Grey's Anatomy
Love the show! But does anyone know why they will be airing repeats the whole month of December? Kind of sucks, doesn't it? I hate that.
Grey's Anatomy
That's a given! Can't wait to see this next season. Sometimes silly and sometimes poingnant....a lotta raw emotion.
Grey's Anatomy
I caught the last 10 minutes of it... Oh well, I can live until next week....It'll all be re-hashed.
Oh My God. Grey's Anatomy. Anyone else
in shock and crying?
The last 15 minutes of Grey's Anatomy??
I missed the last 15 minutes of Grey's Anatomy last night and thought they would rerun it tonight like they usually do, but it wasn't on. So, will someone please let me know what happened? I turned to it to see Christina freaking out and Meredith cutting her wedding dress off of her, but I have no idea why this was happening! What happened to the wedding?? Thanks in advance!
Grey's Anatomy fans...did you see?
The character of Erica Hahn was "dismissed" and this week will be her last episode. I think the rumblings were that maybe ABC wasn't happy with the Erica/Callie relationship.
I bowl on Thursday nights so it's take out for the rest of the family - NM

It's the Thursday Fun-Poll !!!! YAY!
Let's see how alike or different we all are!
Chronological Age: 55
Physical Age: 30
Emotional Age: 12
What State: CA
How you like being an MT: Eh, it's [barely] a living.
What you like/dislike about it: I like to type, but I hate being poor.
Favorite Food: Hamburgers.
Favorite Spectator Sport(s): Figure skating.
Most fun you ever had in your life: Exploring London & Oslo on foot.
One of your worst experiences: Breaking my leg at the top of the mountain while skiing, and having to hop all the way down on one leg because the ski-patrol blew right by me, and didn't even stop to help.
Funniest experience: Getting my fanny-pack caught in a chairlift seat at Squaw Valley, and going clear around the bullwheel before the stoned-out liftie realized what was wrong. Then, mortified, having to jump 6 or 8 feet to the ground while the liftie & others laughed. (Find paper bag. Cover head with it. Ski away fast!)
Best pet you ever had: A dog-pound dog I adopted in 1973. She was my sidekick for 4 years, before getting killed by a car. She understood English, so you had to s-p-e-l-l some things in her presence. She was psychic - always knew what I was thinking. She went everywhere with me: Hikes, horseback rides, long car trips, motels, other people's houses, the Renaissance Faire, art shows, concerts, etc. My mom considered her to be my sister.
Funnest job you ever had: I was a temp for Kelly Girl, and got to work for 2 weeks at an architect's firm located high in the mountains above Malibu Beach. Lots of young, cute guys worked there. Every day at lunch, we all changed into shorts, set up a volleyball court in the parking lot, and played volleyball for an hour!
Weirdest job you ever had: Worked (also as s temp) at a toilet-factory in Van Nuys. The people there were all so high-drama about that place, that I had to stifle giggles more than a few times. I also used to do saddle-repairs and bridle-making. Also got paid to drive motor homes for people who were scared to drive them.
When you win the Big Lottery, you will: Quit my job! (duh...) Buy a small house somewhere, maybe up in Lake Tahoe, preferably with a tennis court in the back. Will remove the net, and turn it into a private roller rink. Will make it "flood-able" for winter, so I can ice-skate in my own backyard. Will maybe get a pet chinchilla. Will travel frequently, especially back to London. Will own a season pass to not one, but several ski areas. Will become more involved in animal rescue.
Your favorite musical group(s): Pussycat Dolls (various); Sundogs (swamp-rock boogie); Red Elvises (Siberian surf-rock); Trans-Siberian Orchestra (orchestral rock); Michael Franti & Spearhead (various, reggae, etc.); Grateful Dead (various).
Latest pet peeve: Obnoxious skateboarders.
Favorite News Anchor: Brian Williams. (What a cutie!)
Favorite past Sat. Nite Live comedian: Gilda Radner
Favorite current Sat. Nite Live comedian: Kristin Whig... (her "Penelope" character has me ROTFL.)
Favorite Sports Hero(s): Apollo Anton Ono (short-track speed skater), Johnny Mosely (freestyle skier), Peggy Fleming (ice skater), and Joe Montana (and I don't even like football!)
Most disliked sports figure(s): Barry Bonds, and all those other 'roid junkies. OJ Simpson is no prize, either.
I cook / don't cook because: If God had intended for me to cook, I would've been born with Teflon hands.
What you would replace in your house: My fridge. It's OLD. The freezer is not frost-free, and this most recent time I defrosted it, it had gotten SO small inside, that only 2 Swanson chicken pot-pies would fit in it.
Who did you look up to as a kid or teenager? One of my horseback-riding instructors. Not only taught us kids how to ride, but she also took groups of us on field trips to places like the Art Museum, the Ballet, historial spots in the city, movies, miniature golf, concerts, the 4th of July fireworks, etc. She practically raised some of us.
Did you pass the 1st time you took your driver's test? No. I forgot to look over my left shoulder when changing lanes, and he flunked me for that. I was sooooo embarrassed, I didn't go back to re-take it for several months!
Do you text when you drive? Haha.... I can't even text when I'm sitting in the living room! Them little buttons is 'way too small for me........
What you hope to see in your lifetime: Solar-powered EVERYTHING... houses, cars, even airplanes. (yeah, right...) Switzerland. Mount St. Helens. Paris. Another Olympic in-person. (Went to summer 1984 in Los Angeles... it was just TOO much fun!) The Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show in person. Death Valley. Burning Man. Australia & New Zealand. Spain. Ireland. A tornado (from a safe distance). And....! MT becoming a good-paying job again someday.
Worst pain you ever felt: A couple of real doozer, 3-day migraines. Yes, those were even worse than my broken leg!
How you treat a really bad mood: I avoid other people if possible. Stay inside all day and watch lots of daytime "trash-TV" shows. Buy a gallon of chocolate-chip-cookie-dough ice cream, and polish that puppy off in one sitting. Spew a little on Craigslist's "Rants & Raves" board. Bake a few million cookies. Go for a very long drive, hike, skate, or bike ride. And....double up on the Prozac
Favorite gemstone: Amethyst
Favorite color(s): Purple
Favorite domestic animal: Horses, cats
Favorite wild animal: Mountain Lions
Happy Flyer, or White-Knuckler? Happy mid-flight, white-knuckler on takeoffs/landings.
Phobias: Bees, especially killer-bees. Large numbers of any type of bug. Sharks and jellyfish. Sometimes seaweed.
"I would rather die than eat a - :" Tomato.
A friend or relative who passed away 20+ years ago gets to come back and visit you for a day:
You would be proudest to show them: The view from where I'm living.
They would be most shocked by: The attacks on 9/11.
They would be most amazed/intrigued by: The Internet.
They would be most dumbfounded by: The near-collapse of Wall Street, & the imminent collapse of the American automobile industry.
The activity you would most like to do together: Go skiing!
This person was: My dad.
Well, I lost my job on Thursday the 12th,
so I guess that's the bad luck day for me now.
I loved that job, but the economy finally got to the nursery business I've been working for. I was offered a lesser job until the economy comes back, but I don't know how I'll survive. I've been without a computer for about 3 weeks, so I couldn't do any of the general transcription work I had started doing. Life was really good for the month since I'd moved out and started over on my own, too.
Results show is Thursday night.

Greys Anatomy
I heard that Burke was leaving the show after George and him (forgot their real time) had words on the set about George being gay in real life. It kind of leaves a cliff hanger if either one is coming back and then Dr. Addison Sheppard is going to have her own show next season so she is off the show. I agree not that great of a show anymore
In Limestone County, Alabama, Thursday the 24th is the last day.
Students go half-day Thursday.
My 2 high schoolers started back last Thursday. It is
so hot here (Virginia) they are having to dismiss school early. The high school is putting in an air conditioning as well as a new heating system even as we speak, but the air won't be up and running until next spring. Now if only all the other schools would get air conditioning. Hopefully soon.
Burn Notice starting it's new season on Thursday
that is one fine man.... yummy...oh, yeah, love the show, too.
Grey's
Cristina was flipping out because when she scrubbed into surgery, she washed her vows off her hand. I took it that Burke misunderstood why she flipped and that he thought she didn't want to marry him while she was only flipping out because she didn't know what she was going to say for her vows. Maybe I misunderstood, but that's the way I took it. But anyway, he left her at the altar. I was really suprised by that and also when George failed his intern exam.
This website will explain a lot. I just found out about it tonight.

Grey's
I guess Izzie dying is going to be the cliffhanger? If she and O'Malley leave, the show definitely won't be as good. And they can get rid of Arizona. I could find a better lesbian for Callie. Can't stand that whiny voice.
little grey just had her third sm
child in real life (cannot remember her real name). The show hid that quite well under the lab coat. Also Ellen P. (Merideth) is pregnant with her first child. I read People magazine that is how I know all this.
Grey's
Love Grey's. Last night was a shocker. I remeber the ER episode that was similar. Can't believe the finales this week-between seeing House going into a psych hospital (for his borderline personality or his addiction??)and then Izzie and GEORGE. Why did they have to kill him (or is he dead)? Joining the Army should have been enough. Anyway, as we should be expecting, Baily was just wonderful. Can't wait for next season of House adn Grey's.
working nights
I work nights, 11p-7a and sleep while my child is at school and it works great for me. I have no problem getting up when it is time to go to school for a function and then I lay down with him at night before I have to come to work and it works out great so far.
Last nights leftovers. BTW sm
what is hot water cornbread?
It's on CMT, Tuesday nights at around 9 or 10:00.
Hosted by John Rich. Last season they had Bobby Brown, Carnie Wilson, Maureen McCormack, Julio Iglesias, Jr., Diana Digarmo from American Idol, and some other people I can't remember. They live together and have to write a a country song and perform it before an audience. Julio won.
This season there's Sean Young (crazy), Lorenzo Lamas, Jermaine Jackson, Irene Cara, some girl from American Idol, and two other guys I've never heard of. They all live in a house together to learn to write a country song and then they have to perform it before a live audience.
Did you like Gray's Anatomy this week?
We tape it, so I'm not even sure what day it's on, but I finally saw it.
I enjoy parts of the show, despite so many of the characters and their story lines being so maddeningly illogical and annoying.
Meredith - Get over yourself and get to know your sister, you dolt.
Derek: You are too good for Meredith.
Chief: Why did you do it? Callie is a newlywed in a mess, while Bailey can make her own decisions and handle anything.
George and Alex - Much improved hair. Thank you.
Christina - Do try to actually teach something.
Izzie - You just can't be normal, can you?
That's all I have to say about that.
greys anatomy spoiler
George and Izzy were never pronounced dead so by next season they could be saved. They were only half way to heaven. What a cliff hanger.
Female anatomy and the brain
I do a lot of neuro dictation and I've noticed that seizures and migraines tend to increase in a lot of females with their menses. Anyone know the link between females having an increase in both of these problems with their menses? Would a hysterectomy be helpful? I'm truly curious about this.
TEA - EARL GREY - HOT
K
that will give me incentive on bad nights (sm)
I use mine every night, too, and it's made a world of difference, but sometimes it gets really old wearing it. Remembering such tragic stories is certainly motivation enough for me. My sympathies to you and your brother's family; that's too young to die.
1 to 2 more glasses of wine some nights.

Why in the world would I have to work nights?
How many people want to work, really want to work nights? First of all, it is very unhealthy for you- do you not know the link between women working nights and breast cancer? Do you not know other illnesses associated with working at night? I have never worked nights, never wanted to, never had to and hope that will always be the case. My gosh, what else do you want to down me for- now it is for not working nights? Ridiculous!
When my husband started nights
It was his decision to switch to nights and I told him if he did he had to go to bed when he got home and be up when the kids got home from school. Some nights he might take a short nap before he leaves (by short I mean an hour) but that was the compromise we made.
She always amply displays other parts of her anatomy, but
I mean, we know she lives in the Hamptons and has rich friends who lives in the Hamptons. Enough already. Talk about rubbing it in!
Desperate Housewives....and about Gray's Anatomy
I thought last season was so awful I may not even watch it this year. What happened there? It's too bad.
Grey's Fans - anyone else stumped?
I just don't get the whole George-Izzie-Callie triangle. George only had eyes for Meredith for so long before he got together with Callie. There was no hint of him having any kind of feelings for Izzie besides friendship and then all over a sudden, after one drunken encounter, they are each other's everything. LOVE the show, but I'm not buying it. On the other hand, loved Derek's little speech to Meredith at the end of the show this week.
Okay - finally a grey's fan... theories:
Okay, what about Izzy's embryos - you know something has to come up with that! And I read on their website chat board that Meredith and Derek are supposed to get married on the 14th so maybe they will get married before the end of the show. I agree on Arizona - yuck! Of course, Callie turning bi to begin with was really kinda gross! As far as Mark and "little Grey" - I think they are totally cute but i'm wondering if she's pregnant since a couple of episodes back she was eating ALL the time (said it was stress but it made me wonder). Ahh - gotta love them "pseudo" hospitals!
Grey's Season Finale
I was impressed with Alex - the things he said were out of fear - he had finally, for once in his life, allowed himself to trust another (Izzy) with his heart and now he was afraid he was losing the best part of his entire life. He was trying to man up and he couldn't help her. Besides, he figured at the time that she'd forget all he said.
I didn't like what he said either, but I considered his character all throughout the show. I think stuff like that really happens to real people in similar situations. I thought it was great acting.
I hate that they killed Izzy off - she's been such a joy in that role.
I also loved that the hero turned out to be George - my 12-year-old figured that out before I did and tried to tell me, but I shushed her! LOL
I sure hope they do better with the Meredith & Derek relationship - I like that M is softening, but D needs to toughen up or something. I did enjoy their vows though..
The Christina and Owen thing seems so awkward to me - they'll probably end up being the power couple next year, but I don't see the connection between them.
I sure enjoy that show!
Just bought Ŝ Hour Sleep" - used 2 nights - like it a lot (sm)
Bought it at Food Lion. It has valerian root, 5-htp and melatonin and some other ingredients. Works pretty well and I am not tired the next day.
Agree, let him do it, you will survive 3 nights a week - sm
without him. If he can get a cheap enough place it might be cheaper than commuting, and if work would/could help pay for it to that would be great. My DH travels a lot, though it is mostly day driving, his daily drive to work is a min. of 1 hour. When he has to go to the same place for a few days that is 2 hours away, he will sometimes stay 1 night to give himself a break (company pays). He gets a very sore back from all the driving and his left leg bothers him a lot too from whatever position he puts it in in the car. Our first two years of marriage I only saw him on the weekends as he was 2.5 hours away at work (we later moved there); I had no problem with it and still don't. I'd rather have him stay and be alive (accidents happen), then drive home just so he can be here and help me with the kids, etc. Yeah, it gets a bit hectic when he is out of town but I can handle it and so can you.
A&E Psychic Children, Monday nights, NM
z
I have a 16yo son. On school nights, he has to be home by 9p. SM
On weekends, midnight. However, he is not allowed to be gone every night during the week. It helps that his girlfriend's parents and I are on the same page and when they are together on a school night, they are at her hourse or my house and that makes it easier to enforce the rules. Plus they do their homework together which is nice. My son when from failing classes last year to make all As and Bs this year. So I try to give him a little more freedom because of the effort he's been giving.
A few nights ago Jane Valez-Mitchell on her show
gave details on the extent of injuries suffered in the recent chimp attack. This woman lost both eyelids, nose and lips and both hands in the attack. They said she may be blind with serious neurologic deficits and is still listed in critical condition. My heart goes out to her and her family. Jane also said that some of the hospital staff are actually undergoing counseling after seeing the extent of injuries.
And Thursday night is safer than Friday night - how?
We used to live in a town that was once in the Guiness Book of World Records for number of churches per capita (which by the way was the worst place I've ever lived - discourteous, Nazi schools, etc.), and they wouldn't let us trick or treat on Sundays. Ridiculous! People can say what they want but celebrating Halloween doesn't make you a devil worshiper! Just my 2 cents!
