I am soooo glad in knowing I am not the only one who thinks he is cute! He just seems like he would be so much fun to be around and really enjoys life. I have no problem when my son changes the channel to what that. He just doesn't know I secretly like the host!!!

I like the Dirty Jobs show. Some of the jobs they
show are really quite interesting.
Dirty Jobs
Same here, my husband and son don't know I like him either. I'm afraid that would ruin it for them and they would never want to watch it. I love the Mike. He is hilarious and I agree with the other posters - the goeduck episode was the best ever! I can watch it over and over and LMAO every time. I giggle just thinking about it.
MMM, Dirty Jobs - what's that guy's name? sm
He's hot. :D
TV crush -- Mike Rowe from Dirty Jobs is So Hot!!!
Oh man, he is so funny and manly and smart. That show is so loaded with sexual innuendo. Can't get enough. Think he is a fine specimen of man... yummy yummy.
Dirty Dancing
I can watch that movie over and over!!
boy, my thoughts are too dirty on that one to express them!!!! nm

It's not the dirty talk - it's the disrespect (sm)...
It sounds to me that your real problem is that he dislikes and does not respect women in general. Has he always been like this or has he changed? Have you changed the church you go to? Are you getting "male superiority" type messages from church? If not, why not talk to your pastor or minister? I know that it is embarrassing but you can discuss his lack of respect, how he talks and feels about women and, then, let him know that it is effecting you and causing you to withhold "intimacy". Believe me, he'll know what you mean! Furthermore, if I had to guess what caused this change (if he has changed) I would say that your husband's behavior is due to looking at and/or reading demeaning pornography! He is treating you like he would a prostitute and you certainly need to have someone intervene and wake him up. If you cannot find someone to talk to in the church, try a social service "hot line" for women. Men like that can go from bad to worse and you could find yourself in a heck of a bad situation without help! Go get some, now!
Dirty Dancing, Grease,
Urban Cowboy, Vacation, Vegas Vacation, Urban Legend, just to name a few!
Oh, I have a dirty mind or its late or

Dirty Dancing...(can you guess?)
Nobody puts Baby in a corner.
Go back to your playpen, Baby.
Absolutely Dirty Dancing
Love, love, love that movie
When the dishwasher sign says dirty
and there is room in it and everyone still stacks their dishes in the sink!!!!
Is she actually dirty or does she have an odor problem?
Who told you she needs a bath?
Can I ask why you aren't able to brush her? There are a lot of new products and tools that can help if you have a problem with your hands or arms.
I have clients who get their dogs bathed every week but I really don't recommend that, especially for a collie type of coat. Unless your groomer missed something she should be good for quite awhile in that department.
Do you use bad language / dirty words?
I try not to use dirty words. I feel that it just shows that I have a limited vocabulary. (My kids hate that). However, there are times, that I fall back and say things I should not.
Today was one of those days. I said the "f" word. Well, actually, I didn't say the "f" word. I said I am "f" mad. Not fing mad just "f" (the letter) mad.
I always told my children that this is a word that should only be used in the most dire circumstance if at all.
2 jobs
Would this put you over 40 hours/week? If so, they might have a problem with paying the overtime.
should be most jobs were, not was!

There are no jobs where I am sm
I had thought of working part-time in a mall to get the discount, do some Christmas shopping, get out to see people, only a few days here and there. Our newspaper used to have at least 3-4 full pages, 7-8 on the week-end, down to 1 column on weekdays, 2 on weekends. Most are heavy lifting jobs for men and/or must speak Spanish, especially if medical. So I buy extra at every sale, extra everything, use coupons, got 30% off from Kohl's and loaded up, softened every warm clothing buy for the kids with a toy on sale. They only wanted toys in the past but this year it will be warm PJ's or a nice dress with a toy inside. The only thing is I am getting depressed from clutter, too much "stuff" all over but have to remind myself some have nothing. We do not go out to eat except perhaps soup in a sour bread bowl on special just every other week or at a Panera Bread just to say we "went out," bought video movies for a dollar at church bazaars (all Disney) for grandkids, using our VCR which will be obsolete soon but can still watch movies on old TV's. Cutting back in general, baking bread, baking cookies, really clipping and saving everything I can get my hands on. Walmart does not accept internet coupons, so check the newspaper. I do read labels on food from Walmart as some is from China. Joined a wholesale club but found it more expensive than most stores, so we can get our money back, refund in 3 months so they tell us. I really wish I had been more frugal when I made decent money at MT, I can now see I was wasteful and shame on me! I should know better, have been through recessions before. They do turn around and the only good thing is they give us a swift kick in the rear! Feel sorry for those who can barely make it, work is hard to come by in New England and a lot are losing their jobs, even teachers with over 20 years. No one knows when the next shoe will fall, even malls are failing. I am leaving all tags on gifts this year, usually cut them off, but with so many people returning things for the money, they said it's going to be a zoo they think, and even though I get gift receipts, I want them to see where it came from so the store won't give them grief. Target is the worst for returns. So that's my story here in cold, sleeting today, NE.
jobs
Pruning pyracanthas....
Giving out food samples of granola bars in the grocery store.....
One day each...I quit.
I have not not too many jobs but - sm
Worst --- Administrative Assistant to the stingiest man---He pounded out 150% out of you if he could, paid only about half of what you were worth, were not allowed OT but he would try to make you work at least 30 mins every day, no was not salaried, were lucky to get Christmas day (thanksgiving, etc). We would get out about 15 minutes early on Christmas Eve (i.e. 4:45) and the office was DEAD-- no parties allow either. Place had horrible morale. He was Jewish and observed all the Jewish holidays but the rest of us could jump in a lake basically. He could squeeze a dime out of a penny. He would pretend he was a travel agent to get cheap rooms, did a lot of international travel--company paid vacations somewhat. He was a very hard worker, but liked his luxuries and I had to scurry about making sure all sort of stuff was done personal and business, even had to show his condo that he was renting out; he got so mad at me when I tipped the refrigerator delivery guys $10; and another time I made him pay to fix my carpet in my car as he had me pick up bleach for work (caps not on good apparently) and it spilled all over my car. After that he made his wife buy all the work cleaning supplies. The job taught me a lot but did not like the conviving and constant lying so he could get something for free or at a huge discount. We did not have a time clock so he would make me or my mom write down what time people came in the door in the morning....we had to be there 15 minutes before everyone else at 7:45. He died last year from pancreatitis, almost a year to the day my mom died which I though ironic. When my mom quit (she worked there too in the front office) 5 months after I did-- I moved and married-- he told her she could not afford to quit--it was funny. My dad saved more than enough for them and they were quite comfy financially, and their house was paid off. She probably banked $250,000 to $300,000 working for him as they did not need that money (20 years of salary saved) to live on.
THEN I went onto the BEST--also Administrative Assistant for a competitor in another state. He paid me more, I had about half the work load, set my own hours (7 - 2:30), got paid for lunch of 30 mins, just a nice man who did not cheat people, had an impecable reputation. Even gave a Christmas bonus and a week off at Christmas, though not paid--Christmas was of course--, but still was nice. He was sorry to see me go, but moved again, said his office never ran so smoothly.

Jobs
Because the unemployed white collar workers wouldn't be caught dead taking a menial job such as receptionist at a doctor's office. Actually they can't take those jobs because their unemployment check is higher than what a doctor's office pays.
Dirty Dancing also and Pretty woman..nm

I've been through this sort of, but I was the dirty house - sm
Girl invited over one time for my daughter's B-day party. I cleaned the house, picked up, dusted, vacuumed, mopped, etc. I am not the best housekeeper in the world but I do a good job when I do clean. We don't have ants or roaches, or any other type of bugs or rodents. BUT we have a lot of clutter which obviously makes things look dirty/messy. I have slowly been getting rid of it but have a long way to go still. I have been squirrling things away in boxes, put them in the garage and see if anything gets missed. Next step is dump or ebay. I keep clean kids, bathe regularly, etc. This girl was/is forbidden to come here ever again because our house is messy per her grandmother (mother is dead, being raised by grandma and grandpa as the dad is too lazy to do it apparently). I could care less that they think my cluttered shelf in the kitchen is offensive to them, or our 50 pictures on the mantle bother them (slight exageration), or my husbands collectables in every corner covered in blanklets (though I do want them out, would make a big difference); we are not slobs. Yeah, I find it a little annoying, but I feel bad for the little girl as she is not allowed to ever get dirty and that is half the fun of growing up. The grandparents have no tolerance for any mess, that kid must live in a bubble. My MIL is exactly the same way too, but this lady is young, about mid-50s, so you think she'd still remember. I know this is not what you mean though. Hygiene is quite necessary and the girl will be teased and tortured by her friends if they see she lives in a pit. You could alway offer to help the mom get ready for the party, though there is no nice way to say, hey let me help you clean your house, it is really gross and needs a total overhaul, and you need to learn how to do laundry, bathe and brush teeth. Kind of hard to do definitely. Just do what you think is right and be as tactful as you can.
I have been told that lice don't like dirty hair - sm
and when there is an outbreak at school to use mousse in the hair as it is sticky, etc. and the lice don't like it. Don't know if it is true but it makes some sense, though if this girl is always dirty and still has lice (especially if they like clean heads) then that kind of makes no sense. I am not sure of our schools policy but I think it is one where the kid is not allowed back until they can prove they don't have it any longer. So far we have had no lice reports this year, had about 3 last year. My DH has a cow over them and I tell my girls not to share hats, combs, brushes, etc. , and when we have the lice scares I use mousse on them for a week or so. So far so good. ---One solution they could do for the girl is to shave her head, no hair, no lice, though it is a drastic solution but I know a family that did that as they had a strain of resistant lice that just would not go away no matter what they did.
Underwear - clean or dirty, your choice.

Do you have dirty dishes or excess amount

Here, those jobs are HARD to get
The elementary aide jobs in this county pay @$12.00/hour (your location may vary),lots of paid holidays, great hours, vacation time, sick days, insurance, and retirement.
I worked as an aide in an elementary school in the past when I was in a master's degree program but left the program (and the area) when I had a financial downturn.
To give you an idea of what it may entail, in my school I had duties such as hall duty (keeping the noise to a dull roar and horseplay to a minimum in the morning before classes begin and after school), cafeteria duty (making sure the right classes go to the right tables and fetching forgotten forks, napkins, and condiments), bus duty (helping children get on the right buses), as well as things such as testing for reading level placement and working with one group of students in a subject while the teacher works with another group.
Some of the aide jobs are more clerical in nature, some are in the library, some are to help the special education kids. Once you get in, you can usually find your niche and gravitate towards it.
It is never routine! I, too, am a burned out MT now and would love to get one of those jobs again, but it is very difficult to obtain one here.
Court Jobs
Here where I live Court jobs pay excellent, plus there are all sorts of benefits, pensions, and a lot of time off. They're very had to come by, though. Some of them are civil service, and some is definitely who you know. I was a paralegal for a long time before I became an MT and I always wished I was able to get in the Court system.
I'm applying for other jobs now.
I go in for NICU secretary interview later this week. I just can't take it one more day. It has been many years of being bored out of my mind. I need to SEE people again too. Wish me luck!
State jobs.......
Problem is with state jobs the application process lasts for a good period of time, so he needs to review the cut off date for applications. It could possibly be another couple of weeks before the cut off. But, state jobs are horribly slow in replying to the applicants. I would give it this week, check the cut off date for applicants, and then call them and inquire if the position has been filled. At least he will know then.
Haven't had that many jobs....but
The most boring job I had was as a receptioninst in a small doctor's office. There was nothing to do beyond greeting patients, answering the phone and scheduling. I made busy work for myself, but even that didn't take too long to finish, so I got paid to read. Sometimes read 2 books a week.
I have to say the most interesting job has been since I started as an MT. There are days it is the worst job EVER, but I have always been intersted in the medical field and I usually learn something new every day.
I agree about odd jobs
My grandmother recently hired to different men to do odd jobs for her that she found advertised in the newspaper. I am not trying to tell you how to live your life, but in one of the ads the man stated that he was a Christian and that is why he got the job.
Offshore jobs
You know, sounds like a job like that would be right up my alley - my kids are grown and I love to cook. I'm looking for something with variety and want to relocate. Any tips on how to get jobs like that (I live in California). I'd pack up and leave here in a heartbeat...too danged expensive to live here...
Probably anything from the top of the "pop" charts that doesn't sound too dirty. Or just as

I have worked so many jobs and so long
have lot more than the average bear to collect so I figure that (this is if I hold out health wise until then of course or even live for that part)that the 2 full incomes together will be icing on my cake. I want to make a decent salary now and cannot stand to think about them taking some of my money away (it is bad enough for the tax folks).
Have worked since age 13, most jobs ever was 4 at 1 time
I posted asking about taking social security early, not retiring because it is just not what I want to do. It is not that I cannot afford but like you, just want to continue on. I will reach total retirement age in 2009 but then I want my money from work, the money from social security and then I have a retirement from a hospital where I was vested of over $500 a month- I hope to be able to get all that. It would double the amount I bring in per month now because, get this, I finally got down to part-time (32 hours per week), only 1 job but totally addicted. It is so easy now, being at home, doing the same work I have done for 17 years, easy, easy!
Happened to many here - all different category jobs!
Kind of a domino effect, one industry affects the other, it's very common and hard on everyone because they "suggest" in some cases and "insist" in others upon taking unpaid days off. If you say "no" you are considered not a team player and probably be the first one out the door. Scary situation. Go along to get along and cut back on extras, I guess, if it's possible.
I have taken many drug tests for many jobs...
and never felt like a criminal. It is just the way things are. I would far rather have drug users weeded out of medical positions, welfare and unemployment than to not take the test. I don't know why anyone who does not use drugs would feel humiliated by taking a test. Just my opinion.
Dirty World...it's a Traveling Wilburys song sung by him
The world's best supergroup is the Traveling Wilburys! My 3-year-old loves the video of Bob Dylan singing Inside Out with the TW. She thinks he looks mad when he sings. The TW is made up of George Harrison (my favorite), Roy Orbison, Bob Dylan, Tom Petty, and Jeff Lynne.
Theb report it to proper authorities - here won't do you any good they wan to dirty his name n/m

I've looked for jobs on CraigsList!
Nice site. My sister lives there, LOL.
Good for you. I could have worked 2 jobs, but I chose to
spend my time with my kids so they would know they had a mother, not just an I'll never ask anybody for help, never at home, money-making machine.
I've ended the cazillion dirty glasses in the sink every day problem...
My husband and I got tired of the kids coming to the kitchen a bunch of times during the day and each time grabbing a new glass to drink from - even after we asked them to pick a spot on the counter to keep their glass at and rinse it out/wash it after every use. Previously we'd end up with the dishwasher filled on the top level with glasses every day.
I went to Target and found different colored plastic tumblers. I bought a tumbler for everyone in the household. At supper time tonight I put all tumblers on the table and told everyone to pick their favorite color. After this was done they were all told this is now their color to use, and they're solely responsible for their tumbler each day, and are to rinse/wash it as needed throughout the day. I then went to the cabinets and proceeded to pack up all but 4 glasses we have in the cabinet - and those 4 I've moved to the very top shelf. They know that if their tumbler is found outside of the kitchen the problem is solved of "who left the glass on the living room table?" None will be allowed to wonder to bedrooms or they'll lose their tumbler and have nothing to drink from but a small juice glass. If we have company they can use the 4 glasses on the top shelf.
This should work and we'll no longer have dishpan hands!
Anyone else ever seem to get GI problems when stressed out with these jobs. My abdominal area
actually feels sore or irritated.
Oy! Remember this..school counselors have these jobs because typically sm
they cannot hack it in the real world in their field. They try to intimidate parents when they can. I had one try to to tell me my daughter was dyslexic in the 4th grade. No, she was not. She just read at an 8th grade level then and the "baby books" (my daughter's words) bored her to death so she really did not read them.
Then at another point, she tried to tell me that she had a problem with math. Yes, she did. It was not her strong point but she was making B's so good. She started insisting on extra tutoring etc. I said fine. BUT hired my own tutor (as we live in the same town as a college that one of the majors is teaching). Boy, she really did not like that needless to say!
Counselors.. We can live without them and we don't have to put up with them. Just put he/she in her place.
