriff's Office said D!ck, who was completely naked, entered the house through an unlocked sliding door at about 6:30 a.m. and pushed the 88-year-old woman face-first into a chair.
The victim was definitely shaken up, but luckily she is OK and unharmed. She said an old news story she saw years ago helped her defend herself.
She said she was picking up some logs for her wood stove, when all of a sudden a completely naked stranger walked in through her sliding glass door.
“I thought it was somebody I knew, but then seeing him without clothing, you know, it’s nobody I knew,” Jennifer said.
Jennifer said the man didn’t say a word. He just followed her around the room and kept pushing himself against her.
Police said he shoved her face-first into a chair, but before he could make another move, she fought back.
“I kept saying, 'No, no, no!' And then I said, 'Holy mother!' And then I said, 'God.' And then he stopped and that’s when I reached around and grabbed him,” Jennifer said.
In that moment, she said she flashed back to an old news story about a woman facing a similar intruder. She remembered that woman survived by grabbing the man’s testicles.
The man tore free, ran out the door, jumped in his car and drove away, deputies said.
Last time I was in SF, there was NAKED biking group parading down the road. Now THAT was educational
