I've often thought of doing this, but wonder if there are any legit ones or if they are all scams.

Email me at reginahare1@hotmail.com and I can give you some sites.
secret shopper
I do this in my spare time, and I am with Shop-N-Chek. I have not had any problems with them. If I want to do a shop, I do one. If I don't, I don't. You do an initial survey and they match you up with potential shops in your area. You can even do them on vacation if you have the zip code for where you are going. The website is shopnchek.com.
Can you direct us to a legitimate company, one that does not charge the shopper?

I've dealt with this on both sides.
I have 3 boys. My oldest son is very giving and caring (sounds like your daughter). He's been bullied a few times. Different responses apply to each individual bully. Some bullies can be dealt with best by the school or their parents. These are usually the kids who come from good homes and their parents don't always know what happens when they're not around. I generally deal with the parents if they're level-headed. If not, I go straight to the school.
Other bullies come from parents who don't give a darn what they do. These kids are the hardest to deal with. I have had to face these bullies myself. I flat out told them if they continue to pick on my son or bully him, I will call the police and they will be dealt with as a juvenile deliquent. This seemed to stop things pretty quick. I also followed that up with the letting school know what was going on because I had a feeling the child might pick on my son when I'm not there. The school was great about this and were well aware of this bully's behavior. It alerted them to keep a closer watch on my son at recess when this kid was around.
The other side of the fence is my 7-year-old son. I had gotten a call from his teacher early in the school year that he was bullying a couple of smaller kids. My son had a late birthday, so I held him for kindergarten, making him a year older than most of his peers. There didn't seem to be any problem in kindergarten, but by first grade, he realized that he was bigger than most and could use this to his advantage. From that first call I got from his teacher, I made it very clear to him that I would not tolerate bullying from him. I also told him the school would be watching him and if I hear any reports of him bullying others, I would punish him at home as well. Other than a few minor kid things, he's been pretty great. I even explained to him that because he was bigger than the little kids, he needed to protect them and watch over them like a big brother. He's come home a couple of times and told me how some older kids were picking on his friends and he stepped up and told them to knock it off. I was very proud of him and needless to say, he has a lot of "girlfriends" now.
My point here is that not all parents know what their kids are like outside of the home. It's very possible this girl's mother had no idea. Unfortunately, she was already hurt and angry when you talked to her and it probably didn't help things. I would suggest sticking with the teacher from now on with this one, and in the future, bring any problems immediately to the teacher's attention or the parents (depending on their temperament and how well you know them). Most importantly, I have also taught my children to stand up for themselves, use a firm voice, but walk away if it's just words and we'll deal with it together. The only time I allow my children to hit is if they're being physically hit and the other child won't stop. Our school has a zero tolerance for fighting, and it just wouldn't be worth getting expelled otherwise.
Hang in there. She's only 8 -- the really bullying starts in the teen years (I'm remembering mine), not being popular enough or having money or wearing cool clothes or being too smart or not thin enough. It goes on and on. In that case, I'm glad I have boys. They get less catty as they get older (I hope).
Anyone ever dealt with (especially married to) a true narcissist? (sm)
I have posted on here a couple of times about my husband and now I am finally figuring out that this is what is going on with him and why I question myself so often. Has anyone been married to a narcissist and did you get out??
This is exactly how I dealt with backtalking when I raised my kids.
Honestly, I would have been prepared to smack a kid right in the face for talking back to me, but it never came to that. Not even close! I started with them from the time they could talk. I modeled respectful speech, and when they shouted at me or spoke disrespectfully, they got the stern mom-voice and a time out in their room. By the time they were in school, all I had to do was give them a look. So many people have asked me, "How can you get them under control with just a look?" I guess I just cultivated that super power when they were little! Really, it was just consistency. Today, I have adult children, and when we're gathered for dinner together and we're laughing over our cups of coffee at the end of the meal, invariably one of them will crack some sort of joke or make a comment that will prompt me to give them that look. Immediately, the offender will say, "Sorry, mom!" and give me a sheepish grin. And then they'll all start up about how mom still has the power of the look. My eldest, the real wise-guy, once snapped a picture of me at the precise moment I gave someone The Look, and he now has it taped to his refrigerator door. He says it reminds him to behave as he goes through life, plus it makes him smile. Makes me smile, too!
Already read and saw this. How do you know this is LEGIT?
This Dr. Ahmed has not posted anything on the Main Board, Gab Board or any other Board here stating these facts. If you believe him, then email to get the facts. I am not going that route. Like I am going to call Multan, Pakistan. Give me a break.
make sure they are legit...
I agree with the poster who said to be careful about the one you choose, because they are not all reputable, which is what I said in my previous post. I have heard good things about CCCS and they were listed on the Suze Orman website. They charge a minimal fee of $30 per month for their service and will help you with nonsecured debt. They will put you on a budget and make arrangements with your creditors for a reasonable payback schedule that you can afford, based on your income. They have me paying $300 a month for all of my credit card bills---on my own I was paying close to $500 a month and could not afford to. They will also attempt to lower your interest rates with your creditors. It is a good last resort, as long as you research and pick a reputable company. I always Google research before I sign on with anything.
No, but if it is legit, it always sounded like my dream job!
Paid to shop? I'm there!
Legit but I would think you have to get a background in legal
because as a scopist you have to go through a court reporters work, basically editing it, don’t know about the pay but you have to be able to work with legal terms. There is a computer program used but if something does not go through on that, then I think you have to revert to using the old way and that would be to read the tapes (like the grocery store tape they used to type on) so I would think school would be in order for this job but it is legit.
Well, in a bank he would be handling money, so I think it's a legit reason to not hire. sm
To me, it makes perfect sense to not hire someone based on poor credit when that person would be working in an environment such as a bank, handling funds, etc. I see less reason to do so in other jobs, but in a bank, sure, it seems only logical to me. Sorry.
The Secret
I've heard a lot about "The Secret" and Oprah's show today is all about it if anyone's interested. It's about the laws of attraction and how to attract more abundance and positives into your life. This sounds interesting.
the secret
I was offered The Secret by special price from another site that I use daily and purchased the dvd. It is very well done and very informative. Please see it.
The Secret DVD
Is the DVD available in stores?
THE SECRET
Have you seen the movie The Secret? If you haven't it is a very good movie to watch. Not only for marriage, but for life. Good luck.
THE SECRET = YOU
It is not just being grateful for what you have; it is your outlook on life. The power of positive thinking. If you think you can't do something or you aren't happy etc. you have already set your limitations. You really have to watch the movie to understand what they are teaching you. Something so simple, yet many people lose sight of it.
You typed "I have always been grateful for what I have, and no better things are coming my way, I can assure you." You have spoken that into existence and nothing better will come your way. (Not trying to be rude, just making a point).
I am grateful for my husband, my kids being healthy and my job as an MT working for a wonderful company, and I look forward to many more happy years.
Sorry, what is the secret to
start with? Don’t know this.
Can you keep a secret like this?
Attorneys kept secret for 26 years that their client committed a murder. An innocent man was charged/tried/convicted for the murder.
My secret is staying out of the sun
and wearing a hat or slathering on a crapload of sunscreen! I got totally fried when I worked for a nursery (plants) back in the early 1990's and my ears burnt so bad they they actually got a tad deformed around the edges! I love outdoors time but I'll be darned if the sun is gonna be the cause of my demise!
Besides, I'm a superfreak when it comes to medical stuff. I love researching all sorts of medical crap and that nasty IUD just stuck in my head from my days in Anatomy and Physiology 101.
I also have a fetish for bugs too and someday, before I die, I'd love to play entomologist or something queer like that.
secret shopping
Do you make pretty good money doing this? Is it worth taking the time or do you just do it for fun? I went to the website you listed and am seriously considering joining...more info would be very much appreciated...
Shshshsh! That's my secret.

Principal Secret
anyone tried this skin care product? How'd you like it? Thinking about ordering, but not sure. Thanks for feedback...
Principal Secret
I have been using Principal Secret products for over 7 years. I quit the membership though because I simply wasn't using it enough to justify needing a supply shipped to me when they felt it was time, but rather just purchase it when I need it. Like the other poster stated, it is still cheaper than high-end cosmetics at high-end department stores. Principal Secret has a "bottom of the jar" guarantee also, so you can order straight from them, try the product, use it "all" and return it for a full refund if you do not like the product. Having sensative skin and not being able to use any form of foundation, I love their tinted moisturizer (very much lighter in color than chart), but I only use it in the wintertime due to being outside and getting tanned in the summer. I, however, also use all their skin cleanser products and the serum, as stated above, is absolutely wonderful. I do not like the eye cream though, it seems to irritate my skin. After using the tinted moisturizer in the winter, I follow it with the tinted loose powder by Mary Kay Products for a matted finish. Mary Kay loose powder does not irritate my skin nor does it clog my pores.
Do You Have a Secret Ingredient?
Do you have a recipe that you add or substitute an ingredient to make it special?
When I make pecan pies I sub half the amount of the corn syrup with Kahlua. I'm going to switch it up this year and sub it with Godiva liqueur for a chocolate flavor. I also add a couple of tablespoons of brandy to my pumpkin pies.
Secret ingredient sm
My family does not eat meat stuffing, so I use Pepperidge Farm preseasoned bread stuffing but instead of water per directions. I use either orange juice, cranberry juice, or both. I used to use chicken broth but after dieting, I found I could taste the grease. I also throw in a tiny bit of sliced apple, cranberry and raisin, not overpowering, just a hint, then of course, I chop up an onion and some celery. We have nut allergies, otherwise I would add some walnuts. People said they would kill for my stuffing. I mix it up and cook it in a separate casserole dish in the oven, cover with foil for about 15 min., then lift the foil and let brown a little, and butter, oh yes, plenty of butter, it doesn't taste greasy. My one vice is butter, usually holidays.
keeping a secret
taking addiction too seriously is a mistake. Keeping it a dirty little secret is a mistake. Hiding "Pa" in the basement because he is an embarrassment is a mistake. There is NOTHING shameful about being addicted to a substance. I hardly think there is one person on this board who does not know someone on antidepressants or takes them and that is considered healthy? But medicating depression with vodka is shameful?
The best disinfectant is light.
That's the big secret? I saw some of that Oprah and got bored.
I have always been grateful for what I have, and no better things are coming my way, I can assure you. Maybe it's some sort of brainwash...with hidden subliminal messages. LOL
The secret: JESUS. It's so odd that everything they said on that show
as a Christian, was Christianity and they didn't even know it. The only huge difference is that they believe this huge "secret" is about yourself when we believe it's about Jesus. Instead of looking inward to do all of those things, we look outward and ask God to do those things for us and He never fails to do them. It's really no secret.
Anybody wath The Secret on Oprah.
Any experiences with this. I am having a great time.
I'm a secret fan, too, but I got pulled away from the end. I have a feeling what's
s
You're right., some things should not be kept secret.
Tell your daughter that you have to inform the other parent, then do it. It's not fair to the other parent to keep this secret. And, don't try to be a friend to your child, just be a parent, which doesn't always mean doing what they want.
Principal Secret/Reclaim
Hello ladies. Does anyone use this product by Victoria Principal? Any comments will be appreciated. Thank you.
The recipe is a secret - sort of!
It's funny. I can make the cole slaw, but there's not really a recipe. And the sour cream, mayo thing was not her usual. She was probably trying to stretch out the mayo. That's my cousin's house, and his mom never had enough mayo on hand! LOL The same with the wine vinegar. Grandmom made sort of a face over it. She used plain white vinegar at her house. The cabbage was always sliced paper thin, by hand. Then onion was grated on one of those plane graters, so that the onion turned pretty much into juice. Then added a splash of vinegar, salt and pepper and stirred it up. Then, in a coffee mug, she sprinkled a bit of sugar on the bottom of the cup, filled it about halfway with mayo, and then thinned that with whole milk or cream until it was the consistency of salad dressing. Then mixed it all together. And not wanting to waste a drop, she always took some of the cabbage, put it into the mug and tried to clean out every drop of the dressing. One coffee mug of this concoction was enough for half a head of cabbage. Her cole slaw leaned more to the sour side with vinegar. It wasn't a sweet cole slaw, at all. She added grated carrots on special occasions, like T-giving, which is when the video was taken.
She was barely 5-feet tall, and shrunk to well under that as she got older. My mother was her firstborn child, and weighed nearly 10 pounds and breech, born at home. Amazing. My Grandmom was one strong lady!
My secret to happiness what something my grandma
told me.
My grandparents were opposites. I asked her on their 50th wedding anniversary how they had been able to stay together so long. She told me this:
You can sacrifice things in your life for the person you love and vice versa. But, if the person loves you and is worth loving, they will not require it of you.
Oh, please...anyone who keeps secrets, secret passwords...
email accounts, etc, shouldn't be trusted. It's not snooping for crying out loud. Any one who doesn't share with their spouse must be ashamed of something or have something to hide. Get rid of him already and move on to a HEALTHY relationship!

Google "The Secret" and you'll see. It's about how to get what you want out of life, bus

Victoria's Secret models are sooo young!
Does anyone else get Victoria's Secret catalogs, and do you think the models are too young? I just came in from getting my mail, and a new catalog arrived with "New Dream Angels" on the cover. The model is a girl, in my opinion. If that young lady is older than 14 or maybe 16 at the most, I'd be surprised. I'm 46, and I don't expect VS to use middle-aged or elderly models, but it would be nice if they were at least adults!

You've misread. John Assaraf is the Secret theorist who
I'm not talking about her actual killer.
The man who teaches The Secret said that everyone wishes everything that happens to them into their life.
Larry King was skeptical and the man insisted. So, Larry King used this as an example and asked if he believed then, using his own theory, that Jessica Lunsford wished her own torture and murder into her life. John Assaraf said YES.
Brady Bunch. Victoria's Secret or Fruit of the Loom?

I tried a big company, but
I didn't like the rigidity of their plan. You want somebody who is flexible in the cleaning rotation if they rotate their area of concentration. I mean, this company wanted to waste a clean by detailing my office and bedroom and laundry area. Nobody sees those areas, so if I have company coming over, attention needs to be paid to the areas we'll be using, you know? But they had to follow their national plan.
Plus, DH and I didn't appreciate having to spend every other day off preparing for them to come. Some days you want to spend in the yard and let the house go, but when somebody is coming to clean, you need to have picked up so they can vacuum and wipe counters, etc.
Which company did you use? NM

I went with a company...sm
We went with InCharge. The credit cards were out of hand and I was fed up. It took 1-2 months to get everything set up. We pay them $40 a month for their service, but the interest rates were knocked down to 6% so we are still saving bunches of money. We have have all the credit cards paid off in 2 more years. As for working out something with the credit card companies directly, they would not work with us so this is the route we went. Do not regret it at all.
Which company has this.
:
unwanted company
Ditto -- Just don't answer the door. We moved to the country to get away from that sort of thing and it still happens. I hate it too.
Just because a company offers 8....
Just because a company offers 8 cpl doesn't mean they won't up that for experience. I was offered 8 and said no and now I get 10 cpl.
For what company? See, that's the thing - I
have tested for numerous companies, and passed with flying colors, then when it comes down to the job offer, they offer me about what I am making now. That is why I would like to just know what companies out there are paying 10 cpl so I can just bypass all the ones that offer low pay; otherwise, I just see myself wasting my time, taking all these tests and in the end being offered no more than what I'm getting now. Can anyone out there who makes 10 cpl tell me what company they work for?
misery and company
I'm not glad that you all suffer too, but a little relieved. Mine is a little like an electrical hum - white noise came to mind for me also. I wonder if computer error tones started mine as it happened right after I had a series of bad dictations where I turned the volume up really high and then when I hit something wrong I got a very loud tone - someone has since told me how to change it to a more tolerable sound.
