I just checked the tracking on my equipment package (yes I'm avoiding work) and they took out of the tracking that it was ever here and it left Washington yestday. Good gravy.

Went through this a few times. Are you having company for Thanksgiving? Call and ask people to bring something for your "care package," which could include anything from Life Saver Candy to sunscreen. With Halloween candy being marked way down, you could check the stores for non-perishable hard candy, etc. They love to share things with their buddies, it makes them feel important. I did this at Christmas with the Gulf War and when I brought the box to the post office, the person handling it started crying, as he was a veteran himself. It doesn't have to be that big, just enough non-perishables to pass around,,,then you could include something personal. My son went around to different spots in town and took a video of landmarks. I don't know how you would do this with today's technology. Just remember that it's hot there. Depending on your finances, you can be as creative as you like. Phone cards, books, flashlight, disposable cameras with return mailer from Staples for you to develop, gosh, the choices are so varied. Perhaps it would be best if you share more personal information about him and his likes/dislikes, how much you want to spend, etc. You could even share his name and address so the people on the board can send him a greeting card. People are very generous. My brother received 40 cards from my son's class and he never forgot mail day and went to the school to thank everyone when he got home. Good luck with it,you have a good heart! Make sure everything is non-perishable or the heat will wreck it.

There are lots of places that you can get married without it costing a lot of money and have the pictures, minister, music, flowers, reception, etc. and keep it small in size.
What state do you live in so we can help you find places?

I dont know exactly how many adults live in the U.S., I wonder instead of giving all this money to companies, why not just split all the money they were going to give to companies to us? Hmmm how much would we get if they did that? One trillion dollars split between us...
I would think it would be like $50 thousand each huh? I would think that would stimulate the Country. $100 thousand a couple, is a lot.
People would buy at least one big item I am sure, like a car(auto), down payment on a house(real estate), fix up their house (contractors, wood supply stores), start a business they always wanted to but didnt have the money(more tax money) , Fix there car( body shops and supply chains), take that trip (Airlines, cruise ships, hotels, resorts, clothing for your trip) and or ect.
I would also think that they would buy a few stocks since they are low(wallstreet), put some in savings(banks) and I am sure you would start eating out a little bit more. (Restaurants, food supplies)
What would you do with that kind of money, if given to you?
Not that you would spend it all, but what would you do with it?
After he shot the first 2 victims, he mailed this package
to NBC I believe before he started the second assault. That was only part of the whole package. There were the pictures and a video that he apparently made over a long period of time. Some of what he says cannot be understood either because he is mumbling.
The package was given to the FBI and I am sure they will release some kind of statement after going over everything.
His thoughts were so erratic, and I find it odd how he did mention so many political references. I also think there might have been some molestation going on.
I do not think he did this because he was Korean, but that does not mean that his family were not anti-American and teaching him hateful propaganda which in turn could put that hatefulness in his heart towards others.
Most all Asian people I've known or been around are very productive members of society, very well educated, have good work ethics and are great people.
Something in this boy's life made him so hateful though. He was not just born that way.
And, revolution? That just sickens me. What did these kids do to anyone or to him for that matter?

We wanted to have them make something...just baked cookies and made ornaments. After reading below will also add jolly ranchers and beef jerky...will the cookies ship ok? Do you have suggestions? I have to ship them today. They are in ziplocks and cushioned with tissue paper - any other suggestions? Thanks!!
