My husband has epilepsy and is on Lamictal. It costs us about $130.00 a month to get the prescription (would be @ $750.00/month without insurance). He went to his neurologist yesterday and he told my husband that we could always get it from Canada but we aren't sure how to do this. The neurologist wants to keep him on brand-name only. Any suggestions? Thanks! :)

anyone ordered prescriptions from Canada?
I'm on Benicar, Restasis eye drops, and Celebrex and found out the group insurance offered by my new company has $5000 deductible and doesn't cover drugs. I bought BCBS on my own and there is an extreme limit on brand name drugs. I'm thinking about ordering from Canada but wondered if anyone else has done that. They advertise 180 Celebrex for $97 and BCBS will charge $180 for only 30.
Where to buy $4 prescriptions
Is there other places that offer the cheap prescriptions?
DH is on 2 meds...walmart only has 1 on their list of $4...I was hoping to find another place that offered both of them cheap.
Sam's or Kroger have $4 prescriptions
Overseas Prescriptions
Please be careful when doing this. I worked in a neurology clinic and we prescribed several different drugs, requip being one of them. We had a patient who went overseas to get her prescription and they said she was getting the same as her dr. had prescribed. Long story short, she had a severe allergic reaction to "the same" med we had her on. Research this please.
overseas prescriptions
I agree. I am hoping someone on this Board will know the name of a reputable overseas pharmacy, as I want to be careful to get safe medication.
I found herbs did squatola for me and prescriptions...
really messed me up. I think I was "experimented on" by my PCP who literally tried everything available over a period of 5 years. I've always been anxious--even as a little kid I'd be up at 5 a.m. all by myself and at the bus stop 45 minutes early (I truly did have to walk a mile to the stop!) beause of my nerves. My parents were both like that as well...always to work early, always had appointments meticulously written down on the calender, clocks always ahead 15 minutes fast....I've just relegated myself to living with it...keeps me sharp. I figure we're either warm blooded, hot blooded, or in the middle. I'm way out there on the hot-blooded get-the-thorazine-Big-Gulp ready edge. Er...okay, so I'm mildly insane but that's what makes me "special" right?!
To Kathy - Canada
My husband and I have discussed Canada a few times. There are sick people in this world. Far too many. If they had the names of AIDS patients, I imagine they would be protesting at their funerals, as well. Why not protest where it counts instead of where it only hurts?
what makes you think we would be the same as Canada
right?
scammer says he's in Canada
btw, my mom isn't a scammer by taking the money he offered to pay for her truck repairs. She is just a little old down to earth lady and truly thinks this guy is just kind and helping her out of a hard situation. But i am wondering if he is one of these ones who is spending money on her to make money for himself eventually. She has a small parcel of land but we don't know what his intentions are, and her land certainly is not worth very much at all. We have gotten no where with our other family members. They all think it is quite harmless....Well mom is going to get a broken heart if he continues to play with her heart strings and she eventually finds out he is a scammer. We hope she will find out but we think that needs to happen soon so she can just get on with her life. She desperately needs it! Right now she just lives and breathes for him and won't listen to anyone say any negative thing about him, and we can't talk to him to tell him how we feel because he will tell mom and that will alienate us, her children, away from her that much more. He will tell her what we are trying to do. If anyone has any ideas as to how to help, please please share them with me. Thanks so very much for any advice and help.
Hopefully going to Rocky Mts in Canada and wondering
if anyone has used a travel agency called Caravan? I have gone with vacations to go in the past but saw the listing for Caravan and it has interested me. Anyone with other places that have tours they have used? All ears here.
seal hunt started in Canada :(
If you want to help stop this torture please boycott Canadian seafood and go to the Humane Society website to send a letter to the Canadian PM. Thanks.
And Canada would send him back. Can't do that anymore!

That would be Paul and Carla Bernardo up in Canada...
And, yep, they stalked, tortured and killed (while videotaping) their victims. Carla's now a free woman who just had a baby, as scary as that thought may be.
Be careful, Emily Ayn!!!
Check the wait times in Canada for MRIs, etc, and see...
how bad universal healthcare really is. Believe me, nothing is free...if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
why can people immigrate to the US if they don't yet speak the language? Canada you have to speak
We briefly looked at emigrating to Canada. They have a point system for admission. You must know at least one and preferably two of their national languages to be admitted (English and French). You also must be young, healthy, and either independently wealthy, or educated and highly skilled in high-income professions. You cannot have a family member with a chronic illness, even if they are not coming with you, because you might send your income home to help them rather than spending it in the Canadian economy. Every child or dependent you have is measured against your wage earning power and if it looks like your family might tax the social system too much, you are turned down. This all makes perfect sense even though it may seem unfair (we looked at it before and decided not to go due to their arms laws. Now they wouldn't take us anyway because I have been diagnosed with MS since then).
This is very, very different from the US who it seems will take anyone and everyone.
I heard about a US chicken processing factory that was working with Welfare to put people to work because their supply of immigrant labor had run short. So, why don't we limit immigration until every American is working who can? And pay them a living wage with healthcare (illegal immigrants are too afraid to ask for these things and so the wage drops and benefits are not provided).
