tap into your phone line to call a dial-up internet number? We have a page and a half of this one internet number on our phone bill and we don't use dial-up. We have a cable modem. I know no one in our house is dialing into this number, especially since they are all about 1 to 2 minutes long with a lot of them being done anywhere from 12:00 midnight to 3:00 or 4:00 AM. The phone company says we are responsible, that it is someone in our home doing this. We don't have any other computers right now and we have a wireless network, so it would be pointless to dial up anyway. I'm not sure what my next step should be. I'm ready to disconnect my phone line and use my cell phone from now on if the phone company won't do anything and I have to keep paying these high bills!
