I love kids ...... other peoples' kids and as long as I can give them back after brief periods. I don't have the patience required for raising and teaching and guiding a young human being. I always felt bad for my mom, though. She had 5 kids, all of whom were in their 40s when she died and not one of us has kids. She had a couple of adopted grandchildren that she had fun with, but no bio grandkids.
