Great show...he blends science with food.  It's perfect for those of us with attention-span-holding issues!

My cat only eats dog food and won't eat cat food or even tuna.
LOL
There is another guy on the food channel who eats yucky!
NM
My Sheltie eats dog food on a regular basis...

but he loves baby carrots.  My cat, on the other hand, LOVES apples.  Never had a cat that ate anything other than cat food.

I am using Angel Food Network for help with food (sm)
Being much more careful not to waste food. No more fast food. Soda only if bought in a two-liter bottle, not singles or fountain. Most of my money waste was spent on food.
food network channel

I watch the Food channel and now they have a special:  Giada in Paradise.  Love love love Santorini (Greece) where this is filmed but I am so distracted by Giada's massive ginormous head and large numbers of teeth along with her phony inflection. It is driving me nuts!  How mean am I??  She just irks me and it's ruining the show for me.

Next Food Network Star sm
I am watching right now to see who the winner will be.  They said this is the 3rd Next Food Network star.  I know Guy won last year and does Guy's Big Bite and Diners, Drive ins, and Dives.  Does anyone know who the first Food Network Star was?  I don't even remember that competition.  Thanks.
Errr FOOD network.

Big difference between food and foot - MTing too long!

Tiramisu? Try Food Network for ideas, too. nm

her $$ wasn't big coming from food network

but she NEVER hit the BIG TIME until Oprah took her under her wing early last year.........and is why her talk show was put on the same channel as Oprah's show.

I really liked and preferred Rachael Ray when she was new, on food network, from upstate NY when it didn't all GO TO HER HEAD!  Now, instead, I find her annoying and NEVER watch her anymore.

JMO.

Someone on main board I think, recommended angel food network, which (sm)
I have been familiar with in the past. You might want to check that out as a way to save a lot of money on your food bill.
lol! The food stunk too IMO. Not very good.

Schwans - Good for on the go food

I have a family of five (two teens).  Schwans is great for grab and go food but I have found that it is much too expensive to feed the whole family.

We buy bagel dogs and pot pies regularly because my hub takes the pot pies for lunch when I dont cook and my daughter and sons (as do DH and I ) love the bagel dogs when we need something to eat on the run.

They have some sugar free fudgesicles (?sp?) that are wonderful.

Too each his own

Eat really good, no "fat' food drive through
as my husband calls them instead of fast food, no Cokes, no sweetened drinks, go organic if possible, olive oil only for cooking, very seldom sweets, don’t have a one in the home right now, but after prednisone for an illness as above, hard to get the weight off.
Yes, canned food is very good for cats SM
I give my 3 cats one can a day. It has water in it, so it keeps them well-hydrated. My cats love the new Meow Mix wet food. They have been eating it for a year without any problems at all.
Here, too. Ginormous food bills! No trips for us. Some good chocolate &

cheap eats
There are plenty of cheap eats in the city once you learn your way around. For example, the fruit in Chinatown is fantastic, and a whole lot cheaper than what I pay in my town. But my very, very, very favorite is a Middle Eastern pushcart on 6th and 56th(?) outside the Hilton. They sell a chicken and rice dish for $4 that is amazing. It is a huge amount of food, and I usually split with my daughter. Throw a couple of drinks in and we have spent $6 for a yummy lunch for two.

It is not unsanitary like you might think. They have been there for years and are extremely popular. Last time we went to NYC, we stayed in Brooklyn and made a special trip to the pushcart. They are there during the week for lunch only.
Labor Day eats
Baked bean.  Roasted corn on the cob.
Who is your favorite TV host?

Any type of TV show, news, entertainment, informational/educational, sales, food, decorating, whatever!

I think my favorite has to be Mike Rowe from Dirty Jobs. He just cracks me up.

Who's yours?

The view - new host
I saw Roseanne on the view a few weeks ago and she seems to have really mellowed. But to watch her everyday - no way. I think she would turn into a Rosie or worse. I would like to see another younger person on - perhaps a bit older than Elisabeth - but someone definitely in their 30's early 40's and someon who doesn't begin with an agenda. Then I might watch again.
Whoopie! New co-host of the view is

Whoopie Goldberg!

I know am going to watch again!

Rosie just turned my stomach.  Blechhhhhh.

Good job, Babs.

Now Roseanne is supposed to host The View? SM
If they want a kvetchy Jewish woman to host, I would be glad to oblige. But Roseanne? Oy Vey!
Onto NY Eve - do we go out, host a party, or play it dull
s
no one changes their personality..
wake up now before its too late.  I'm just a few years older than you and I'm glad I didn't settle for something less than what I expected.  Sure you have to think of your children and that is 1 more reason not to put up with crap. Best of luck to you though.
pit personality
You know when my male pit that is inside turned a year and a half old he got real protective over us & VERY dog aggressive. There is no doubt in my mind he wouldn't kill another dog because he is just a completely different dog when he sees a strange dog he doesn't know. BUT there is no way he would turn that aggression towards us. AND I knew he was going to more than likely be that way because he has Boudreaux bloodline & his mother was aggressive. But that didn't keep me from falling in love with him or owning him. I just have to be careful that he doesn't come in contact with another dog. He has a fenced in yard and if another dog approaches the fence I give him his command to come inside & he does so. All too often this type aggression that some pits can display gets mistaken for people aggression, but these are two totally different things.
My ChiChi mix eats fruits & veggies all day! Peppers, peaches, hummus,
s
You like Bill O'reilly?(Former host on Inside Edition)

Radio show host Mike Gallagher...
offered them airtime on his show if they would call off the protest for the VT person's funeral and they agreed. The article I read said this radio host did the same thing when he heard they were going to protest the Amish school shooting funeral. All this Phelps retard wants is to get his "message" out there and so I guess he's going to use the radio to do it now, instead of the funeral.
personality/alcohol
Both, I think. Alcohol makes personality traits creep out from under the woodwork. Surly, sarcastic, belittling, called me four letter words in front of the kids. Yes, I consider the way he talks to you to be abuse, especially if this is how he talks to you most of the time. Of course, everything was my fault. An alcoholic does no wrong. It is never their fault, even when they are down to their last dime with no family left. My children were 14 and 16. However, they did not go with me. He had brainwashed them into thinking that he was the only one who could provide for them, that I could only work for minimus wage and that they would have nothing without him. I stayed in the same town, we had joint custody, he had residential. He has since died and my kids and I are fine.
No. It's a personality type to try to fix
things. A fixer (a male trait that some women have) doesn't realize it when a person is just asking for sympathy, not actual help. They think that by coming up with a practical solution, in this case, an honest way for you to make some cash and everybody to enjoy a little pampering for a small price, she has helped solve your problem. She has no idea this would be offensive and hurtful to you. If you complain she will be shocked because she honestly thought you were asking for help.

I had to figure this out because I have this trait and it's really hard for me to tell if somebody wants help or just a pity party.

Pitbulls personality
I totally sympathize with you. Sorry for you having to go through this. I really try to urge people when they get a pitbull to really get to know the mom/dad personalities & the breeder. Like I said in an earlier post my male pitbull that is inside is VERY dog aggressive BUT on the flip side he is the most gentle loving dog I have ever owned. He just doesn't like other animals, ESPECIALLY dogs. We have a fenced in yard though. If he come in contact with an unfamiliar dog he would definitely be in kill mode with his aggression. BUT I knew what I was getting myself into cuz he is Boudreaux bloodline & his mother was aggressive. His father was an absolute sweetheart to anything. I knew that aggression would probably surface up in my dog & it did at a year and a half old, but I wouldn't ever trade him up for anything in this world. He wouldn't dare turn on us, and I know that animal or dog aggression is not people aggression. I do have a great respect for what could happen if I let it happen, but I am responsible enough to know what my dogs like & don't like & I never have a problem out of them. They are definitely a vital part of our family & we love them dearly.
she may have a passive personality, is all.

what channel, what time? I want to respond to that host in a negative manner

My hormones rule my personality
and I'm tired of it also. I have many problems with ovarian cysts, etc. I believe if you have problems like these, it is worse. I never know what kind of mood I'll be in, and neither does anyone else :) One minute I can be laughing and the next I'll be screaming in anger. There are a lot of natural things out there they say help, I have not tried any but may do that soon. Here's just one article I found....

Personality wise? I am probably most like Blanche! LOL

Sounds like a personality disorder
to me. Perhaps Borderline Personality Disorder, or personality disorder NOS. Maybe, though, it is hormonal. An abundance in testosterone CAN cause aggressive behavior, mood fluctuations, etc.

I hope you get to the root of the problem. But, the main thing that concerns me is his unwillingness to be evaluated or even admit that there may be a problem. This is what leads me to believe it's a personality disorder (borderline). People afflicted with this and anti-social personality disorder often do not admit that anything is off keel with themselves. Rather, it's alway's *someone else's* problem/matter/issue.

Good luck to you. I'll be thinking of you. Please keep us posted. The erratic behavior is really concerning.
alcoholics have personality changes; talk to AA group

Watch the foot network. sm
I started watching food net work a couple of years ago.  It is amazing how much I have learned.  Especially Emeril, R. Ray and Sandra Lee.  Good luck, hope you and your family enjoy your new cooking skills.
We are experiencing some Network Problems.
We are working on the issue and it will be fine soon.

Thanks,
MTStars Support Team.
have had all three, Dish Network superior
if you have an HDTV I would not recommend cable at all. It may not be true for all cable companies but Adelphia looked horrid on ours. Had Dish Network years ago and they were horrible in the customer service department...never again!!!
I have Dish Network and I saw it just fine.
Even recorded it. Too bad I don't know how to send it to you.
As others have said, it's a network marketing (MLM) model like the others, but also -- sm
...generally, the only folks who make decent money in an MLM or network marketing scheme are those who get in on the ground floor, or very near the start. This particular company has been around for so many years that I'm doubtful there's much money to be made at this point (except for your distant upline) unless you are REALLY the salesman type.

If you want to act as a distributor without the pressure or need to convert others into distributors, as well, you could look into something like Vitamin Power (and others), which don't require all of that nonsense. You simply sign on to be a distributor then get the product at wholesale prices, which you in turn then sell to others at a markup. In fact, you don't even need to maintain an inventory, as they'll drop-ship for you. (Case in point, though I'm a distributor for them, I would get absolutely NOTHING for bringing you into the business, and I'm certainly not trying to do that here, as you can sign up with them, or a similar company, on your own.) In any case, I'd suggest avoiding multi-level marketing schemes altogether.
I have had two network cards knocked out by lightening.

Like the Voom programming on Dish Network
our favorites. We were crushed when they stopped showing Voom programing
The people from Clean House on Style network. NM

WIRELESS NETWORK!!!- sounds like you are getting hacked (for lack of a better term)
You need to secure your network. Check outside your home at these times for a strange car. A neighbor with a teenage boy or girl using a wifi connection to access your network getting on a porn or gaming site that bills via a VOIP dial-up It can be done.

you want to make sure they cant access you need to secure your network with passwords and such and turn your router off at night when you go to bed no wireless = no connection.

Hope this helps feel free to email if you need some more info.
