I laughed at the "men are weird" remark. There is only two kinds of "submitting" I can think of. One is doing every thing he wants and never saying no and the other is the "sexual dominance/submittance thing" Either I find disgusting. It is very very weird he said that to you.
I learned a long time ago that I don't "submit" to DH, but I learned what fights to defend myself about and what ones to just agree with him and get him off my back. Unfortunately because I was not a stronger person when we first married most of the time now I just agree with him. I tried to change that over the years, but he then accused me of having an affair as to why I was acting so weird. The weird thing about my DH is if I disagree with him we will argue (depending on what the issue is determines how intense the argument will be). But, when I do agree with him depending on his mood he will still argue. I have to keep repeating, why are you arguing with me I'm agreeing with you. I did tell him once a long time ago that I learned many years ago that I'm not afforded my own thoughts, I have to agree with him unless I want to sit through an argument. As you can tell he didn't like that answer either.
And....on your statement of imagining a woman saying he was so wonderful, he submitted to me. All I say is Ewwwwww. That did make me laugh though.
