How many campus shootings have there been in Utah?

I think a more telling statistic would be how many have occurred in the state to date versus how many, if any, occur after the passage of this law.

shootings
It happened in my hometown and was a lecture hall were the Geology, Geography and Antropolgy departments are - According to what a good friend told me they have airlifted at least 3 students to Rockford because of the extent of their injuries and there is no way, that our hometown hospital, even though it is new, is really equipped to handle anything like that :(
420 pot day on campus
Now I have never heard of this before, but my DD has, who is starting college next year.  Evidently, 4/20 is a day that people smoke pot openly to "celebrate" the stuff on college campuses.  There was a huge article in our local paper, complete with pictures at our private, high-end college here in town.  About 100 out of the 2400 kids at the college came out for it, toked up on the south lawn, even made a paper mache' bong.  Campus security and local police were there but did nothing, even though they said they don't "condone" it.  Am I missing something?  The all admit it's illegal, but it's like because it was April 20th, everyone was given a pass!  I'm not exactly outraged, but extremely confused!
I wish I could explain this campus to you...
It is an old town with the NIU campus at the heart. The main buildings are located near a lagoon, where the whole community can ice skate and feed the ducks in the warm weather. Classes can be held in large lecture halls, while others can be held in individual buildings located within walking distance. It is not like a big high school where you can monitor the doors and have a big xray machine when everyone walks in. It is spread out over a huge area, like a small town in itself with multiple buildings. I was there today, and there are old buildings and new multiclassroom buildings and just a mixture of traditional and new structures. I just dont see how the security could be much better than it is...

Hard to explain. So sad.
Donations for victims of Omaha mall shootings

Hi all you fellow MTs,

I live in the Omaha area where the recent mall shootings took place. It has been a devastating incident, as you might imagine. One of my friends went to the mall that day and instead of going to Von Maur first as she normally would, she decided to start her shopping at a different store. She would have been right in the area of the shooting.

Most of those killed or wounded were Von Maur employees. I work in a trauma center and we still have one of the victims there.

If anyone would like to make a donation to the victims' fund, the best way would be to go to the wowt.com web site and click on "how to help" on the left-hand side of the home page.

Thanks to all. Keep the families in your prayers, please.

Yes Utah
is like that too...hot and dry...desert heat! Easily 110 to 118 on the hottest summer days.
REPORT: Another college campus shooting. sm

From MSNBC: A gunman opened fire Thursday in a lecture hall on the campus of Northern Illinois University, wounding as many as 15 people

There are atheists in Utah? Personally,

Utah or Salt Lake City, info please
My vacation is right around the corner, starting the 25th of this month. I would like to know what is this doing for the people coming into SLC, is there a problem with the fires there? I am still (hopefully) looking forward to visiting your state, my first time there. Any sites I should try to work in? Thanks.

I am very for this and think it's a great idea. Now let's see how many colleges in Utah have shoot outs like those in the other states. I bet shooters will think twice about going in and blowing a place up knowing that there are probably many people carrying concealed weapons. I would feel much safer in a Utah college than anywhere else.
