It doesn't matter what century
either. The fact is homosexuality is a sin and I will have no part of any business that supports it.
I doesn't matter if you like Ann Coulter or not. I am not even
very familiar with her, other than hearing her name. She has a good point. If the illegals couldn't get the jobs, they couldn't stay here. Prosecute the owners of companies who hire them. Put a few CEOs in prison, problem solved.
I like to eat--doesn't matter if I'm hungry or not.
During high school, I lost about 30 pounds eating only 1 salad a day and Special K cereal for breakfast. I ran about 5 miles a day and was able to lose 30 pounds in 30 days. It was a complete turnaround for me. I gained self-esteem. I kept the weight off until I went to college.
Of course, in college, I started to revert to my old eating habits and didn't exercise much. I had settled to a comfortable 180 pounds (which wasn't bad for my height/build) when I got married. After the birth of my first child, I weighed in at about 220. When he turned 1, I tried some sort of diet pill (probably had ephedra in it) and lost down to 170. I felt wonderful. I kept that off until 3 years later when I had my second child. I lost some of the baby weight, but not all of it. Two years later, I had my third child. I weighed about 230 pounds and really wanted to lose. I tried Stacker with ephedra and lost like 40 pounds in 6 weeks. I felt wonderful. I kept that off for 2 years.
At that point, I started Effexor and the weight just slowly crept up on me. I won't blame it entirely on Effexor, but that seemed to be the start of it. Now, I'm up to 250 pounds - the most I think I've ever weighed and I would kill to see 200 pounds again. I've been contemplating a few weight loss options and can't seem to decide on one. I've tried most of the ephedra products, phenteramine prescribed by my doc, Nutri-System (but only for 2 weeks - the food was yuck!).
I'm seriously considering WW but would like to have an appetite suppressant to help me out initially. I know from past experience that diet pills only work for so long, but I really think that if I could just get in the groove, I'd be okay. I like to exercise. I only work about 4 hours a day, so I have the time. I just can't seem to control what I eat. I especially love to eat late at night when watching TV. I can do so good all day long and then 10 o'clock comes and I ruin it.
My other problem is that I'm not much of a veggie eater. The only veggies I really like are corn, potatoes, and green beans. The starchy ones. I like fruit, but it's not very filling. I get tired of eating chicken and I'm not much of a fish eater. I'd really rather eat a cheesesteak most of the time or pizza. I love junk food - chips, candy bars, nachos, cookies. I eat when I'm not hungry just for the sheer taste.
Okay, I know I'm nuts and I probably have some sort of eating disorder, so what I'm really wondering is: Is there a good appetite suppressant? I've been checking a few on-line and I can't seem to find a bona fide review by someone who's used the product. These are the ones I'm considering: Leptovox, Fenphedra, Proactol.
Anyone try any of these and did you see results? I know I have to eat healthier and exercise. I'm okay with that if I could just get my cravings under control.
Doesn't matter about the Do Not Call list sm
I'm on it and they still call me.
You are not understanding me. It doesn't matter how he gets the info. sm
If he works for the police department he most certainly can go into the archives or whatever you want to call it and pull up this guy's history or past. I'm telling you, they can do that. It is not a secret. Someone's police records are NOT a secret at all. Nothing like a medical record. All records are public knowledge. You can obtain them. You can obtain a rap sheet on ANYONE if they have one and you ask for one. If a business were to do a criminal background check you are given one on that person if they have a background. These records are not protected. The paper can run your history, anyone can run your criminal history and I think it's great.
It really doesn't matter if it was a male or female
Whey the He!! are we discussing whether or not a female would ever do this. What happened was horrible! Plain and simple. Whey even bring the sex of the person into this? If that is what you are concerned about then you are totally missing the point of the story!
A wedding ring doesn't matter. Either
the guy is true to his wife and family or not, wearing a ring does not make a difference.
A Christmas Story....it doesn't matter that I've seen it sm
a million times, I still love it. Have you seen the DVD with the interviews with several of the kids that are now grown up?
Go affter it, doesn't matter how long it takes!
Doesn't matter if he loses his job, then it is in the 'system' and whenever he holds a job, he has to pay!
Good luck!
I don't SAY I'm Christian, I AM Christian. It doesn't matter how many 'pages'
need to be ONE item and I wouldn't shop there. "...people, just like the rest of us...", "these types of attitudes..." hmmm...well, I stand by my convictions, it doesn't mean I'm judging anyone. It's my choice not to shop at stores that sell gay and lesbian related items. Say you're lesbian and your with your partner, and we bumped into each other in the mall, I wouldn't be disrespectful to you, but that doesn't mean that I agree with your lifestyle either.
Sorry Anne but I am an Indians
fan so...
GO TRIBE!!! :-)
I meant the indians, silly nm

It doesn't matter "where you stand." What works for you is fine. What works for me is fine.
Comparing ourselves as to frequency is ridiculous.
Hey, have at it. If you want a lazy, apathetic, not affectionate, doesn't listen, doesn't make
can reach him!!! Let me know if you're interested.
It doesn't make me mad but it doesn't sound intelligent either (sm)
I am sure if all of those people who were aborted were living, some would be good and some would be bad, in the same proportion as there is good to bad now. Your statement makes no sense. So somehow the babies who were aborted were meant to be aborted because they were bad seeds? Whatever. Sorry, that's just silly.
It doesn't always work that way though - some give but it doesn't come back like that nm
x
Tell them it is against your religion.
That has worked for me and have had some say, really? I just refuse, simple for me.
They treat you this way cause you allow it.Can only

As far as I know, it sounds like her religion....
is Penecostal. I believe that the women in that religion wears skirts at all times. Jehovah's Witnesses do not wear skirts all the time, only when attending congregation meetings and when out in their ministry that they do.
I feel very sorry for the OP because it sounds like her & hubby are good friends to the couple. It is true that divorce hurts everyone....what's worse is that marriage can sometimes hurt everyone too.
In a case like this, it is better to just be supportive to both parties and try not to take sides, hopefully they will iron things out.
This is not religion, this is MYTH.

No MT, no politics, no religion. Anything else is ok.

I am not trying to be disrespectful but her religion- sm
is/was her business. If I was on my deathbed the last thing I would want do discuss with my relatives would be if I had accepted Jesus into my heart, etc. I really hate it that new "christians" feel it is there mission in life to "save" everybody and feel they have to convert everybody and save them from themselves. My dad has recently refound religion and it is causing lots of strife in our family which is very non-religious. No one wants to be with him because his is constantly nagging us to go to church with him, to convert, etc. He blamed it on my mom (who is dead) as the reason why he did not return to the church sooner - horsepucky as Colonel Potter would say-- once she died he was re-born 3 months later. I am not baptist, nor do I go to church, nor do my kids. They know about Jesus and God though, but I don't feel the need or desire to go to church every Sunday and hand them over 10% of our gross income which in our case would almost pay for a second house. You should not be worrying about your grandmother's salvation, worry about yourself and stop trying to save the world. I am sure she is where she wanted to be and her spirit will live on in your heart and memories.
That's the Muslim Religion
Haven't you seen or heard how they treat their women, especially with all the stuff happening in the Middle East now. They are the ruler of the family and the women must cow-tow [sic] to them.
IOW, women are second class citizens in their world just like it used to be in the U.S. before Susan B. Anthony and others. If you daughter wants to be independent, there is no way it will happen being married to him. I wouldn't even bother telling the parents since they are getting a divorce, BUT MAKE SURE you get a restraining order on him or else it may get very dangerous.
I don't mean to scare you, but please be careful.
woodchucks & religion
How much wood could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could wood? Gotta smile....As for the posts about religion, let the Christians be.... It matters not whether you're Baptsit, Jewish, Budhist, Christian, Hindu, Catholic, AME Zion, 7th day Adventists, Jehovah's Witnesses, atheists...There's a lot more people here in the US with diverse backgrounds and beliefs....That's what makes this country so great...freedom of speech and the freedom to practice the religion of your choice Lighten up.
This is too much! I was just over on the Religion board and sm
someone posted a link to Alan Jackson's How Great Thou Art. It was an amazing tribute. Then another slow song came on after that and I came over here while letting the music play in the background. I was doing fine until I read about the 10 y.o. getting fitted for dentures. I am bawling my eyes out over here! I have a sweet, precious, well-behaved 10 year old son. I can't imagine. I just can't. O God, help us.
Never had a cat before? You are in for a real treat (sm)
Cats are just so cool. I have 3 dogs and my 20 year old cat just died in Feb. They work their way into your heart just like dogs do, but in many ways are so much easier to deal with. And they have this way of looking at you when you give them the "wrong" food that day, like you have just totally lost your mind. If you're gone for a few days, your dogs will be so excited to see you when you get back. Cats will act like they don't care, and are just so uninterested that you came back (till an hour or so later when they decide to "forgive" you. As you can probably see, I miss my baby. Best of luck with yours.
TLR- ice cream treat
And by the way thanks to some of the ones that don't mind reading them!!
I decided to take a much deserved break a lot earlier than usual from the craziness going on today and plus it was so beautiful out I couldn't sit any longer. Cupid and I went to Bruesters Ice Cream for a treat. He was sooo excited he ran up to the stand!! I think he knew something special was waiting there for him! It was the first time we went to there so he didn't know what was there yet. The first thing the girl asked me was if I wanted a doggie dish. When he got it, there was a little dog biscuit stuck in the icecream. It was so cute. I hope your having a good evening, later.
Just found the best cat treat EVER -- sm
it's called Kitty Kaviar-- but I think it should be called Kitty Krack, LOL
It is thin dried flakes of real tuna and my cats cannot get enough (and they are fairly finicky).
My male kitty is diabetic and with these treats he lets me test him and give him his shots without any fuss whatsoever.
No not treat yourself -- see message
I type for a psychologist well known in my area whose caseload is 75% ADD. He does a lot of natural remedies and supplements. A good book is Brain Gym that helps with exercises to train the brain to be focuses. A lot of exercise is necessary. Lots of protein, DEH, etc. But without getting him evaluated you are shooting in the dark as to what will and what will not help. Insurance pays for it. But there are a lot of natural supplements and things you can do but you need an expert to work with you and not just an MD that puts them on medications. I have two nephews that have it, they went to this doctor and diet, exercise and supplements have helped tremendously and now in high school they are off medication. If you had an infection or a medical problem you would go to a doctor and not treat yourself so don't treat this yourself. Patti
They say docs won't treat them?
geez, I'm afraid...
trick or treat?
I'm figuring the way this day is going that I will turn off my lights, sit in the basement and eat 2 bags of Snickers instead of handing it out tonight. I hear those little candy bars up in the pantry calling my name. I figure I am saving the neighborhood kids from cavities, weight gain, stomachaches and a night of bouncing off the walls. I know they'll thank me later.
What did YOU do for HIM???, does he treat u good every other day? nm

can you treat a UTI over the counter?
I am one of those lucky MTs that dont have health insurance and that makes it pretty annoying when I have probelms. Like right now I am sure that I have a UTI, but dont want to go to the ER and get that $600 bill. I bought some AZO and cranberry vitamin. I figure I will drinks lots of water and see what happens... any suggestions? Thanks a lot!
I am not turning this to a religion argument- sm
I prefer not to have my child taught at a church school for personal reasons. The school they were attending squeezed in church teachings as it is, though they were not a church school, and I was not thrilled with that either. Some teachers did it more than others. As for find a teacher that "really cares" only being at a church affiliated school, that is quite a broad statement to make. At the private school my kids had been attending, the teaches were paid 25% less than what the teachers made at the public school level, which could mean 3 things, the teacher really cared and wanted a small class size to teach, (2) wanted kids that were less troublesome to teach and better behaved (3) the teacher was inadequate and could not get hired in a public school (which was the case for a few teachers where my kids were). ---There are a lot of angles to look at when considering private school religion is one of them, tuition, quality of the teachers, certification, the school board, the parent organization, the involvment expects --ours was extreme involvement which is good and bad (burnout)--I am much happier now with the kids in public school, and my 8-y/o is now actually being taught by a qualified computer teacher and not some old lady who knew nothing about computers or computer programs trying to make a few extra bucks having the kids make designs and pictures on the computer (they had a new computer teacher every year as they'd quit every year). There are pros and cons to every school, you got to find out what you want to deal with.
yep, religion and landowners.....I agree! sm
The Crusaders - yep, I remember it well. Also, I divorced a man who later on became born again and now we cannot have ONE conversation without him bringing that aspect of life into the convo.
Really bothers me too........geesh.
there are *weird psychos* in EVERY religion...
I so respect everyone's religion but I am appalled by religious fanatics...the ones who go wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy overboard and I think misinpret Bibles.......taking things to the EXTREME.....
fanatics, extremists - nope, cannot deal with them....and shouldn't have to but I notice each religion has so many different levels and sects - it's almost like different religions within each separate religion....I get some of that....but not all of it....
*scratches head quizzically* because I'm a live and let live type of person and so it's difficult to understand why EVERYONE doesn't let everyone live and let live.....
Not the right term to use here. Amen against religion?nm
xx
I also know of one religion that helps out community
they actually pay back some in taxes to communities where there is a volunteer fire department, etc., precisely because they benefit from such services.
No, it is an inferance and any teaching of religion -sm
should be done by the parents. I had my kids in private school up until 2 years ago, took them out for several reasons, one being that many of the teachers were teaching about God and making them pray before every meal (snack and lunch). I was paying $12K a year for my kids not to be in a church school, as this was not a religious school (or at least not supposed to be). I could have sent them to many, many cheaper schools in the area but they were all church affiliated. Some of us don't want our kids to be taught by others. I explain all the different religions to my kids, but don't want some outsider to teach their beliefs to my child. It is not their business to teach religion, if they want to do that then become a minister and run a church.
i beg to differ. I wish i had freedom FROM religion
I get treated by a leper because I am athiest.
But, shouldn't this be on the RELIGION Board?? nm
x
Are you rejecting religion and the Bible or God?
I have problems myself with organized religion; however, I have personal proof of life after death, which leads me to believe in a Creator. Just curious about where you're coming from.
I know the catholic religion has guidelines
that my religion, Methodist, don't have as I have relatives that have converted so they can get married. I think in my cousin's case, he did not want to jump through all those hoops and was thinking about getting married by a methodist preacher. That priest told them that if they do that, but then his wife-to-be would loose her place in the church, meaning she could still go but she could not, participate in ceremonies, make decisions for the church etc., because she would not be considered married and living in sin.
Anyway, I think your dd and future SIL should get a 2nd opinion from another priest. But, you should remember too that this is their battle. If they are big enough to get married, they are big enough to fight their own battles. If they truly want to be married than they will and this is pretty much small potatoes.
Michael Vicks ... I wish I could treat him the same. sm
I'm sorry but I am writing letters to every single sponsor of his and to the NFL and the Falcons.
If I could, I would treat him the same way he has allowed those poor dogs to be treated.
I would treat them like Paul Revere (SM)
Make em history! You are better than that. I used to always try to figure out why someone acted a certain way. . like you I wondered what the problem was. Found out from a wonderful psychologist who helped me over a terribly painful relationship that went bad . . It DOES NOT MATTER WHY. . what matters is that it happened. You need to move on. They are just not nice. I would think you took up bowling in the first place to have a good time! GO FOR IT elsewhere! GOOD LUCK!
Thanks for the treat...awesome photos!! nm
x
don't enable him to treat this way - especially with child to see
nm
But did you and your no account brother treat her
x
What a nice treat...I get stuff sent to me..
that way from Philly, cheesesteaks, hoagies, good pretzels, TastyKakes...it's nice to be able to get something good from home when you live so far away!
So then you WOULD treat a woman like a criminal?
what's that phrase, judge not lest...?
Treat everyone as if we all worked in the same office.
