Creating your own web store sm

Anyone here ever created your own web store?  If so what software did you use?  I'd like to give it a try some time down the road and am checking out software, thought maybe someone had used a good one.

There's talk about creating one in a couple of years...sm
Some of the areas in our state that have had charter schools start up have had much better test results and happier parents than the public schools.
I wouldn't have quit - I'd have reported her for creating

Actually it is answering the one who said should be canned, creating hostile
work place- yours was not a good working situation also. I think people, unless in your situation, just do not realize what a problem others have. It is not something you try to do by making so many trips to the bathroom. People working for others sometimes just have to suck up things and as my mother would have said, consider the source- if you are rude, crude, inconsiderate, lacking manners- a person fits this category and you just take with a grain of salt and overlook others like this.
I used to do store security for a major department store - try this -
Go to the store and ask to speak with someone from the security department. Tell them what you have stated here. Hope they are able to help you!
My dog loves coconut oil right off the spoon. Try the health food store. Sometimes in food store,

OMG, are you sure that's not the same store?
Or do all young male cashiers just have a breast fixation? Boy oh boy.
You don't have to go the store.
You don't die from not being able to go into a store.  You may die from secondhand smoke (living with a smoker), but I doubt from simply walking through a door and inhaling a few seconds of secondhand smoke.  Most people will eat themselves to death before they die of secondhand smoke.  Funny how the older generation smoked, ate lard, and never took vitamins, and most lived to be in their 100's.  I have an aunt that died of cancer, never drank, never smoked, never ever did anything but serve her husband and she died.  My grandfather rolled his own cigarettes and lived to be 91 after a career as a coal miner...  go figure...  cigarette smoking I'm sure causes cancer, but so does a lot of other things like auto fumes (pollution), asbestos, and the like.  They are building new homes minutes from toxic waste dumps.  If you get cancer it won't be from walking through a doorway of a store where someone is smoking, it will more than likely be from the other things listed above.
Don't go to the store...sm
you must be a smoker who thinks they are the only ones being deprived of their rights. We all need to go to the store. What a ridiculous statement to make. People who smoke are addicted to their addictions and don't have the courage to break the habit. True, cigarette smoke is not the only thing that causes cancer, but if I choose to not have it affect my life and my pleasure of living my life, you don't have the right to inflict it upon me, just because you choose to stay addicted to your addiction and don't like being told you need to go to certain areas in order to feed that addiction. If you need to smoke that badly, don't go to the store and smoke. Don't go to the store at all, just like you told me I don't have to. Stay in your car and inflict it upon yourself or stay home.
I wonder what that guy in the store would have said
If your neice turned around and said "Really?  I find men with bad breath much more offensive."  Might think twice before he opened his mouth.  That's a face I'd like to see!!
I wonder if you have to store them
with the plastic cover on when you're not wearing them to protect the sticky layer from dust?

I'm thinking it would feel like walking on a sticky floor in a grocery store?
I had my own store. Got a following almost became
But the fees added up so much that is listing fees, final value fees, that I made about 33% after paypal took their fees too. Then, I shipped all over the world too so I'd be sure to make sure the shipping costs were right or I would get burned there.
Then, there became the people who would want their money back even if the listing said only store credit.
Customer is always right.
So, by the time you count the money I spent on the item to begin with (usually something I thought I would naturally make money on), the fees, the time spent taking pictures, the digital battery, etc. I had a gigantic loss this year. Plus, if you buy on e bay, you should watch your selling, because you just might spend all your profit, which comes out to about 5 to 10 bucks an hour.
I loved doing it, don't get me wrong. I met people from all over the world. I sold a dress to the Prime Minister of a University in England, and other interesting people. I still have friends on there who are sellers too. But, I had to close down shop because the fees just got to be too much for me. I would rather sit and type and have free time doing artistic things and having hobbies.
Some of my friends who have a following on e bay and have been selling for years range in the 25K a year range, and they have a business license, and charge state tax. Don't forget as well, you have to pay income tax just like any other IC job. Just was not worth it to me. Good luck to you.
is there a store you will not shop

I know for some here they've said it's Walmart.

There's a chain of stores here in NJ, not sure if they're anywhere else though. It's calles SixthAvenue Electronics. We had a bad experience with them many years ago (they sold us a reconditioned piece of electronics without telling us it wasn't new) and to this day I won't even look at their flyers. I just throw them away.

Where won't you shop?

Another grocery store one (sm)
The ones who act like it's a total surprise that they actually have to take out their wallet and pay after they're given a total - worse yet, paying in cash, and have to dig around in their purse for the appropriate change. G-r-r-r
Grocery store......
My daughter worked at a grocery store as cashier in high school..she would come home disgusted at how some of these ladies would come through her aisle and pull their money out between their breasts...she hated touching that money. During the summer, she said it was even worse...they were sweaty and nasty and she had to take the money and recount it. She couldn't wash her hands enough!!
Lacie - how to store it.....s/m

You are right, one bottle lasts a few washings.  If you look very carefully, there is a little bit of whitish powder at the bottom tip of the product.  That has to be mixed well before you snap off the top of the vial.  What I do, is outside my shower is a basket full of soaps and stuff and I stand it up there in between the stuff until the next head wash.  Then, I put my finger over the open tip upon the 2nd and/or 3rd usage of vial....and shake that powder up that way as it does *settle* in between usage.

Also, the product comes in 3-in-1 packages and/or 1 much bigger vial that would probably last 7 washings.  *grins* You probably saw all that at Sally's tonight.

Love people who don't procrastinate, and you sure don't!!!

the checks should be right there in the store - sm
I would think. Or whichever store they run their office from. They should have been able to write one out for you then and there. I would not have left without it, they know you want the money and are going to jerk you around until you give up. I would think that you had a court judgement or order by now and they have to do it or be arrested, etc, could not the deputy arrest the store mananger for something, obstructing the order? Failing to comply, whatever. As for the bank, it would probably be one of the top 3 banks in the area, though I don't know if the bank would tell you if they had an account there. You can always make some calls and try to find out. If they won't give you the money, take your $700 worth of furniture, and obviously try to pick something you want to actually keep, otherwise you will probably only get half of what the retail is if you are lucky and you are still out a chunk of change.
There is a bar w/ a drive thru store
across the street from our apartment complex. One morning around 10/11am I saw a school bus go through there. I'm sure he/she was just picking something up for later but it just looked bad!
Thanks everyone! Running to the store to buy
stuff now. By the way, she's 8. Sorry, I forgot to say that before. Thanks again!!
OMG! I would have owned that store!
I would have had the cops there any everything, pressing charges for physical assault! That woman was obviously completely psycho!
I went to a local store
called Fred's Beds and caught our Simmons on sale. I think the set was only $900. I was thrilled.
You should go to the pool store SM

We have lived in a house with a pool for about 10 years, in the ground not above.  If you take a sample of your water to the pool store, they will test your water for free.  They will tell you exactly what chemicals you need and exactly how to close your pool.  If you close it correctly, opening in the spring will be a breeze.  If you don't, it will be a nightmare.

just trying on clothes in the store -- you can get it

The nurse at our health dept said the bug lives many many days on objects - even clothing.

And yes, you can, if you have a reduced immune system, or even just a little scratch or something -- you can catch MRSA from someone who had a sore who tried on the clothing before you.

You can try on a pair of slacks and if you have a skin opening, you are set to get it.

So many people who come in where I work, think they have a pimple and so many are in the gluteal, buttocks region -- never in the mucosal part of the vaginal/labia area -- have never seen the bug go there interestingly enough -- but in the crease of the buttocks or even on the buttocks......or on the legs, arms, even the face.

People think they have pimple or a bug bite.

And they spread it through a family by sharing towels etc

The store is being a jerk.
They said that they could have charged me 1000 and are being nice. I'm talking with the probation officer today to see what he knows about this.
Seeing your post, on my way to store
I am making stuffed bell peppers tonight. I hardly ever have those and got me a good recipe, yum, yum. Now as far as the hamburger, I sometimes just like a burger on its own, nothing else.
A woman just hit me in a store!
I was at the cash register paying for my things, and the lady behind me dropped a piece of paper. I picked it up and gave it to her. She said thanks, and I turned back to the cashier. A few seconds later, SLAM! she had hit me really hard in my shoulder! She obviously wasn't mentally "with it". Something is wrong, but she shouted, "I know you. Hi!" I said firmly, "You do not know me. Please do not hit me!" I didn't make a big deal out of it, because she obviously had something wrong with her. I thought she looked a little like she had Down Syndrome, with very widely spaced eyes and the typical look. But she did hit me hard and left a bruise. And I'm 200 pounds. When she hit me, she had enough power to push me a couple of steps away. I have to say, I was a little scared. She seemed to be alone. The manager came over to talk to her, and I just said that I was okay and left, so I don't know what happened after that.
drug store
loved the fountain drinks, miss the five and dimes like Woolworth's.
I usually try the feed store first,
they used to carry something called yellow marlin, but I warn you, it is highly poisonous, a consideration if you have young ones about or curious animals inside. They carry a small jug like contraption you put water in to draw wasps and they can't get out, but I don't know about fruit flies or gnats. Good luck.
I think I spend less at the store when

we eat out/order in.  Of course, then our "entertaining" budget increases.  But some things are cheaper to just order in.  For example, pizzas -- I can get 2 large pepperoni pizzas from the local pizzeria for under $20.  If I buy them in the store, I spend about $15 and then have to cook them and my kids don't like the frozen kind as well.  The frozen kind are also smaller.

I just got groceries this past Friday and spent $200.  I had an entire cart full.  In addition to the coupons I had, I also had a 20% discount on everything (one of those reward plans for spending so much the previous 2 months).  I got value packs of skinless/boneless chicken breasts - buy 1 get 1 free -- $15 packs of chicken, breakfast sausage on sale, ham steaks on sale, plus my 20% off all that.

Overall, I think I spend somewhere around $150 a week on groceries.  There are 5 of us -- me, my hubs, and 3 boys -- ages 6 to 11.

What I notice that I spend more on are school lunches.  It costs $2.00 a day per child and I don't think they actually eat it.  I'm thinking about packing my kids' lunches each day.  $2/day x 3 kids = $6/day x 5 days/week = $30/week x 4 weeks/month = $120 for lunch.  YIKES!!! I think I can do better than that if I pack them.

Never had enough to open a store...sm
But have bought and sold on ebay for over 10 years. Love it.
dollar store
One year was particularly bad and I went to the dollar store and bought 64 things and wrapped every one. It was quite an impressive hill under the tree.
Does anyone here have an online store for their
beading jewelry?  I am interested in taking a peek if you bead on the side of MT'ing...  I love the jewelry but don't quite have the patience...
back of the store
Lately, I have noticed a lot of manager's specials at my store. The only thing they have in common is that they are due to expire that day. I guess they used to throw that stuff out, but a lot of people need it now. Usually everything is around a dollar or so. There is one for dairy, meat, and bakery at my store which is actually in a wealthy neighborhood. I guess everyone is having a hard time lately.
If the store is still open....
If you have a big platter or can get a throw-away one, make a nice cheese and cracker platter and put a bowl of grapes in the middle, that way you'll still have something to munch on while playing cards, or before dinner as it sounds like dinner is going to be sparse. Throw a couple of boxes of cornbread muffin mix (quick) into a large baking dish and bring corn bread. Everyone loves corn bread. Monkey bread is easy to make with a couple of rolls of those prepaid biscuits and recipes are all over the net for it, simple. Or a fruit platter with a dip in the middle. My brain is tired and the stores are closing. Unless you want to bring a ham but you'd be taking a chance on ruining her menu, after all,you are the DIL! Good luck with it, drink some Slim Fast first! Happy Day! While you're playing cards, something simple is "Scoops" with salsa. Just happen to have them in your trunk. Hurry up, it's getting late, maybe the drug store is open or a 711.
Do you have a store that sells the little

discs of chocolate to melt that are more for candymaking?  These work the best as the parafin is already in the candy, so they set better.  You could try also anywhere that sells supplies for baking cakes to see if they have the candy-making chocolate discs.

Also, you may want to let the peanut butter balls sit before coating, as I think it has something to do with the oil in the peanut butter.  Let them sit to "dry" before coating with any type of chocolate.

Candies that are homemade should be stored in tins with wax paper in a cool dry place and not necessarily in the refrigerator.  If you do store in the refrigerator make sure the container is air tight as the chocolate will pick up the flavors of other things in your refrigerator, i.e., onions...

My mother made homemade candies; all types!  RIP:  Mom; we'll miss your candies again this year...

Have you tried contacting a store

in your area that sells the flooring?  They may have some suggestions.  I know for hardwood they carried a product with the actual spray (but it was cheaper at a local home store).  Just call and ask what is best to use and if they say they have products, then maybe take some time to check them out and see if you can get them cheaper somewhere else.

My husband is in the flooring business (sales/installer), and we actually had hardwoord put down and the product used to clean it was cheaper at a home store than the store where he works, so we bought it at the home store.

Hope this helps!  Happy mopping, which reminds me....  geesh I'd better do that soon.  I vacuum my vinyl (yucko) kitchen floor and mop probably once a month really mop by moving the table etc.  But likely Emily, I also have a swiffer but it's not as effective and leaves a sticky residue.  It's good for when the kids spill things though..

I would go to the store and tell them outright
you are cancelling and not interested. You don't have to deal with the sales pitch. Just tell them NO. If you do it in person, you have the paperwork from the actual store. Don't know I would totally trust doing it on the internet.
Book Store

Go to a Borders, Barnes & Noble, or like bookstore on Sunday morning.  I have met some very nice and interesting gentleman who are emotionally and financially stable.  I get one of the coffee drinks from the cafe and hang out in the reading area.  Have had some quality conversations with different folks and learned a lot too.  I agreed to meet one fellow at an astronomy club meeting that evening.  The next day we met in a public park for a group bird watching walk.

Not true. Don't assume because you store something somewhere
that the person storing it is liable if something is lost or stolen. In fact, I had stuff stolen from a storage facility and they were not liable. Luckily my homeowners insurance paid.

In this case I believe both husbands were at fault. OPs husband because he chose rest rather than being sure that the quads were safe....and BIL because he shouldn't have accepted responsibility for the quads if he didn't feel he could store them safely. Both should take equal responsibility for the loss IMO.

And that is why I don't shop at those store, but there are many stores that I do
items.  I'm not holding any anger from this end, I am just going to continue to stick to my convictions.
I agree. I think allowing any pet in a store, other than
It really makes women look ridiculously foo-foo. LOL
grocery store inconsideration--sm
This may sound weird, but I have had it happen to me just about every time I go to the grocery store, or any store really, that have shopping carts. People who stare right at you and then run right into you with their shopping carts, like they never even saw you. Most never even say excuse me. I just don't see how people can look you right in the eye and then run into you. I think it is purposely, just to get a reaction. RUDE.
If you have a specialty sewing store
near you, you might want to call them and ask for their suggestions. They might be able to help or at least point you in the right direction.
What would you really do if a store forgot you owed them?
I know what is the right thing to do but I just purchased over $8,000.00 worth of furniture and I have been billed for almost $300.00 and it said my payment could be around $10.00 on that. I received the bill about a week ago and was planning on paying that in full but what would you do if you received no more notices and really- what would you do- would you call them and tell them a mistake, would you not pay and hope they have mischarged you or ??
Go to a department store and have it professionaly done. sm
You don't have to buy all the expensive products that were used on you unless you want to. Just pay attention to what is used and then go to a discount store and use cheaper products.
We have the best Goodwill store in my town
Lots of rich people in my area who donate their clothes to the Goodwill store. Designer brand clothes still with tags on or worn maybe once or twice. I usually have better luck buying stuff there than I do at any retail stores. Most of the shirts, skirts, pants are $4 or $5. Bought my daughter a J. Crew hand-knit sweater there last year for $12, originally was close to $100. Don't think it had ever been worn. My daughter is a shoe-aholic and buys her shoes at thrift stores. That skeeves me out a little though.
You got this at a Walmart store or online?...nm
ss
If you have a local craft store
like Hancock Fabrics or Joann Fabrics, they might be able to teach you the basics. You could also check with local quilting clubs - you might find a new hobby and meet new people this way.
Smoking in Grocery Store
I remember my mom pushing me in the grocery cart, I must have been 3 or 4, and she would be smoking away. When the cigarette was gone, she would throw it on the ground and step on it. Classy lady, I know, but really, that was the norm back in the 60's.
agree with book store
For years it was my usual habit to go to B&N on Saturday mornings - sat and had a coffee, chilled out. One Saturday I did not go and when I returned the following Saturday a real nice guy approached me and asked why I had not shown up. Of course, I initially thought he was a stalker. He had been going there for months and did not have the nerve to approach before then. We have been married for 12 years!
If you have a Michaels Craft Store by you--sm
they should have Donna Dewberry books. She used to do TV shows on painting and she has easy to follow books. E-bay may have some DVDs or books laso. She also had some on-line classes also. Really liked watching her. Do a Google search also.

The Michaels in my area quit giving painting classes. Used to take Bob Ross and her classes and really miss them. Only offer Walton cake decorating which does not interest me at all.
Never buy frozen pizza from the store
I have never found one that does not taste like eating a piece of cardboard. I have a Johnny's Pizza probably as close as the nearest store and my goodness, what terrific pizza but I also love my pepperoni and green olive stromboli. Yum, yum.
