I took my mom to Red Lobster and she had --sm
rock lobster tail, something she loves, but rarely gets because of the cost. It made her YEAR! and made me feel good too. everyone else is getting or got cash this year, due to too much work and not enough time to shop.
Leftover ham, what is that?
NM
Leftover ham recipes?
I had a big spiral ham Christmas Eve buffet but too much other food and a large portion, over half, not touched. I never leave my food out long, asked everyone if they were sure they didn't want more, put it in the fridge with intent to send some home with them but they had so many cookies, etc., to take that they didn't take any. I am going to a party tomorrow and wondered if along with what I am bringing, should I grind some ham up and make a ham salad to be put on nice crackers or rolls? I don't want it to look like I'm pushing leftover ham from Christmas but it will only be the 6th day and it's only the two of us here, so I hate to waste it. I'm not sure if I should just skip the idea or use it up. I don't want to look like an old cheapo.
Leftover Snickers? Never. nm

leftover roast beef
I've had roast beef sandwiches for three days. Can I make the roast beef into something that I can freeze and eat later?
LOL - you just reminded me that I have leftover pudding
hiding in the back of the fridge! YAY for me!
I use my leftover roast beef for tacos! nm

Very thankful for..
the fact that I heard from my oldest son, after a long time of searching for him (long story), but oh so grateful he is okay. Also, became a grandmother again for the fifth time with a new grandson born a month ago to my youngest son, this makes his second son. I am over the moon whenever this happens. Love to all. Also, I love reading all of the wonderful things happening in each of your lives.
I am so thankful
After reading all these posts that we're doing fine financially and haven't had to change too much regarding spending habits with the exception that we cut down our going out to eat. Our bills all get paid (mortgage which will actually be paid off in about nine years, car, thankfully one is paid for, credit cards finally getting down, etc). I'm lucky that I don't have to pay for insurance as my husband has it through work. We don't have a savings account, but have our money in IRA's, mutual funds, and a 401K plan. Hopefully things won't change too much. We keep telling our daughters, especially our oldest one that things can change at anytime with the job situation so we are prepared if that should happen.
I am thankful for HIS love
//
You should be thankful that he wants to stay home--sm
SOMEtimes, having outside activities leads to OTHER recreational activities that are not conducive to a happy marriage. I would be very happy to have a stay-at-home husband. JMO. :^)
No matter how annoying they are..be thankful you have one--sm
some of us do not and it is very difficult to provide for ourselves in this day and age. Think about it...truly...what would you do without them?
I (humbly) have plenty to be thankful for!!
dehiscence.... is that right? thankful for spellcheck

be thankful to have him around at Christmas time...
and try to overlook some of these things that bother you. My husband is in Iraq and I would give just about anything to have all of his annoying habits around for Christmas. Just a different perspective, but sometimes these things aren't as bad as we think. It is a little endearing that he is so excited at Christmas. Like a kid almost. :)
Be thankful you have your wonderful mom to write that letter to..sm
It has been a little over a year since my mom passed away. I miss her so much. I would love to be able to write my mom or call her. I was fortuante enough to have spent many, many holidays in the kitchen helping my mom. I sure do miss it now. Give thanks that you have your mom in your life. I am also a married mother of 3 and am 36 y/o with no mom for the holidays. God Bless you, your family, and most of all your mom. I am so sad every day without mine.
Contact him and be thankful you found him alive and hopefully healthy. sm
If you pass this opportunity up, you may never get another chance. I think i would call him, but you also have to think about someone else answering the phone and be prepared just in case. i believe everyone deserves a second chance and a chance for explanations. my eldest brother recently had his 23yo son contact him. lots of issues and reasons, but at least his son got to meet his father. now i am trying to get the family together as i am trying to get to know my nephew via myspace. both were sitting around waiting on the other to make a move after their initial meeting and neither were doing it. just FYI though, my brother's wife also had a major problem with my brother meeting his long lost son as well. what's up with that??? i can't comprehend that. as adults, it isn't like they are only after money you know. just want to know their family is all. contact him before you regret it!
Mane and Tail sm
Sounds weird, but my scalp itches with almost all shampoos. Tried Mane and Tail out of desperation which I use for the dogs and bingo. No more itching. My husband laughed at me and then tried it when his shampoo wasn't in my shower. Now he uses it all the time. I don't use the conditioner though, just the shampoo.
I have used Mane and Tail before......
I know they sell in many stores and there ain't no horses around in this city! ;) I just looked up the site and apparently a lot of people use it.

Love the tail
So sweet how dogs like to please their owners. I love it where the dogs tail was sticking through the owner's legs. Bet the toes and tail have been stepped on plenty!
You mean the bird's tail? (sm)
It's fatty meat and tail bone. I think people leave it, but don't serve it.
Yes, I am talking of tail.
//
Even neurtered, he could still have stud tail.
l
She's using her tail to cover the delicate
parts, hehehe. That's more than my dogs do, course they have a lot more fur-clothing on.
If he is otherwise healthy, I'd lose the tail.
He'll have to adjust how he balances but otherwise I think he'd be fine.
The kind of Mane and Tail that I am
It is a shampoo.
I have used Mane and Tail for years - sm
My hair is very thick and used to be very long until recently. I liberated myself from the heavy head of hair. :)
My girls use it too. One has very thick hair and the other has thin hair.
All of us have very straight hair.
yeah you didn't mention where on tail...sm
but you did mention *huge mass that burst*.......again, probably should do what the vet thinks is best, but I'd like to know if it's the lower part of the tail or up high closer to the body of the cat. Thanks! Again, good luck! Hope your kit gets back to being just fine...I love cats. Please keep us posted!!
awww what a nice fluffy tail too!
I think he'll make a lovely Stubby. Or you could make his middle name Stubby lol
He has "stud tail" but don't remember how to treat it. Call your

And her tail covering those "delicate" areas to prevent

Agree with losing tail. An old cat just tends to walk around, not much jumping or

Actually, the tail is the ONLY part of a turkey I will eat. Can't stand the rest nm

My son had this happen to him, as well--sm
and he did report it to the bank. however, he only got half of his money back (I don't know why) even though the woman who stole his cc# was caught. I had the same bank as he did and apparently they told him they would only reimburse half of the charges. To this day, he will not buy items on line.
me too but I don't think that's going to happen...sm
GOP-democratic ongoing battle will make it political, but if WE can resist all that.....it would be good.
Just as an aside, us older MTs...are really going to be the largest senior group ever.......in the USA - something like 70+ million - and we, politically, are a HUGE voice (in numbers)....so I still believe WE CAN change the world.......that we CAN make the difference.
just as I believed 40 years ago too.......
perhaps I'm deluded.....*winks*
sure hope not......
p.s. please don't burst my bubble....
Did this happen already?
I'm watching CNN and they haven't mentioned it. They just have a message up saying that Judge to decide if Paris Hilton goes back to jail. She isn't even at the courthouse yet. The Sheriff are picking her up at her house. I definitely think she needs to go back to jail no question about it.
Happen to be in
or is this something happening all over Indiana, thanks to our MITCH????
He does not ALLOW it to happen...
We are humans, with minds of our own, allowed to make choices. We're not puppets on a string being guided around. Come on now, you can't be that unschooled in the Bible. It's unfortunate that bad things and abuse and so forth happens in this world, but it does...and it's because there are so many nonbelievers and so much evil...God wants us to come to Him. He's not going to force Himself on anyone.
Having same happen to me
Gosh I love these fuzzies but shocked every time I pet them, etc. but that is just the tip of the iceberg- getting shocked from clothing, coats, blankets, etc. etc. Does anyone have a good idea how to stop some of this- and no, I will not get rid of the fuzzies.
You could have this happen to you sm
where you disconnected from someone because of something petty (shower) and then when you really had time to look back on it and put it into perspective, along with putting yourself in her situation, you realize that you miss your friend and try to reconnect.
When you do, you find out she actually died a year before. Think about that before you make a decision to end the friendship. I wish I had.
I can see how it could happen
Years ago, I went for an upper GI. The tech came in right before the test to ask if I had done the bowel prep. They were preparing to do a barium enema instead of an upper GI. It was a good thing I was in the medical field and knew exactly what test I was having and why.
I agree that it must happen a lot..sm
A few years back I had an ink cartridge that I wanted to return because I had grabbed the wrong one. The Walmart wouldn't take it back. For that store anyways, it was their policy not to accept ink cartridges in return for that very reason. They told me that I wouldn't even believe how many they get back and are actually empty. I was told that I needed to send it back to the company for whatever brand it was.
I believed what they said because at that time my husband was a manager there.
When they do inventory it takes them like a month to do it, and you wouldn't believe sometimes how much money and merchandise is unaccounted for, not just easily concealable things either. No way to know how much of it was really stolen, but I would bet a good portion of it.
I'm sure they'll take back your cartridge. If you can't find your receipt, they will probably just give you a gift card figuring that if by chance you didn't get that cartridge there, at least they know you have to spend that gift card at a Walmart.
Just my 2 cents.
I'll tell you exactly what will happen.
If you don't buy it, everything will break. If you buy it, everything will break right after it runs out. lol. I bought a blazer a couple years ago, bought an extended warrantly and literally a month after it ran out my fuel pump burned up, some motor for my blinker burned out, had to get a new alternator, new battery, new tires (due to neighborhood felon in the making), driver side viser broke...I think there was more but I can't remember at the moment.
Anyhoo, good luck! :-)
i expected this probably would happen, but not yet.
I feel for her baby growing up without her mom and for her mother, who i'm sure always had hope that "vicki lynn" would come out of this downward spiral before it was too late. It's tragic all the way around. I would love to know if mr. lawyer is really innocent of all this too.
did these happen at once or different times? nm
I can only imagine what would happen
to all the animals that would not be adopted because the owners could not afford health insurance. We have 2 dogs and 2 cats, all adopted from shelters. We don't have insurance on them but isn't them living in a loving home a better alternqative then what might have happened to them?
Gee. I knew that would happen! LOL!
Know things happen but.....
I can relate to what you say; however when my own father asked me to move in with him (close to age 90) I refused to do that. I visited, had seen him growing up (parents divorced) but I would never ruin my life moving in with him as life would have been hel* for me, overbearing, rude, constantly belittled me in front of others (weight issue he had with me) and generally not the kind of person I would care to live with. However, this is what I did and he could take or leave it. He lived close by in another state and I told him I would get any assistance he could use be it Meals on Wheels, rides to and from appointments, just anything. It was up to him if he wanted or not. I did not care norr do I care now what anyone would think about this situation. My maternal aunt (who knew my father very, very well) said he had lived his life, now I should live mine. I am not throwing away my happiness to satisfy someone else. Now, if he had been a kind, understanding, loving father he could have possibly (and that is not a sure thing) moved in with ME but definitely not giving up my home, etc. to have lived with him.
What's the worst that can happen; you buy a new one?
I have heard people clean them by running them under the shower and letting them dry in the warm outside air. I'm going to try it, I have a backup cheapie to use if it gets ruined and I have to buy a new one.
Would you happen to be a male
Because any female knows how hard it is to go to school while having your period, especially having your FIRST period. And the thought of her using a tampon at that age I am sure freaks the poor child out. My DD is 17 and she still doesn't use tampons. I never used them until I had my 3rd child, over the age of 30. Only a male (I hope) would make such an uneducated response...more power to ya Mom, stick up for your DD 100%... the teacher was absolutely wrong in the way this situation was handled and should be confronted about it...good luck!
