Antidepressants like Zoloft can help. I'm on it and

I had the same experience as you with the antidepressants
I went on Effexor in November last year after having a horrible time dealing with losing my mom. I was working in house then and I can't tell you how many times I dozed off at work. Curiously, when I mentioned to a co worker that the dr. had put me on this, her response was "oh yeah, I tried that. It didn't work. I'm on Zoloft." Another one had tried them all and yet another was on the highest dose they offer of Effexor. It was like a scary little medicated club.
I stopped working in-house at the beginning of December and was only working part time waiting a for a new full time job that was scheduled to start in January. I think I slept through December. Those things were awful! I wasn't any less depressed, but I didn't care because I was sleeping so much. Threw them away in January and have never regretted it.
Way off the original topic, but your message struck a huge chord with me.
And no, I don't drink at work. I get too sleepy/goofy and hungry. I want to eat everything crunchy in the world when I'm drinking, so I rarely drink and never when I'm working.
To take any sort of antidepressants is
the worst advice one can give. Lexapro and all others are associated with risks of suicide.
Antidepressants help some animals, too.
to compare insulin with antidepressants is ridiculous..nm

Studies have shown that antidepressants can cause violence and suicide.
Doctors have become reluctant to prescribe antidepressants.
