Just seeing your post and stating 53 and from a different generation and thus against guy's ears being pierced- please do not assume- you are so wrong- I just posted above about loving my man's ear piecing and wanting him to get another and I am 65!!!

Not everyone is in financial straits because they "live beyond their means" so to speak whatever that means. Sometimes you lose your job. Sometimes you have an illness or an injury. When did trying to pay utilities, rent, food, just basic needs become "living beyond your means." I'm living beyond my means I guess because I can barely afford the necessities. What do I cut out? Electricity? Food? Shelter? I don't even have TV because where I live you need satellite to get any channels and I can't afford it. (Don't really miss it though). I need my phone and ISP to bring in the little money I do make. We all don't have a second income to fall back on. Please don't generalize that people are in debt for things you think they don't need.

I dont think people who celebrate Christmas should have
to work so you can buy groceries when you want them. I'm sorry, but that is like saying auto mechanics should stay open on Christmas Day so you can get your car fixed at your convenience or that the Post Office should stay open on Christmas Day so you can buy stamps when you want them. This is a front tooth but I would be willing to try it. I cant get an implant because of so much bone loss and quite frankly I have had so many apicos etc I am sick of dental surgery. All this was due to a fall when I was a kid.

You were not a single mother, you were a separated or divorced mother. I was a divorced mother, had 2 children also and I never had to get food stamps or welfare. I worked more than 1 job and made it. I had absolutely no money coming in from my husband. I found you can feed children, if need be, on potatoes and beans. I bought my own home, bought my own cars, everything I did on my own. I have seen so much welfare/food stamp fraud I hope they will revert back to the old way of giving out cheeze and mystery chicken in the can.

My elderly aunt is in her 80s. I am in early 60s. She has a much better memory than me and she has a close friend who is a scatterbrain like your friend. We are not forgetful because we want to be, it is something we cannot help. I have to write myself notes in order to remember very important things regarding business, etc. I hand my husband very, very important business related matters or else once in my hand they are probably lost. I have a file and put things there but then when I have to have, go looking and looking to find. I have a daughter totally organized and wish I were. Believe me when I am saying your friend does not try to do this.

to stay in a marriage when you stated you are not happy, you want out and you do not love him. Why stay in this marriage? You know the answer and you do not need validation or feel bad because you want out. There is nothing worse than having to wake up and go to bed with a person you do not love. Life is to short to stay in a loveless marriage. Be good to yourself and be happy. Why have regrets when you are older.

I am dying to get OUT of a 'fancy-pants' area and back into the country, but there are tons of stuff not so much fun in the country, too, like being ostracized (Sp?) for being different. I'd give my eye-teeth (where did THAT saying come from?!) to find a middle ground: Progressive rural.

I agree. I could never understand why people bragged about the size of their refund.
It just means they let the government accrue interest on their money throughout the year. I aim for less than $100 difference between what I owe and what I pay in every year. Yes, my refund is smaller, but I would rather put that money into savings or my retirement fund on a monthly basis than let Uncle Sam "hold it for me" all year long.

I thought that the purpose of this board was to be able to post without being judged unfairly or have somebody tell you how wonderful their personal life is, and therefore you are causing their life to be less wonderful with your irresponsibility. Well, the saying "walk a mile in my shoes" is a good one in this case. Since you have no personal information about the person you are lambasting because they are looking for information on their debt, you can feel superior. Had you had personal information about them, you might act in a more human manner. Consider fighting cancer for 4 years, working and being debilitated while you do, suffering the effects of chemo, going into debt to maintain your home for your children and looking for a way out of debt SHOULD YOU EVEN LIVE THROUGH THIS!! Thank you for the kind comments. To the judgmental people I say please take a step back before you judge. You do not know who you are talking to and if you knew the personal information maybe your comments would be kinder.

actually... dont think so!
I mean, I think a lot of mutts probably have some kind of pit in them... but my trainer believe's Bailey is a jack russel/border collie (he is SOOOO Hyperactive you wouldn't believe) and Rylee, her mom was a full bred american bulldog (at around 100 pounds). We don't know what her dad was, but we think boxer (or maybe pit?) but she is a 360 from Bailey and is calm and SOOOOOo sooo sweet the sweetest girl ever :) here's them when i first had them, bailey was about 3 months and Rylee was about 10 weeks I think...
They still want to be held to this day :) big ol lap dogs.

a cell phone if I am in a store as long as it is not to argue with family etc. My son has one and sometimes he will use it in a store to call me and ask me something regarding an item I asked to grab for me while there etc. I have also heard husbands talking to their partners asking questions regarding food shopping while in an isle. That doesnt seem to bother me at all..

rude towards you by what she said. I think she was just letting you know how some doctors feel. I did work as a nurse for 15 years prior to transcription and she is right. Some doctors just hate it when a suggestion is made by someone other than themselves even a nurse, they do not like it and also will not listen or suggest the same thing. Some, not all seem to think only they know best. I do agree with one of the other posters that a good doctor is a doctor that listens to you. Good luck and I do hope you feel better soon.

i have all fake bridges and partials on the top of my mouth. i only have 1 jaw tooth left on the top that is my tooth, and its fine. i have had this knot for probably 6 or 8 years. but its usually about pea-sized. everytime i am diagnosed with a sinus infection it flares, but never this bad.

 I hate that now in GA it is state law that they have to have it at age 13. You know statistically girls have already had sex by that age, which is VERY SAD. First they said only girls that have not been sexually active and now it is for any girl who wants it. Very confusing. I am just so sick about the government stepping in on this. If my daughters and I feel that they need to have it, then it should be up to us, not some fat guy sitting in an office saying it is better for us. I think more studies should have been done before they made it a law. That is all. Other then that I feel that it is like any other shot... some people dont get flu shots every year... are flu shots bad? Can they make you sick, yes sometimes, but people should not be forced into a flu shot!

all kinds of caps and crowns that cover the teeth, have a great smile now as compared to when I was younger. I had the more whiter teeth put in but with coffee, etc. they tend to not look as stark white as you speak of. I love my smile.

that's AWFUL. Pitbulls are not the ONLY DOGS that are "vicious!" Though it is true that this is the wellest known breed to have been bred for fighting... every single pitbull i have ever encountered is amazing. They have this bad rap, and immediately people are scared of them. I'm friends with a guy who has one, full bred, GORGEOUS female pit... and she is the SWEETEST thing. I know we have had the pitbull debate thing here already< i just wanted to say im not sure how you can work for an animal rescue when that is their policy.

What you are going through is normal. I have been married for 15 years and had the same doubts you have. Where you are confused is in thinking that life is over when the partying or going out stops. You can still have fun, just in different ways. Find common interests, hobbies that you and your husband can do together. You will find that you get the same satisfaction out of working on projects together that you do with going out and partying. The key thing is being together, having fun no matter what you are doing. You can still party, it just changes in that you don't go bar hopping anymore and instead invite over some friends to grill and drink some cocktails. I think you are inside your head a bit too much right now and just need to jump outta there and sit back and relax. Enjoy being married. You have a long a happy life ahead of you.

Man, you would have appreciated the time one of my relative's popped a HUGE cyst on her face. I was standing right next to her at the time and leaned back because I knew it was going to blow. It did! Big time! All over the wall, mirror and light fixture. I'm still disgusted by the thought of it 10 years later. LOL In a revering kind of way...
