What an awesome post! I agree, agree, agree completely with you.
You are right on the money in my book!
Completely agree with your post. Don't bring sm
ANYTHING to school or on bus. It will get stolen and how could you even prove the game belonged to your son?
Agree with chalk it up to experience.
As far as calling parents: You will be the one cursed out. They will never believe their little darling could pilfer anything.
You obviously didn't read my post completely..
I said I USED to be overweight! I have not always been a size 6, I was much larger just a couple of years ago. I was technically considered obese and decided to do something about it. It was completely my fault and because of the food choices I was making and not exercising. I do have compassion for those people that have a problem and do something about it, but not for those that just sit around blaming others for THEIR problem! You really need to go see a dietician or someone who can help you eat correctly and start exercising every day. If you're really only hungry once a day, then you're probably snacking way too much and so your body only wants one meal. There are plenty of different programs out there that could really help you with your weight loss, but you have to be open to change and realize that you are the only one that has the power to change your life. You're also going to have to be completely honest about what your eating and it would really help if you wrote everything down. For me, I have to eat every 3 hours (3 small meals and 2 healthy snacks), stop eating 3 hours before bedtime and exercise at least 5 days a week to keep my weight down. When I started out losing the weight, I kept a food journal and it really helped me to see what I was putting in my body and make sure that I wasn't eating too many/too few calories. By the way, I not the same person as "anon" and I don't believe that I have said anything harsh to you.
Agree completely......nm

I completely agree! (sm)
As strange as this woman may have been, including the people she chose to surround herself with, there has never been a question about how she felt about her beloved son. Let's hope this woman can finally have some peace in the next few days and spend eternity next to the one person that wasn't involved with her for his own personal gain!
Completely agree...
I have the same standards. Sleeping together is a gift that comes with marriage in my opinion. It is your house and your rules. Good for you for sticking to it!
I completely agree...sm
I live in one of the states that is in the middle of terrible turmoil due to illegal immigrants and what gets me is the minute citizens try to get laws that are already on the books enforced we are considered racists. The illegal immigrants form marches and get on TV and tell the world how terrible and racist the politicians are who are just trying to have laws that are already written enforced. It is just crazy. I mean they are here illegally, it has nothing to do with their race, it has to do with the fact that they are breaking the law and need to be treated like any other law breaker in this country. Geez. You have to be a citizen to vote, but all our signs outside the voting places have to be bilingual, does that make sense to you? Most jobs in my area are now only hiring bilingual people, so unless you learn Spanish, it is very hard to find a job, which I find even more irritating. I mean, what would happen to an American citizen if they tried to jump the border to any other country in the world, do you think we would be given any sort of rights other than being thrown in jail, deported, or just plain disappearing off the face of the earth? I don't think so.
I agree completely! Very well said (nm)

I also as a child was spanked NOT beaten, an I can tell you that my generation had MUCH more respect than the generations now. I am not that old either...late 30s, but back in the day, the neighbors spanked you, then sent you home to your parents whom they called, and you got it again...needless to say, I turned out JUST fine and again, have a LOT more respect for my elders now. I cannot STAND when people say that just because you spank your child means that you beat them...I have 4 children, whom are spanked when needed, which has not had to be often, but I can bet you that they respect me, their dad, AND other adults, and even my oldest ones (who are teenagers by the way) have said THEY think it has made them better people. They can COMPLETELY understand WHY we as parents may resort to spanking (and we used time outs too, but those only work for so long and for the "little" things). I too think that if more parents "spanked" NOT BEAT, their children, we would not have all the disrespect we have today. Just another example of "society/government" getting in the way. Again, spanking and beating are two different things, so DON'T confuse the two. As it says in the bible...spare the rod, spoil the child! JMHO!!
Agree completely
I've always known my IQ (from accredited Mensa tests). and IQ may go down (due to age, partying too much, etc.) but it never goes up. I've taken several tests from different sources throughout the years (I guess I'm just weird) and the figure always stayed the same. I was on a dating forum a couple years back and everyone started coming on saying they were geniuses because they took an online test and it said so. I am also well acquainted with the Bell Curve, and also I knew from most of those poster's prior comments that they weren't the brightest bulbs in the box. It smelled fishy so I took it, and it padded my IQ by 10-20 points!
If you really want to know your IQ (or your child's, they have a kid's one), you can buy an accredited test (published by Mensa) at most mall bookstores for about $3. Most online tests are crap, designed to suck you into a marketing ploy, as well as make you look like a fool bragging that you're a genius, along with anybody else that takes it.
I agree with you completely!
It is such a rediculous thing to even think that EVERY pitbull is mean. So stereotypical of a narrow-minded person!
COMPLETELY agree.

Completely agree...
You just don't know who you're talking to these days. There could be things going on at home, or like you said, these people could be dangerous. Best to let the school district handle it.
I completely agree with you.
I'm not gay, but I totally see where you're coming from. The fact is, is that gay couples are no different from straight couples.
One of my favorite entertainers is a guy by the name of John Barrowman, who I think is a little better known in the UK than he is in the US. He is a very out and proud gay man and one of the things he is a most passionate advocate about is showing people that there is not a difference - that a gay couple goes through every day life just like a straight couple does.
I used to work with a man who was gay and he said something that really struck me one day. He said being gay is about who you're sleeping with, and that's no one's business but your own.
I agree completely. There would be no other
reason for her complete change in behavior.
I completely agree and ...
There are loads of rumors flying around about him cheating, however, there are just as many floating around about her cheating with one of her bodyguards. You could tell on the show that he is completely miserable. I believe that this man just wants a normal life, she has been pulled into the lime light and loves it. She travels a lot more than Jon does and admitted as much in an interview that she gave. She is giving speaking engagements and doing book tours and is gone for weeks at a time. Jon gave up his job to stay at home with the kids, like Kate, and I have to wonder if that is not where some of the problems started. I know from working at home for years that you can lose your identify if you are not careful and with the television crew there all of the time, all of the filming that goes on constantly, you have to wonder if he has not lost himself, again, I certainly think that she has.
There are so many possibilities here on what happened, how it happened, who is at fault, etc., etc., but I truly hope for these 8 children, as well as Jon and Kate, that they can salvage things in the end, if they truly still love each other.
I completely agree .... sm
Jon was not the only one that was accused of cheating, it has been reported for months and months that Kate was cheating with one of her body guards, actually before the news broke that Jon was caught cheating. Unfortunately I do not have much of a life, sitting in front of the computer most of the time with the tv on, so I have watched this show quite a bit. I have seen changes in both Jon and Kate, but IMHO, more so in Kate. She has really been big on the cosmetic surgeries, going to the spas and making it more about her than anyone else. On top of that she has always, ALWAYS, been so dominating when it comes to Jon and even as the guys from the bike show (okay don't watch that one), said, she definitely wears the pants in the family. I believe that this is a situation where it really is 50/50, she likes the fame, fortune and running everything and he wants a regular life, a regular family and to be the man of the house. He even stated last night that he had found himself, had learned to stand up to her and that had caused even worse problems.
Again, these are just some of the things that I have seen and are my opinion.
I agree with that analogy completely.

I agree completely! It will be 30 years for us
in June and I definitely want him around for at least another 30.
completely agree w/your point on legal/illegal, but sm
I wish the outrage regarding illegals was across the board. When it comes to Mexicans, since they benefit big business and since their only dirty business is under their fingernails, it's okay.
I'm just saying we shouldn't have one standard for one religion or race and a different one for another.
Completely against...agree 21 is too young, still too immature and irresponsible.

I completely agree with you. Cats much happier inside. Hard

I agree completely with Jerrie, Call your local Division of Family Services and they can help
tremendously, especially if she is a danger to herself or others. They can take custody of the elderly, as they can the young children, and protect them from all sorts of abuse, including themselves. You will not be a bad person for doing this, but perhaps a Godsend.
My prayers are with you.
I agree with post below --sm
but also, if I were in your shoes, and I have been in the past, I would definitely be looking for another place to live. I know that sometimes that is not possible, but you have to think of your own safety and your children's safety over a house to live in. Sometimes you just have to move as far away from the *problem* as possible. If he can't see you, he can't hurt you. Don't rely on police. Protect yourself first. good luck to you!
I agree with your post...
I would not recommend a tubal to anyone...talk to your SO about a vas, SO much easier on the guy (isn't everything???)...GOOD LUCK THOUGH!
Agree with the above post
I would try to keep my trap shut, the more you say the more she wants to be with him. I learned that lesson years ago - my child grown has caught on and said - you don’t really like them, do you? I said why do you say that- I never said a word and they told me - that is just it- you didn’t say anything- if you had liked you would have said so.
I agree w/you and your post
mayo is made with eggs in it....and while the other post might *think* it's a myth - (m deceased mother got NUTS about mayo being uncovered in the jar even while we were using it - and we didn't put the lid on it immediately) - it's far from a myth. I was married to a French chef DE cuisine and I too was a chef for 5 years back in the 70s....and one is taught this.
Once can merely call Johnson & Wales Culinary School and/or any institute of culinary art anywhere in the USA (or in France) and ask this very question......IF one does not believe......
I have to agree with this post.
Not to flame you in anyway, but my son uses his money (I talked about this in an earlier post) uses his money for time with friends. My parents as well and my hubby and I paid for his used car. We pay his insurance and from time to time give him gas money because he does run errands for us, including taking his sister to after school activities. He is extremely active in after school activities, is involved in his youth group, and is a straight A student. Defintely during the school year there is no time for a part time job. Also someone mentioned a paper route. My brother and his SO other used to deliver papers as well as full-time jobs. Their day started at 4:15 every morning 7 days a week and they had at least 2 hours of delivering papers. I realize it is different everywhere, but if you took a day off you had to pay someone else 50.00 to take your route. If there was a complaint from anyone no matter what the complaint was, you were docked 1.50. The weekly paper doesn't even cost that much. I would never recommend a paper route, but if you are ever looking to hire someone and they have had a consistent paper route for over a year, that is the person you want to hire.
Agree with most of your post, but...
What's behind all of this mess, and what people don't want to consider is this: CAPITALISM by its very definition breeds corruption. Not only that is makes our economy DEPENDENT on people consuming/buying more than they can pay for.
PEOPLE! When wages are stagnant and everything goes UP, the economy implodes!
Anyway we are in a real mess and EVERYONE is to blame if we want to play that game, including the government - they RAPED the treasury to pay for yet another fake war.
the solution lies in what WE THE PEOPLE DEMAND: trust the crooks who did this to fix the problem? Then we deserve what happens next.
PEACEFUL PROTEST IS PATRIOTIC.
I have 3 children, but I agree with your post 100%

Applauds TM's post!!!! I so agree!...nm
I agree with latest post
It would be ideal if you could handle it with your SIL, but not always possible. I would begin talking to your child instead and explain that just because someone says they will do something doesn't always mean they will and there could be lots of reasons. He may as well learn it now, or he will defitely learn it later and then it may be about something much more significant and even more hurtful. I hope things get better with her. Oh! Maybe (if she has a child) you could "forget" the present and say you will bring it by later and then really DO it. That may make a point w/o having to be confrontational and jeopardizing your relationship. Just a thought. Good luck!
nice post. I agree....
I dreaded my first from warnings of others, and went to my local hospital and I was like..."That's it?" LOL!!! i was even told to take a pain killer pre- since it would be so bad. Heavens. Wish i would have known how NOT bad it was! Then, I had implants and was told the same, and that was just as easy. Dont put it off. My friend has double mastectomy for BC on Tuesday AM...she is 37!!!!
re: above post, I agree with Jan not "Lady"

I agree with your post - see message
I have 3 jobs and keep putting my resume in for jobs doing whatever it takes to get hired on somewhere that will give me benefits.
You are so right that in our industry you can't depend on just one. I have seen companies fail and if you are dependent on one you are going to go down with them - and they never tell the employee ahead of time. Also with the economy the way it is there is just nothing that is guaranteed anymore.
I have a husband but he doesn't work (can't finding anything, and think he's going through a midlife crisis), so that leaves just me. I'm the one who has to do it all and I do and I don't complain about it. When he sees me typing all the time he says he feels bad, but I told him I do what I gotta do because we have bills to pay and need to eat and have a roof over our head. I was brought up to believe you do what you have to do and you don't complain about it. If you are unhappy then you change the situation. We all make the lives we live. For us this certainly is not the perfect situation but I'm doing my best to change and improve it.
I too am in my 50s and I've been taking home study courses (along with working 3 jobs), also to transition to something different. One never knows what path the MT will be. I hear more and more about jobs going overseas, or the current administration doing whatever they are going to do to health care and that could change a lot. I just think it is wise to have another skill.
To the OP - if you are reading this all I would suggest is that if you can't stay with relatives try looking for a studio or something very cheap. It may not be your ideal place, but do whatever you can to find yourself another job. Search, search, search the local newspapers, employment boards here, there's a ton of websites for jobs. If you have to work every day and more than one job do it. Take whatever you can get and then work on getting something better. I wish you all the luck.
DITTO - Great post!! I agree.......nm
Amensister - GREAT post and I agree!!!!!
Government get out of our uteri !!!!!! (one of my rooms in my home is a tribute to the Native American by the way!!! *S*)
I agree totally this this post, though I have never been married,
and you should not have to disrupt their lives anymore than necessary by finding a new place to live, etc. Though from the sound of it, you dont like where you live and he does, but I would stay put like this poster suggests.
I agree with the post above, some lino is wonderful sm
and be clear, there real live linoleum and then there is vinyl flooring. REAL lino looks EXACTLY like anything they want to make it look like. Vinyl flooring won't look like anything other than what it is. I have kids and pets, so I have VINYL throughout the house with washable area rugs. I'd love hard wood or real lino, but sadly both are equally pricey and God knows, we don't make money in this business anymore.
what you say in your post makes sense,. I agree...
Don't doctors always emphasize HOW IMPORTANT the patient's attirude toward a treatment is?
The patient HAS TO BELIEVE in the success of the treatment, otherwise it will not work.
If the patient rejects a kind of treatment, IT IS NOT GOING TO WORK FOR HIM.
THE PATEIENT MUST HAVE A positive attitude and embrace the treatment.
I totally agree. Not to minimize your post, but there are far worse
To keep at it would be overkill.
Agree with the catnip on scratching post - works for me. nm
they ARE completely different
i can't believe you have a friend that had the nerve to compare her abortion to your miscarriage!!! im so sorry for your loss
I completely believe that. sm
I've never been separated from a marriage, but in 2 long-term (several year) relationships that finally succumbed to breaking up, we got along WAY better once we were 'only' friends. The change was immediate! Best of luck to you both. Sounds like you tried your hardest.
Understand you completely - sm
My situation is exactly the same. He can ignore me for weeks. I mean completely ignore me to the point that I may as well not even be here unless he has run out of clean underwear and socks.
Then when he gets a wild hair, I'm supposed to jump with glee? No thanks, I would rather spend my time planning for the day I leave his sorry self now.
I may be completely wrong,
but when I caught a little bit of the story on the news, it sounded like the "amount of money she had been offered equaled out to 20,000 a day for each day they were married. I would not call her a gold digger when they first married, I mean, I most certainly could fall in love with Sir Paul, but now it sounds like she wants everything. As for Dancing with the Stars, she has shown up but I don't see the public embracing her and voting for her to stay.
