Hydrangea loves partial or full shade and so do azaleas, although they will take a little more sun than hydrangeas.

Need to know about the hydrangeas
I have transplanted some from another property and have them planted without shade, in full sun. I babied them through the winter and they are really looking great so far, greening up and such. Have I done the wrong thing about planting them where there is no shade? I would definitely replant in another section of my yard if this is the case. Thanks.
I love hydrangeas too. (sm)
I have 2 in blue, but I they are not located well, so one has had no blooms and the other will get maybe 5. This spring I did cut try to thin the tree canopy to let a little more light in, so we shall see. They are still recovering from that cold snap since I didn't think to cover them. I did cover my front garden, including the plumbago.
Just 1 more question about the hydrangeas
Do you break off the dead stalks that collect over the winter months? Pretty and green at the bottom but the stalks are all brittle and dead. Does it matter if you do or don’t?
Love hydrangeas, but my problems is too much shade.
I'm in NC, and what they like best here is dappled shade and plenty of moisture. I have Nikko blue, but Endless Summer is a great newer one.

I can get into it, but I don't have it on favorites either
try changing that. It is still there. I believe the last post on it was 11-01.
She's one of my favorites also.
I think she sings well. Definitely in my top 3 or 4.
One of my favorites. nm

My favorites are
The Waltons, Little House on the Prairie, The Soup, Ace of Cakes, Diners Drive-Ins and Dives. (ok- pretty boring here) but they are relaxing shows to me.
I have 2 favorites for the
Pork BBQ:
3 lb boneless pork roast
1 large can/bottle tomato juice
6 oz worcestershire sauce
1 large onion, cut up (doesn't have to be chopped)
3 tablespoons sugar
3 tablespoons vinegar (white)
salt & pepper to taste
Place pork roast in crock pot. Pour tomato juice over roast. Add remaining ingredients, stir, cook on high for 4-5 hours. The meat falls apart, but you may need to shred. Turn to low until ready to eat. Delicious
Pot Roast:
3 lb beef roast
1 onion cut up
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 can beef broth
3-4 beef boullion cubes
2-3 bay leaves
garlic salt and pepper
Sprinkle roast with garlic salt and pepper on all sides; place in crock pot. Spread soup over top of roast. Add onion and bay leaf to pot. Add beef broth and boullion cubes. Add enough water to just cover ingredients. Cook on high 4-5 hours or low 6-8 hours. Meat is real tender and falls apart.
I usually serve over rice or noodles. Makes delicious hot open-face roastbeef sandwiches too.
Kambrya is one of my favorites.

My favorites are the vintage..
I still think the commercials from the 50s and 60s are the best. I love Speedy from the Alka Selzer commercials and the old Halo shampoo commercials. Everyone used to sing and whistle the tunes from the commercials - no one does that nowadays.
Plop, plop, fizz, fizz, oh what a relief it is.
Also loved the "I can't believe I ate the whole thing" commercial where the guy is up in the middle of night taking an Alka-Seltzer - people had a lot of fun discussing what the whole thing was that he ate.
I'm old.

Lilly
what are your Thanksgiving favorites that would
never make it to Martha Stewart's table. My daughter loves my ex-MIL's strawberry pretzel jello! Not haute cuisine!
I saved this in my Favorites.

Ok since we are talking favorites here...sm
What is your favorite drink that you cannot get enough of? I have 2. One is Diet orange Sunkist. The other is sweet tea. I can't drink a lot of either, or shouldn't, due to the fact that sweet tea is about 100 calories a glass, and there is no telling how many glasses I can drink. Diet Sunkist has no calories, but I have interstitial Cystitis (chronic bladder inflammation) so a lot of soft drinks are not good for it. I have been drinking a lot of sweet tea lately, but I need to back off of it cause I gained 10 pounds from Thanksgiving to X-mas. My mom made homemade candy a lot in December and I couldn't resist eating it constantly, thus the extra 10 pounds.
My 2 favorites from last night were-
Adam and Allison. I really think Lil, Anoop, and Matt will be in the bottom 3. To me, last night Danny did not sound as good as he has been.
I voted several times each for my 3 favorites.
I mean, can you imagine all the money they have made over the years.
Try Clinique's Happy. One of my favorites.

These are my two most favorites, but I prefer the CSI in Vegas...sm
I think Grissom is awesome!
