Fan addict!
I too have to sleep with a fan! Been told the ringing is because I take too much Excedrin migraine....wonder why! Believe it or not I listen to all my dictation without my head phones! I'm in the house all day long by myself so no one else can hear it. I diagnosed myself that it was because I had those crazy head phones in my ears all day! It has helped some, but can't sleep w/o my fan still!
Lost Addict
I'm thinking "call my father" is either a drug haze that Jack was in, OR he came back to life on the island. He did see his father standing on the beach not long after the plane crashed in season #1. At the time, I thought it was a hallucination. Maybe not? It seems that the island has the power to bring people back to life at times. The one-eyed guy came back -- or was he not really dead?
Whose funeral was it? Hmmm. Ben's? It was someone that Kate and Jack knew. Sawyer's? Someone that we haven't met on the island yet? How 'bout Jacob?
Ooooo! It's such a long time to wait, and so many possible answers to too many questions!
I am a recovering alcoholic. Went
to treatment in 1982. Believe me when I say no one admits to alcoholism unless they have a problem. It is a disease of denial, and some deny it all the way to the grave. The first step in recovery is admitting we are powerless over alcohol. Not only is the alcoholic sick, but the whole family because a lot of the time, the family enables the alcoholic to keep on drinking by denying it themselves. Al-Anon and Alcoholics Anonymous can help a lot. In AA, the alcoholic learns how to live sober and learns what to do to change his life, habits, friends, etc. Al-Anon teaches the family how to change what they have been doing. I hope you don't think I am preaching, but I know how it is because I have been there. I do know that if I ever drink again, I won't live because the disease progresses whether we are drinking or not..
Being married to a recovering
alcoholic (he was an active alcoholic for 15 of the 30 years we've been married), 1 drink is too many in my book. JMO
Not weird, but collecting addict nonetheless..
In my office is a huge collection of NASCAR stuff. For the rest of the house, I collect village houses from Dept 56 and Lemax.
Very serious. I live with my husband who is a recovering
alcholic. It was not pleasant when he was drinking. Yeah, I know I could have left, but I chose not to. Had he never taken that first drink he wouldn't have become an alcoholic. I know that not everyone who drinks becomes an alcoholic, so please, nobody flame me. It's just a chance you take when you pick up the first drink. I personally wish they would outlaw any kind of alcohol whatsoever. JMO.
My husband is a recovering alcoholic. He. too,
held a full-time job, did all the *things* he was supposed to do but came home EVERY night and consumed anywhere from a pint to a quart of liquor (first bourbon and later vodka). He knew he was an alcoholic and would tell you so. One day after months of feeling like crap all the time, he decided it was time to quit. His doctor admitted him to the hospital. He is 6 feet tall and weighed 122 pounds. They kept him for about 3 days and detoxed him. He came home and had a rough few weeks. Thankfully, though, he has been sober now for 15 months. Please encourage your husband to get the help that he needs. My prayers are with you.
Woke up in another house????? (sm)
How in the world do you think that happened? Did you ever figure it out or have a good guess??
Wow great idea, I am doing this for my next birthday LOL - icecream addict
Hey, you described how I woke up this morning precisely!
My throat felt a little scratchy yesterday and I wondered if it was allergies. But today it is full-blown cold sxs. I was supposed to go out and about today, but I have been relegated to sitting like a zombie in front of the computer. At least I have made a little $ while doing so.
Among my friends and their kids, much worse stuff has been going around and I never caught it. I guess I should feel fortunate that *ALL* I have is this.
son woke up with bumps on his forehead
my 5 year old son has been awake for about an hour...he came to me and said his brother hit him and in addressing this issue I noticed he has a fine rash all over his forehead, on part of his right eye and down to the temple area, not going past the eye area itself. they are only flesh colored bumps, looks kind of like acne that does not erupt, is not red or itchy. What in the world could this be? I have not done anything out of the ordinary, no new shampoos or detergents. anybody got an idea?
I agree. My mother is a drug addict and lost custody of me
and I went to live with my grandmother so both of them have less than stellar parenting skills. You can't choose your family but you can choose who you let into your life.
Evidently, she was just recovering from pneumonia and had been hospitalized, so that might explain w

Luv the snow here. Woke up to "no school"
which was great since my son did not get home last night from a drama competition until after 2:00. My dog barks at the snow falling from the trees, cute at first but then goes on and on and on. Snow really gets me in the holiday spirit. Joy To The World!!!!!
Any tips for post rotator cuff surgery? Recovering

Have had a cough for a week - woke up last night w severe arm pain, all the way down
I have been coughing and kind of achy, yesterday hurt all over, no fever, but in the middle of the night last night, woke up with horrible pain, to the point of making me cry all the way from my shoulder to the joints in my hands. Both shoulder joints are sore, but the right arm hurts all the way down. I have taken Advil, used muscle rub and am working with my arm propped on a pillow. Anyone ever had this happen? Wondering if it is just muscle pain from being sick or if I got something out of whack in my cervical spine from all the coughing!! This stinks!!!
I woke up this morning to my husband telling me that we are expected to see snow today. sm
I got up and said, "what??" And there it was - on the news. In the little left hand corner of the t.v. is a sight I've never seen since living here (over 10 years). Our area covered in white!!! We are in the deep south, 2 hours north of the FL border. The forecaster says it's gonna snow today!!! It's been raining all morning, a very cold rain, but apparently there is a system coming our way and it will change to snow in the afternoon! I can't believe it. I've been planning trip after trip to take the boys (I have 3 small ones) to see snow. They've only seen snow on Nickoledeon. My 5 year old doesn't even own a winter coat, only pullovers, etc. I've been digging in the closet looking for matching gloves and made sure there are plenty of batteries in the camera (it's run dead before during a major event). Can y you tell how excited I am? I can't believe it.
I've been praying for this and asking God for it to snow. He knew my heart! Every trip I've planned to go and take my kids to see snow hasn't worked out for one reason or another. Maybe this is why......I really hope the weatherman is right.....I'm so excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!
