and slowly exhale. Phoooooooo. Feel a little better? You may have been venting, but you still kept your sense of humor. I do sympathize, though. My brother did not think he needed pain meds after his vision-correction surgery. I kept telling him the anesthetic would wear off. I picked up his meds without him knowing. He was so grateful later that night. Chalk one up for little sis. BTW, I hope your hubby gets better soon.
My romance/drama novel.
I have been in medical transcription for 8 years and since our hospital sent us all home I have taken up writing in my spare time. I would like to invite everyone on the board to check out my website for my small publishing company and read about my romance novel.
I am a real sap when it comes to romance
just like in Say Anything with the boombox, I fall apart when Clint is standing in the rain wanting her to get out of the truck. Another tearjerker for me everytime is The Notebook!
I like Ralph Lauren Romance (nm)

Definitely George mystery novels or romance

Classic sign of an abusive is a very , very fast romance - sm
leading to marriage, which it appears you have done. He has successfully isolated you from your family and controls everything you do. He is deciding where you live, what "he" wants to do, work, etc. You don't mentions kids, and I hope you don't have any, but if you do you need to take back some control if you intend to stay in this one-sided marriage. Sounds like you have no say/input at all, it is his way or no way. My DH gives me grief when I visit my family, as do my in-laws, I go anyway. He doesn't like it but he cannot stop me from going. He knows better than to try. He will make my life living hell until I leave, trying to get to stay, but I think only one time did I give in and not go, and boy was I mad at him for quite some time (and myself for giving in). My DH is very passive-aggressive but most of the time I ignore him but other times he gets me all worked up ready to kill him and then he is fine, and I am all mad. Drives me crazy. But after 12 years of this I have learned not to take the bait so much, and have seriously though of kicking him out, though he's refuse to leave as it "is his house" (it is in his name only but we bought it 10 years ago while we were married, so it is every bit mine as his). So if you get to the point when you are sick of his controlling ways, go see a lawyer. I plan to soon myself just to see where I would stand in the event of a divorce. We both have our faults in my marriage and I think it is smart thing to find out what could or could not happen in the event of a divorce. You might want to see what your rights are too, cannot hurt. As for your sister coming, just say, Mary is coming to visit and tough cookies if this bothers you. She has never been here before and I want to see my sister and niece and if you don't like it make yourself scarce while they are here. ---Good luck.
See Retta's post on Comedy Stop..(EOM)
I thought it was funny. You have to like that kind of comedy though.
My 12-year-old and his buddies almost fell off the couch they were laughing so hard.
Are you as 'funny' ? as this joke? BTW they belong on the Comedy Board...nm

Oh, forgot to mention saw hubby on Comedy Central 1 night with
of all persons, Andy Kaufman. People might remember him from Taxi and 1 time he decided he would go into wresting and surprised to see him and my husband in a match on the Comedy channel! Andy also decided to wrestle with women for awhile before his demise in his early life.
Oh no, now I am in deep......
Hubs out of town, returning tonight. I told him I had bought something really good for him today, some succupnongs and got me some home-grown tomatoes. Well I never thought he would do that but then said how he loves those kind of tomatoes, how many did I get? I lied, yes I did, if I have to eat them all tonight before he gets here. OMG I probably have a good dozen left but I don’t want to share....I did buy him those others, why are men never satisfied?? I am so full right now I do not think I can eat those other 12 just yet.
I know deep down in my heart that this is wha I WANT to do. But, I'm not sure sm
how difficult it would be to get back into MTing/QAing after a year or so. It took me a long time to get the job I have now (QAing/MTing).
Thanks for your input! Will keep everyone posted. I hate doing QA right now and typing!......ha
Do you need DEEP POCKETS to buy them?

Anyone who thinks introverts or shy people are slow or retarded is just ignorant. I'm sorry, but racism is ignorant and judging people without knowing one thing about them is ignorant. This person is double-ignorant.
Can't give you advice, but my son is a lot like your husband. He is incredibly intelligent and the wheels are always turning, he just doesn't spew out every little thing that comes into his head. He listens. He learns.
All I can say to you is thank whomever you supreme being is that you have the pleasure of this darling man in your life. I'm not sure even if you tried to explain his nature that she'd understand. Not to mention she knows everything.
Deep south - only hog I know is as in
pigs.
First, take a deep breath - sm
Yes, the school should have called you, but they did not and you cannot control the actions of others, just your own. You also cannot control whether the other mom calls you to apologize. Should she have? Sure, but again, what you do is NOT necessarily what someone else would do. Set a good example for your son and let him see this for what it is - a small incident in the big scheme of things. He will likely not even remember this in a few months unless you harp on it endlessly. I would definitely let the school know about my displeasure at the events of today, but after that just let it go. These things happen. You cannot protect your son from life.
Deep Freeze !!!
Holy icicles batman ! It is -8 here in New England !
How about where you live?
All I know is that when I had Dish, if we
had 1 raindrop I lost service. Got rid of it the minute my contract was up.
Dish
I have never had any problems with Dish - they even let me have a package most people don't know about - and probably don't want. - I pay $6.00 a month and gey my local ABC, CBC, NBC & Fox channels - and for some reason I get another channel that keeps changing - right now it is the Hallmark Channel - sometimes it is the biography channel and sometimes Animal Planet -this is a good plan for us because we are trying to cut down on watching TV - and it helps us save $.
We used to have dish
Don't know what Direct TV is, but we used to have Dish. Excellent service. The only problem was when it would get windy it would knock it off track and DH would have to readjust it, but was no big deal. Very easy and only took a few secs to move back into place. Never had a problem with interruptions otherwise. I loved it and would get it again. We now have cable cos it was the best deal to get cable/internet/phone all in one package.
Had all 3 and Dish is my fav!!!
Cable in our area stinks. Direct was better than cable, but not near as good as Dish. The options available on Dish are so much better than Direct. Little things, like being able to check the guide while still watching a show and looking up the info on another program and how far ahead you can check the schedules. It's been about 6 years since we switched from Direct to Dish, so maybe they've changed, but I'd go for Dish. They are by far the best.
Not a dish but...
I have a box for chocolates and a basket on my computer tower under my desk with a bag of jelly beans in it. Everyone started raiding my chocolate so I had to get creative and hide it in another part of the house entirely. lol If anyone else has this problem, the bathroom is great! Its up on top of my tallest cabinet behind a stack of decorative towels. :)
Deep Purple Dress
Bridesmaid dresses in a deep purple. Not sure if I should go for metallics- gold or silver or stick with black? The wedding is in the afternoon in church and a reception at a golf course. What do you think?
12 inches is not deep pocket--sm
12 inches is barely even standard these days. Mine is 21 inches deep. I need 22 inch deep sheets to at least stay on. You shop around and see where you can find that size for under 200 dollars. If you do, let me know!
Yep. Normal. Just take a deep breath and
They'll probably make peace in a few short years (when you're old and grey-headed and senile, lol)!

Recommendations for deep friers sm
Need some recommendations for a good quality deep fryer. My third one just bit the dust. Have used Rival and Presto in the past both only lasting 1 year or less. I don't deep fry a lot but get a hankering every now and then for chicken. None of the fryers I have bought in the past last more than a year, they quit right in the middle of frying. I sent one back to Rival, it had died 28 days after I bought it. They sent me another and it died 1 year later. On the hunt again for another and don't care the cheapies anymore. Give me your recommendations.
Deep south, Virginia, nah I never
thought of that as the deep south. We think of it as the northern most of southern states.
I really can't imagine how deep this sorrow must be. (sm)
I've only lost pets, and it rips my heart out to lose one of those special ones. The loss of a child would be absolutely unbearable. Time can only round off the edges of the pain a little, but never take it away. Not until you see him again in heaven. At least we have that hope.
How about a smaller dish? nm

True, but I doubt Britney is that deep! - nm

I was in a wedding with deep blue dresses.
We had the shoes dyed to match the dress from David's Bridal. They have a big selection of styles to pick from and then you dye them, relatively cheap too.
If not, then I would go with silver, just something simple though. JMO, but I don't think black would look great.
Are you ready to be brave? Take a deep breath...
Then do it and close your eyes real tight and be glad the minute you have done it (calling to have him picked up for psych eval) Then once you have him out of the house you can keep him out with a court order. Your life will improve. Are you Ready???? Be BRAVE! I was!!!
you forgot - any mayonnaise containing dish
any dish with mayonnaise cannot be eaten if left out, uncovered, for ANY length of time.....
there are many dishes one cannot eat if left out....general rule is no more than 2 hours on a buffet table or any table for that matter, in my opinion.....cheese comes to mind too left out.....
food safety is very important and the USDA allows certain things that also shouldn't be allowed....
ever read Consumer Reports? I read in there that the govt (USDA) *allows* a certain amount of rodent feces and rodent hair in things like cottage cheese and canned tuna (the latter I love).....and I read that a long time ago....
better to be safe than sorry.......
If I was landlord and OP did dish thing to me,I would

Cable tv versus dish
Can anybody give me their experiences with cable televison or dish, specifically Dish Network or DirectTV?
I am considering getting one of these but don't know which one to go with. Thank you!
have had all three, Dish Network superior
if you have an HDTV I would not recommend cable at all. It may not be true for all cable companies but Adelphia looked horrid on ours. Had Dish Network years ago and they were horrible in the customer service department...never again!!!
Do you keep a candy dish on your desk?
What's inside it?
I have one on my desk, but it usually only has sugar-free gum in it. Boring I know, but I hate it when my kids get cavities and since they raid my dish all the time, I have to take precautions. I also don't want to tempt myself all day long with sugar. Sometimes I get sugar-free Werther's candy or sugar-free lemonade candy but those bags are so tiny they don't last long.
Use every last drop of dish soap...sm
I don't have a dishwasher so I have to use liquid soap. I never throw the bottle away because I can't squeeze anymore out. When I'm running my next dishwater, I run water in the bottle and use every last drop. The cap even has enough residue on it for 1 load. Same goes for shampoo and conditioner. Even laundry soap.
I'll often use shampoo for body wash. If you use Suave or VO5 it's usually only .99 a bottle and when it's on sale for less than that I'll buy a few bottles. It's a lot cheaper than bodywash.
I try to do errands and appointments on the same day. Mapped out right so I save gas.
Never buy infant, toddler, preschool kids clothes brand new. Buy at thrift, second hand stores or garage sales. They outgrow them faster than the bank statement arrives. They also tend to stain and ruin clothes pretty darn easily and quickly.
What is your favorite potluck dish?
x
I have Dish Network and I saw it just fine.
Even recorded it. Too bad I don't know how to send it to you.
Oh, why not try a southern dish, possum
I absolutely have heard of people that have ate this, heard it is terribly greasy. Rabbit is another thing as is squirrel but I have never had, to me it would seem like eating my pet cat. Have heard of all the above except yattle. My mother visiting Mexico years ago told me of having a dish with unborn goat (guess they aborted the babies from the mother goats, ewwwwwww)but then she also ate things like pickled pig feet, pork brains, cow tongue and tripe. My brother and I mostly grossed out. Surprised she did not eat chittlings! Over the years I have stuck to more main stream here in the US and presently hubby and I eat a lot of chicken, not because of it being a more economical meat but more the way they are raised, that being more organic.
Let's Dish the Real Housewives!
I don't think I've ever had a more uncontrollable urge to stick my fist through a television set than when Kelly is on.
Kelly is such a low class, immature, little piece of trash! I never even heard of the b!itch until Housewives this year. I'm not a big fan of Bethany but her little speech she gave her at the bar (after being a half hour late!) really boiled my blood!
I don't think I've ever hated somebody on TV this much before. She totally disgusts me. I hope Bravo drops her off on whatever corner they picked her up after this season is over.
Anyway, moving on.
Ramona is such a jerk to Alex and Simon. Seems she's really holding on to the past. Her husband Mario is no better. He grates on my nerves.
I just love Jill. Can't get enough of her! Alex and Simon have really grown on me.
It'll be interesting next week, Re: the Countess giving her 'talk' to all the middle school students on what being a Countess means, all the while knowing what a train wreck she is now!
Same problem for me. Deep pockets - Wal-Mart and Target have them.

Like the Voom programming on Dish Network
our favorites. We were crushed when they stopped showing Voom programing
I put Dawn dish soap in the dishwasher
I did not realize laundry soap and dishwasher detergent do not make bubbles. I didn't have any dishwasher detergent so decided to just a few drops of Dawn. Suds came out of the top of the dishwasher and all over the kitchen. For a few drops, it filled the kitchen. You would think it would be easy to clean up but it was terrible. Soap suds can't just be mopped up, especially when they are 3 inches tall. lol
like they say, revenge is a dish best served cold (nm)
People are more polite in the deep south. There is a sense of decorum.
