What a sweet nephew!  But you know what they say, what goes around comes around so I'm sure he appreciates all you do as well.  Have fun!

I've heard of tops and also heard it is a good group.

I heard just last week that she was leaving the show--sm
Why would she suddenly become a host if she could not work out an agreement with CBS? She said she would be back for various shows already set up, but that she was not going to be there day to day...did I miss something?
Yes, I've heard of it...sm
My former sister-in-law had told me this years ago if guys drink this a lot they can possibly become sterile. I'm not sure why, but it was at a party and we had Mountain Dew there and she had said that.
It seems like I've heard
of cases where there was sexual abuse suspected and the custodial parent STILL had to let the child go with the noncustodial parent/suspected perpetrator. And if they try to hide the child to protect him or her they get slapped with contempt of court. I think that really sucks and I hope it is not the norm. It sounds like people were more reasonable in your case.
this is what I've heard
I heard that they are shooting it down over the ocean. It's not that so much that bothers me, its the way the govt is so "flip" about it like its no big deal. I've heard other people say that they believe gvt is testing whether they can shoot down other things....feel stupid now that I can't think of all the "correct" wording, but all in all I just don't feel comfortable with it. I don't blame you for not trusting them. I must be in your generation. We have never received any information to "let" us trust them. I think its a coverup for something bigger going on though. I also think its odd that all of a sudden now we've got satellites falling from the sky???? yeah, right, sure we do...
That's the first I've heard of anything like that. nm

Just when you think you've heard everything...

...now we have shoplifters heaving babies at store detectives.

I'm not sure why anyone would try to use a baby as a missile.  They can't be very aerodynamic.  Of course, he might have been carrying a "nuclear payload", if you get my meaning.

One of those "..and throw away the key!" stories.

I've never heard
That the Lord provides for drunks and fools...I thought it was babies and fools! Perhaps though, your ex is a fool. Don't be jealous of his lifestyle, he is living in an artifical reality, an alcohol-induced Utopia that will no doubt come crashing down around him eventually.
Now I've heard it all, your 4 year old?
Sorry, that's bordering on child abuse/neglect in my opinion! Poor *babies* :(
I've heard that theory before
I think it is very sad when a woman gives and gives all year long, tries to be thoughtful and generous for Christmas and probably every other gift-giving occasion, and gets no thanks at all. Maybe her DH put a lot of thought into the robe, but I doubt it.

It is about giving and not receiving and I agree with the poster below about how this holiday is really messed up. I think life is about giving, not just one holiday, but if there is such a holiday, then one should at least use that time to show his spouse that he appreciates her.

Just a little trinket from each kid that they picked out. For whatever the robe cost, he probably could have found something more personal... he does live with the woman.

I don't think the OP's post was about receiving. It was about giving. That's all she does.
I've also heard of dogs
tying right through a chain-link fence.

My dogs are fixed, thank goodness!
ROFLMAO!!!! Now I think I've heard everything!

I've only heard Will Ferrell
doing his version. I need to see that movie of his - I've just seen previews.
I've heard other people saying that, too

I don't have anyone playing sports this year, so didn't give it a thought, but I hope you're right and that the ratings aren't affected or that they change the night it is on.

I've seen Smokey and Bandit show up on other top 10 lists. Sadie?? nm

I've always heard they didn't work for
breeds like huskies. We have a 6-foot privacy fence and tacked chicken wire to the bottom of that and buried it to prevent digging.

The other problem I've heard is, how will your dog react if another dog comes into his yard? Could he defend himself from another dog emboldened by the submissive-appearance he prevents due to the invisible fence? Or would another dog coming into his yard be in danger from him? What about neighbors' cats? It may not be the best idea in a lot of situations, but some people seem to be able to use them.
I've heard that the average lifespan...sm

For Siberian Huskies is 10-12 years, but that 13, 14, 15, even 16 or 17 years old isn't all that uncommon for the breed.  Overall, they are a very healthy, hardy breed (at least they should be...) especially compared to some other breeds.

My husband loves Rotties, for example, and there's a terrible problem with bone cancer and other cancers in Rotties.  There seems to be a genetic predisposition to it in the breed, and research is being done on that.  We lost our second Rott at just 5 yrs old due to osteosarcoma in his front leg.  After having the limb amputed, he did well for a few months, then the cancer came back.  It was heartbreaking to lose him at such a young age.  We lost our first Rottie to bone cancer too (in her hip), at 10 yrs old.

But with my Siberians, my first 2 (not related to each other in any way) lived to be very nearly 16 years old, and died basically due to old age, no cancer.  I just lost my sweet old girl Alexx last month, on 01/10/2007.  She would have been 16 yrs old on 04/02/2007.  I still can't believe she's gone.  I still walk into the kitchen expecting to see her there, napping.

My remaining Siberian is 12 years old and going strong, fiesty as ever, but he has had cancer.  He had a major, en block resection a little over a year ago where the specialist took out a football-size area of his thorax, including a portion of 3 of his ribs(!).  Talk about traumatic (for me, my dog did fine! LOL).  It was a recurrence of a spindle cell sarcoma, first noted and removed (and much smaller) 3 years earlier.  *Hopefully* it won't come back again in his lifetime.

I've used Frontline and Frontline Plus off and on over the years for fleas.  We've never had ticks.  And since moving to where we are now, not far from Palm Springs, our vet's office has said fleas and ticks aren't a problem here, so Frontline isn't necessary.  I was skeptical about that at first.  But so far they're right, and we haven't had to use anything for fleas or ticks, which is a nice surprise.  I do worry about the fact that such strong chemicals are put right on their skin (and I would stay away from Hartz flea/tick products too, from what I've heard), but as far as it maybe causing cancer, I don't know.

BTW, my advice to all pet owners is to consider pet insurance.  We use Veterinary Pet Insurance:

http://www.petinsurance.com/

I think it's worth it for the peace of mind alone, so you don't have to worry so much about the cost if your pet needs expensive vet care.

That is the dumbest thing I've ever heard.
A cat is a natural predator to those small mammals and birds and I don't see any of them going extinct because of cats.

I do agree that house cats should be kept inside, but only for their own protection and that's only my opinion. My cats stay inside exclusively.
I've heard they are good for homemade..
pizza because pizza has to cook in a 500+ oven. The stone helps when domestic ovens only go that high.

I'm no cook, that's the 'gist' of it, stones.

You can Google the info tho.

Ever watch Sam the Cooking Guy? He cracks me up.
I've heard it's Preparation H (too embarassed to buy it)

I've never heard that it prevents lice. That's a new one to me.
I always thought that children's shampoos were marketed saying that they didn't sting the eyes. I never found that to be true, however. Johnson's Baby Shampoo stings my eyes. Some contain detanglers, but I had boys who always had short hair, so that wasn't an issue for us. From the time they were babies until now, I've always bought whatever was on sale or least expensive. Most times, that turns out to be Suave.
I've heard of notereader scopist
Back in the early 1990s I took a course called Notereader Scopist. They read court reporter notes (those long skinny papers that looks like a cash receipt) and types them into documents. Not sure if that is the same thing. I had found the course through something called At Home Professions but just didn't finish it because it was too expensive. Unsure if this is what you are referring to. I do remember it was a blast learning.
If this was the most sensational story you've eve heard in your life sm
then count your blessings. I know personally in my family and through others, of women/girls who don't know their baby's daddy (does the name Maury ring a bell), drug abusers, child loss, living such a worldly, superficial life....

Her life was not surprising to me. She was just a looker, just gorgeous if you ask me, and so she was like a bright light you couldn't take your eyes off, yet annoying if you stared too hard!
I've heard a catfish scream, but never a frog
x
I've also heard about paint ball guns...
they shoot people walking or riding on the sidewalk/road.  And those things HURT...what's up with the youth of today?  Are they really that bored, I mean, they have sooo much more than we (most of us) did when we were growing up.  Maybe that's the problem, they're spoiled...anyway, I do hope they get caught.  Thank goodness for my good kids!
Isn't that a shame? But it's not just a recent thing. I've heard of it
//
I've heard in Calif they pull from both DMV and voting records
probably to widen the pool - so no help from me - sorry!
I've heard superglue is almt as good as Dermabond.

I've been running around all day - heard a bit on the radio, but 9 DEAD? Oh goodness. Lord,
help those families right now, God. And that entire city. I used to live there. Can't recall that mall, though. I used to go to 2. If anyone is in that area, I used to live in Bellevue (the Air Force Base there). Where was this mall in Omaha? thanks for any info.
What is the MOST outrageous thing you've seen/heard while working in the medical field?
While working in an oncology office I had a heartbreaking conversation with a newly-widowed young mother of 2. Apparently healthy husband suddenly turned up with a brain tumor, which killed him pretty quickly. The life insurance company did their due diligence and investigated the case, since the policy was issued only weeks before the diagnosis; but the patient had NO indications of illness at the time, and the medical records basically proved the negative; he hadn't been to a doctor because he wasn't sick.

In the course of discussing the point with the claims examiner, the widow told him it wasn't about the money (although she was going to need it to raise her 2 kids by herself). She'd FAR rather have her husband back. The claims examiner said he'd far rather have the woman's husband back too...

... wait for it ...

... because if he were still alive, he'd still be paying premiums to the insurance company!

Yes, it really happened.

I suggested the widow contact the state insurance commissioner's office and report the guy. Even if what he said/did was not precisely illegal, it was WRONG, WRONG, WRONG.
I've heard good things and about things about taking prednisone. My mom was on it for SM
for awhile and it made her look so swollen.  I sympathize with you.
I missed the show but yesterday on her show
a couple of brothers came in and gave money to the family. Sorry I don't have more info, but like you, I do love the show. The brothers tried to give some of the credit to Oprah but she wouldn't take it. She really wanted the brothers to get all the credit.
that's awesome- I know
if I ever find a man that is anything like my dad, I'm snapping him up!
awesome!
I think that would be an awesome gift especially if he is the only grandchild! I know my parents would love it!

Go for it!!!
that is truly awesome - nm
xx
That is awesome!
I'm being a smartass of course.  Kinda creepy but yet sadly somehow not unexpected.

xxy
Awesome
reminds me of my daughter
Awesome!!!
However, this chicken HATES open heights -- nebber in my life would I be able to do this but kudos to your kidlet!!!!
My guy is awesome too. sm ....
OP, you say overall he is a "good guy"; really he isn't or you wouldn't be asking about his behavior. "Good guys" beat their wives and emotionally abuse them too. Sounds like you are married a selfish, controlling man with a lot of problems.
Awesome!!

Congrats on your success, and thanks for the laugh.

Funniest part is I can actually see MYSELF doing exactly those things:-)

Awesome!
I have two musicians in my family (BF and oldest son, both guitarists) and these would make awesome gifts! I think the E-bay idea is an excellent one!
awesome
Sorry if I was quick to jump to conclusions or offended you.
