Ginny, My little one had it...

I have a little Papillon who had this surgery when she was 2. She did very well. Good as new in fact after about 4-6 weeks in a full leg cast. We had to carry her everywhere, but now she is doing great. She is 4 years old now. She chases the squirrels to her hearts content. It cost about $1500. It sounds to me like you could use a second opinion or a third. I got 3 before I made up my mind where to do the surgery. I'm not sure what I would do if my dog was as old as yours. I would get several opinions and weigh your options as to what would be best for the dog. Good luck. Hope everything works out for your little one.

Ginny, you're welcome but we need to thank..sm
We need to thank Mother Teresa (who is still *listening* from above, I do believe)....*S*
And I was not even raised in her organized religious faith-but feel that I am of her *own personal faith*.......and looked up to her for decades and still do. What I typed here is on a plaque in my house, and I have given this plaque as a gift too to others, and is something I try to live by 24/7/365 (tho not ALWAYS succeeding, being a mere human with flaws)....
Have a GREAT one!!!
Oh Ginny! I will be praying for you. Please keep me updated. sm
Seeing a post like yours really puts things into perspective. You're so calm. What an inspiration to me!
And to everyone who responded, God bless you. You have helped me immensely, and the long lunch I had today with my best friend helped much too!
I'll let you all know the results. Was told that the next mammogram won't be until Dec. 27.........
