It's not so much feeling bad about going on disability (though that is part of it).  It just feels that in the last three years since I've been diagnosed with all this, I was naive enough to believe I could still work, and I did, though the first year, my income was cut in half and declined every year after.  First, I lost, of all things, my healthy insurance when the premium went from $622 to $711.  Then I lost my car when it was repossessed.  I had BEGGED them for months to take this car because I was sick and couldn't afford it.  They finally did, and as far as I know, they're not going to sue me for the difference they got at auction and the amount financed, which some of them do, so I'm appreciateive for that.  Then I lost my phone.  Though I still have my internet, I am probably going to lose that soon because the price keeps getting higher and higher and higher.  (Do you or anyone else know of a reliable cable TV/internet service that might be less expensive?)

I believe my Social Security hearing is going to be scheduled within a few months.  I've already been infromed that my monthly payment wll be around $1,000 which, to me, sounds like a million dollars.  I also have permission to work and earn a few hundred more a month.  Problem seems to be I  can't wrok, and so the biggest thing to me, that I lost, was my job because I loved that job and had a great employer.

I had to smile to read, "I have always so much enjoyed your viewpoints on this board, as we share very similar ones, so I hope you will continue to post on here."  LOL.  You might have enjoyed my viewpoints, but there ain't too many others who do, eh?  And, as usual, I don't care.  I think continuing to post there would be thereapeutic for me.  The only problem is that I can't keep up with the news and there are days at a time when my computer isn't even on.

I can't even begin to thank you for your support.  It means very, very much to me. 

P.S.  I also want to apologize if there are typos in my posts.  I'm usually a perfectionist in spelling and punctuation, and I've lost a great deal of it.  Just can't do it any more.  I had found myself making little mistakes in my jobs and hopefully fixed them all before sending them back, but I'm not sure.  That's another reason I quit.  My employer deserved the best, and she wasn't getting that from me.  I figured it was better to quitinsted of being fired for having something like a 50% accuracy number.

At any store that sells puppies and kittens.  Why?  Because they all come from puppy mills or other questionable "breeders" (despite their denials).  I would never put money in the pockets of a puppy miller. 

my FIL worked as a security guard for several Elvis Presley's Memphis events.  He was a sheriff department reserve officer and they were chosen regularly for Elvis' appearances.

Anybody go to high school or college with someone that now is famous?  My husband graduated high school with Dennis Basso.  He is a designer who is on QVC a lot.  I want my husband to call QVC everytime he is on to chat with him for laughs but he refuses.  He says he was a loner in school, Dennis, I mean. Now look at him. Bringing home the big $$$$$

DAYTON - Gloria Murphy gave children celebrating her 55th birthday alcohol and then had sex with a 12-year-old boy at the party on Thursday, Jan. 29, according to police.

The boy got into Murphy’s bed at 5440 Rawlings Drive, where the married woman had sex with her adolescent neighbor, according to police and Montgomery County prosecutors. 

Two of the children at the party ran home at about 6 a.m. Jan. 30 and told a parent they saw the boy and woman having sex, according to 911 audio.

The parent then called police at about 6:15 a.m., according to a police report and 911 audio.

Murphy did not force the boy to have sex, but since he is younger than 13, it is considered rape, Lt. Patrick Welsh said. No other children were involved in the sexual encounter, but some other children at the party consumed alcohol, according to police.

We have opened our home to a lady and her son (formerly our neighbors) who have been left homeless after her husband left her for another woman and stopped paying rent, thus they were evicted.  She is functionally illiterate, but she is trying to find work, and has worked in the past.  We are doing our best to make her feel welcome and be a support system during this difficult time. 

Before she came to stay with us, I made sure the bedroom (actually my daughter's bedroom, who is now sleeping in the spare bed in her brothers' giant bedroom -- really no problem there) was comfortable and furnished the bed with an electric blanket, a down comforter, a quilt, and a trunk with extra blankets, as this bedroom is at the corner of the house and if the door is closed it gets quite chilly.  When the weather dropped down to subzero, I got out a little tabletop fan/heater to warm up the room before she went to bed, which I do in my room also, because I can't sleep with a cold nose.  However, now I am finding that, even with the temperatures in the 30s outside, she is running this heater all night long!  I'm scared to see just how much this is going to raise our electric bill, and I don't feel it is necessary with an electric blanket.  I don't want to offend her or make her feel unwelcome.  She is in a delicate spot.  Do you think I should just let it roll off my back, or should I ask her to turn the heater off before she goes to sleep?  What would you do?  It's not going to break me, but things are really tight around here anyway, and more so now that we are feeding the two of them and providing transportation for them as well.

Just a thought though, maybe she is afraid of the electric blanket?  I have one friend who refuses to use one, even though her own home is absolutely freezing.  She said one caught on fire when she was a kid (like 30+ years ago) and she will never use one again.  Is privacy an issue?  Could she leave the door to the room open at night so the heat from whatever the other source is can warm it up a tad? 

Again, I think what you are doing for her is just AMAZING

...of encouragement!  I've always been strong and considered myself to be a 2-legged workhorse, often out lastingmore limber 'kids' and even men when it comes to doing heavy-duty tasks, so to be completely worn out after only a few minutes of mildly strenuous activity is a major bummer to say the least. 

When I say 'crippled up' I guess I mean more stiff and sore than physically crippled wtih limbs and joints I can't straighten out.  However, the pain is so bad I can't even get out of bed without almost falling down and the snap, crackle, and pop when I move around first thing in the morning can even be heard by my husband. 

I do sleep like a log though...nothing wakes me up...I'm down at 10 p.m. and up at 7--and only because I have to pee, otherwise I'm sure I'd sleep until almost noon.  I used to only need 6-7 hours of sleep a night and was a morning person...the annoying kind who could jump out of bed, get dressed, and have chores done, house cleaned, and all ready to sit down to work by 7 a.m...now I absolutely dread getting out of bed because it means I'm gonna be a hurtin' unit all day.

I've been tested for Lyme and that was negative.  The other blood test did have letters...I'm thinking it was that ANA thing but not 100% sure. 

The only thing I've taken for pain relief is Tylenol or naproxen but neither work really well and that naproxen just eats my gut away.  This early winter certainly isn't helping and I've been dreaming by visiting Realtor.com of finding some place else that's not as artic. 

Oye.  Time will tell.  I have another appt this Friday so we'll see what happens then.  Thanks a bunch for listening and offering me advice and well wishes.  They are all appreciated like you have no idea!!!
