Anybody here sell or ever sold anything on Etsy?
beaded jewelry sm
I did start this hobby and used only the best beads, there are a lot of online companies who will sell to you but I found after much expense and hard work that "everyone" is doing it and I attended a few craft shows but they were overrun with people who all made beaded jewelry. I don't know, perhaps I'm sick of working with my hands, it went pretty fast and I was proud of myself, but ended up giving it all away as gifts and gave up on trying to sell it. It's all the rage now to be taking beading classes and there are just too many selling it. If I'm going to sit all those hours, I make more in transcription and feel like I cheapened myself by getting into the "jewelry industry." Just my take on it, as I said, I used expensive beads, sterling silver clasps, and spent a lot of money which I did not get back. I have the most necklaces in town and I don't even wear jewelry -- too much "clanking, too much noise." It is also very addicting, "just one more necklace" and you end up with a hundred. Also, I pictured people walking down the aisle in church and the necklace breaking - so I was reluctant to sell them! Just my craziness, I guess. I did take a few lessons - $$$ - about $40 a pop only to see it repeated or in one case, "copied" by another crafter - that really p-hissed me off, that was my original creation after all! See what others have to say, perhaps you will like it.
Does anyone make beaded jewelry?
I am interested in making beaded jewelry but not sure where to start. Do any of you make beaded jewelry? If so, where do you find the best prices for beads? Do you make jewelry to sell or just for fun? Thanks for the info.
Beaded jewelry... Most craft stores have supplies.
If you have a local craft store, that's a great place to start. Also, if you Google beading jewelry, you can find video how-to's.
I thought it was fun at first, but I haven't picked it up again. The beads are intricate and I found the major problem was size of the actual jewelry.
It would make great gifts though.
Have been loads of places
Greece, Mexico (5x there), Puerto Rico, Bahamas (4x there, Jamica, Alaska and my hubs fav is Las Vegas (6x there)- I was only in Jamica for a week but had a blast there, so much to do. I probably would save my favorite and most gorgeous (water included) was probably Alaska. Very hard trip for me, so far and I thought only trip of a lifetime but I think I have changed my mind and would love to return. It would be between Jamica and Alaska and I am past the beach thing now. Have a great time!
These people are in Hollywood with loads of money.
She'll have a nanny and her Mom's writing a book or something or parenting, so she'll be good to go.
What I don't like is the fact that 7-year-old daughter watched that show on Disney, as I'm sure other young girls have, and I don't think that's setting a very good example for her to be in a school setting and then be an unwed, young mother. Maybe I'm from the old school, but I think it says a lot for this young girl and her decision making. I actually read an article online that said the father of this child was not planning on this, but he'll make a great Dad... How does he not plan on it? It does take two? Do they not know of birth control? This is what makes me think it was planned and for show and for all of us to comment on and make a big deal about it.
They have money, they'll be fine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Whether full pit or mixed pit, loads of shelters will NOT
let them be adopted out. I was at a shelter the other day, lady came in wanting to retrieve a pit her daughter had taken from her home in a drug bust. The person was told could not let go, it was a pit and the woman said but it is not full and the answer was NO difference, mixed, full they are a danger to society and the people who would adopt know this. The shelter has sign on door (pits have green signs on their individual place) and the sign says no pure or mixed pits adopted out. Don’t you just think maybe these people who have had experience with the breed probably onto something? Naaaa, people just want to keep thinking otherwise. Your life, not mine.
I have an older dryer (10 yrs) and dry about 4 loads a week sm
(small family). Last summer I began drying 3 out of 4 on the line. My electric bill dropped by half, from about $75 or 80 per month to around 40. (Small house, small utilities.)

Refinancing, nope. We have been paying loads on
the principal and started out with over $220,000 in 2004 and already under 97,000. If we refinanced might get a shyster deal, know who we are with, trust them and do not want any additional burden such as the refinancing charge to apply.
I wish I could drink coffee... loads of caffine with none of the
calories! I can't drink it wihtout putting loads of sugar and milk in it, then it isnt very low cal after that!!!! I love the smell of coffee and I wish I could just drink it, but I can't get over the taste.
I was off today and pretty much was a slug all day. I did 2 loads of laundry,
I never do that, but it sure felt good at the moment. Of course, tonight, I spent some time in the bathroom...what goes in, must come out I guess.
Good way to make loads of money, surrogate mothering
Watching a news show this morning and I am seeing a 42-year-old woman who is a surrogate mother. I am really taken aback at seeing this as most 42 year olds would be considered a higher maternal risk because of their age. The surrogate mothering agency says they have seen a dramatic increase in the people wanting to rent their uterus. The agency said the surrogates make between $18,000 and $20,000 something for each baby. Would you be one?
